Every religion has its own bad apples but that doesn't mean the tree is bad. U said some were shot dead cos of failure to recite, could u justify that by bringing a qur'anic verse to support it. And if it does we would justify ur claim. the qur'an said in 2:256 there is no compulsion in religion. So don't blame islam, hate the bad apples and not the tree! nice, but there are soo many compelling and dominating actions from its fruits....Pushing for an islamic sharia state itself is enough compulsion, intolerance and dominating and this seems to be the aim of all these terrorist organisations...we shud live together even with sinners with the aim of leading them to the right path, We can only have a city of saints in Heaven. |
Christianity Etc › The Bitter Truth About Extra-biblical References And The Aim Of Lucifer. by winner01(op): 11:35am On Nov 23, 2014*. Modified: 5:05pm On Sep 17, 2016 |
I was shocked when my neighbour showed me a book and said it was distributed to every member of their church... The book is called the book of mormon (the church of Jesus christ of latter day saints). Yeah that's right, an extra biblical reference.....Other extra biblical references I've heard of are; the urantia book, the 7 books of moses, the secet of the psalms, The marian apparition, And some books from other faiths which teach about Jesus. The authors of these books claimed to see and hear from God Almighty, Christ, spirits, angels, extraterrestrial beings and visitations of strange sorts. Ever wonder there are so many denominations in Christianity, each claiming to be the real Christ followers?, ever wonder why there are several extra stories about the life of christ?, ever wonder why there are several other faiths that teach about Jesus?, ever wonder why free-masons and illuminati puppets (musicians) sing against Christ?, ever wonder the reason why churches spring up in hundreds? The reason is simple; satan and his fallen angels recognise how important it is to genuinely know Jesus Christ, and so they slot in alternative ways to know christ. In our quest for knowledge we need to be extremely carefully because we must recognise that one common tactic that Satan uses to deceive people is to claim new revelations that aren't in the Bible. These extra-Biblical revelations are often very seductive because they offer alleged secret knowledge that wasn't revealed in the Bible. Books like the Urantia book are even more seductive because of their elaborate, in-depth expose of the spiritual world and the alleged universes beyond our own.
What most people who get caught up in these cults don't realize is who they're matching wits with. Most of us like to think we've got reasonably good instincts and that we're pretty good at picking out the heresy. We probably can do a pretty good job when matching wits with most other people. Perhaps that gives us a false sense of security that we mistakenly think also applies to matching wits with the spiritual world.
The problem is that when we try to match wits with Satan, he's going to win almost every time if we try to go it alone. It is vital to remember who Satan is. Once upon a time a great creation, he was created with an amazing, in-depth knowledge and power that he became prideful and foolishly believed he could be an equal to his creator. When Satan was ejected from Heaven, the Bible didn't say that God took away all that knowledge or his ability to engage in supernatural activities. The truth is that Satan is a master deceiver and story teller. He knows what ingredients he must weave into his story telling to make them alluring to unsuspecting, and uninformed people. His goal is to seduce us away so that we will follow him willingly, even cheerfully. He's not going to have near the success if he tries clobbering us over the head with obvious demonic doctrines and he's smart enough to know that. He mixes just enough truth in with his lies to sneak the lies past us, under our radar.
He and other fallen angels and demons understand the intense curiosity that humans posses and plays to it by spinning elaborate tales that dazzle and amaze us. They play on our fears by soothing us with lying reassurances that Hell does not exist, or by focusing only on God's love and mercy while distracting us away from God's judgment and wrath. They exploit our pride and or desire for power by telling us we too can become gods. They focus on our desire to trust by false reassurances that these extra-Biblical revelations are in harmony with the Bible. They exploit our desire to be loved by mixing in strong messages of love with the poison that will ultimately lead to our spiritual death in Hell. They play on a variety of lusts including sexual promises. Their ability to deceive would make the combined Psychological Operations units of all the world's military's seem like childish amateurs.
For those who lack a solid biblical foundation about how Satan and other fallen angels operate, and what Biblical doctrines they normally attack, the demonic realm can play them like a fiddle. These deceived people will often experience a false sense of peace that comes from the new "enlightenment" they believe they've received from the extra- Biblical revelations, whatever they happen to be. They may go to their graves thinking all is well, and looking forward to an eternity in heaven, only to discover the ugly truth when it's too late. They will learn in the next life that like sheep to the slaughter, Satan and/or other fallen angels had been leading them around by the nose the whole time with his tall tales, signs and wonders and clever deceptions. It doesn't have to be this way. The good news is that God did not leave us defenceless against this kind of trickery. He gave us everything we need in the Bible to enable us to separate the wheat from the chaff. The bible verses that follow represent only a tiny fraction of what God revealed to us that enables us to see through even Satan's best efforts to deceive us.
Sadly, many of these deceived people will never turn to the Bible for the life-saving guidance it can give them. They avoid the Bible for a variety of reasons. Some do so because of sin in their life they're afraid they'll have to give up if they fully submit to God's authority in the manner God demands it of them in scriptures. Others won't turn to the Bible because Satan has already thoroughly deceived them into not trusting it. Others will turn to the Bible but because they are members of liberal churches who engaged in what could only be described as highly tortured Bible interpretation, they won't find the truth even though it's right under their noses.
The bottom line is this. You can't trust someone else to do your thinking and studying for you. You have a personal responsibility to God to earnestly seek the truth, and to not ignore God if you sense He's calling you back to the Bible to find His truths there. In the end, you will be judged on Judgment Day for how well YOU put forth effort to discover His truth, not how well others did your thinking for you.
Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish [ought] from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
Deuteronomy 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
Proverbs 30:5-6 Every word of God [is] pure: he [is] a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Revelation 22:18-19 The previous verses quoted were from old testament books. The final book of the Bible was the book of Revelation. It is physically the last book in the Bible, but it was also the last book written in the Bible (90 AD). Revelation begins with these verses: The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. Blessed [is] he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and KEEP those things which are written therein: for the time [is] at hand.
Revelation 1:1-3 Revelation ends with these verses: For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.
Galatians 1:6-12 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught [it], but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 1 Timothy 4:1
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Matthew 24:11
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Matthew 24:24
For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:13-14
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2Peter 2:1
This is not to judge but a reminder to test all spirits as the bible commands..
Drop religion and embrace TRUTH and REALITY.
Bless you.

Back to the topic i want you to know that jonathan is a citizen of this country and have the rights to declare his candidacy(same way you have rights of expression here)even when blood thirsty hooligans wants him not to do so and thats what is argued here.as for the people campaigning for the presidency only jonathan looks credible than others am not saying he is better than all Nigerians but he is better than his opponents we all are Nigerians and we know it.but to use words SIMILAR to yours(cos i ve overgrown using those american wannabe curse words,i call them teenage words)i dont care about jonathan, buhari, atiku and the rest they are all politicians but i care about my beloved country Nigeria and if we will have a presidential election next year there is no better candidate than the sitting president, shey you dey hear am. so those people who insisted on causing violence are now greater than the commander in chief of the armed forces according to you, or some1 who condones numerous scandals, who gulps billion of dollars giving lame excuses,....is obviously not my friend or the friend of any Nigerian....so if I don't support jonathan, I automatically am in support of apc or other parties abi, or he needs help from me to end phcn problem or to provide jobs for millions of nigerian graduates.....all these just shows how smart you are.... |

Get this straight no sitting president not even obama is loved by his whole country so be free to hate and insult your president but i bet you that nobody can do that to buhari if he is the president.don't stop your name calling cos thats the only way you know how to make your points lolz when I read comments from people like you, I weep for Nigeria.....Look at my previous comments and tell me if u can find any support for buhari, apc or whatever...I'm a supporter of Nigeria and I'm just tired of insincerity from the govt....I don't care abt apc, pdp, apga whatever, I only care about nigeria and humanity.....thousands upon thousands of lives have been lost and they are our brothers and sisters and our govt. is vividly incapable of handling them, The primary assignment of any president of any country in the world is to protect the lives of its citizens, if lives have been lost and the govt. Keeps telling all sorts ranging from arrests made, to consoling the affected families repeatedly, to being on top of the situation..then I think its time to put a halt to these demons....Nobody in any country is more powerful or influential than its president....if provisions are made and the order is given this hour, boko haram will be ended, except of course he has a hand in it ( I will never write off the possibility of human sacrifices except you want to tell me why the Nigerian association of witches and wizards were invited to his inauguration).....once again, I don't giv a fu*k abt apc, pdp, apga,ad, buhari, tinubu, goodluck, fashola or any political rubbish, I only care abt humanity, Nigeria and its future.. |

Show me in the bible the phrase "God the Son"
Is there any difference between the phrase "Son of God", "God's son" and "God the Son"?
Phil 2:6 above - see the bolded section, ponder over it.
You carefully omitted Phil 2:9 for your convenience. Did Paul call Jesus God there. "Therefore God has highly exalted him (Jesus).....", Did you notice verse 11:"...God the Father".
Did Paul see Jesus as his God? Eph 1:17- "that the God of our Lord Jesus christ, the Father of glory....."
------------------------------------------------------------------- Here oh Isreal, our lord our God is "ONE" not "Three". He is not three headed or three-faced. off point, they bear witness in heaven and several times the apostles said the grace( may the grace of our Lord jesus christ......... etc) ....nobody is saying they are equal but they are ONE...and I still maintain that you are only just human...may God give you the answers you seek, |

Man and beast/animals are the same (flesh, blood, bones, spirit etc) even Science says so. Na because of people like you na make Atheist dey talk wetin dem dey talk.
Paul said there is a physical body and a Spiritual body also. They are different. Man cannot possess both at the same time.
God is spirit according to John you quoted, Jesus is a life giving spirit where is the different form you speak of? science, atheists, lol...may God give you understanding, I'm out. |

RikoduoSennin: Eccl 3:19-21 " Animals have Spirits too" are they created in God's image too. After all they have body, Spirit and are refer to as "souls" in the bible a good number of times.
What makes human special- in that same way we reflect God's image not the composition of our body.
Yes, Man his a soul, with only body he was a dead soul. Man only became a "Living" soul when he has breath of life in him- just like electricity powers a radio. Note the bolded section.
The man and his soul is not seperate, what happens to one affects the other. Man himself is a soul.
Man has facial hairs and women have breast, do God have any of these? You need to ask yourself, in what way is man/woman created in the image of God.
Jesus exist in the "image of God", so if man is made in that same "image", we are like them. It does not prove anything. A father can have several children who inherits his traits and features.
Jesus knew the disciples believe in God, the closing statement he is asking them to BELIEVE IN HIM "ALSO". The use of the word also means they are different beings not the same.
Eccl 3:19,20 -" Man and beast (animals) go to the same place, they die and turn to dust. Same eventuality.
Eze 18:20 " The soul that sinneth Shall die...." Soul dies with the Body. The book of Revelation is giving in "Signs", everything is symbolic-figurative language not literal.
Now, Can Mary seperate are Soul or her spirit from her self. Was it really are Soul or Spirit that was speaking what was written down here? How can her Spirit or Soul speak/praise/rejoice? Where is her spirit/ soul located?
The Father was in Heaven, Jesus was in Heaven and the Holy spirit was on earth- filling upward of 120 persons at a time. You get, not to mention, the Son was on earth existing seperately I might add.
If the Spirit leaves the body, one die, is that so. How then is the body "independent" of the spirit. So if the holy spirit leaves Jehovah God, Jehovah or Jesus dies- is that it? Bravo, A "christian" who does not believe in the manifestation of the spirit, John 4:24..Even the physical manifestation of the spirit....You can even tell me that there are no such thing as evil spirits,...I see no sense in many of your points up there, man is not a soul, he is an embodiment of the body, soul and spirit and in the spiritual realm, the spirit exists and functions,.....God and Jesus in heaven, Holy spirit on earth, well that is why he is God.....oh yes, spirits do speak, rejoice and act...its hard for you to comprehend, I know, but its about God and you are just as human....its His Word, and it is settled...God bless |

Carefully slotting in the heresy huh. Simple Logic does not work with the things of God....Jesus Christ did claim to have a Father, cried out to the Father, prayed to the Father e.t.c and also claimed divinity....I don't see your point because no true christian claims that Jesus is God the father, the bible clearly shows us that they exist as different divine Beings....However, many christians will agree with you that Jesus is God the son, the bible will forever point to that fact....... phil 2:6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross I know it does not agree with human logic and wisdom, that what it is when it comes to the things of God (our Creator). RikoduoSennin: God spoke Through "the Prophets" just like he spoke through "the son", proving the Son is not the Same as God Almighty, he his just a servant like "the Prophet" with a Special position - God's only begotten son.
See the bolded section: Jesus was appointed heir to God, just like a human Father does through his Last will and testament.
"BY WHOM ALSO he made the worlds"- Jesus his the architect God used to make the world.
Note the bolded section, Jesus is the "express IMAGE of God", not the Almighty himself. The use of the word "image" denotes Jesus is not the Original.
Jesus sat down at the right hand of the "Majestic on high", meaning he is not the Majesty on high. He is just his right hand man. No mention of the Holy spirit. Try compare other translation of this verse.
Did you notice the bolded section, Was God Almighty MADE/CREATED ? Here the Son was MADE/CREATED (not my words please).
Jesus obtain a more excellent name, How? A: By INHERITANCE, same way a firstborn son inherits things from his father. Does an ALMIGHTY GOD needs inheritance or inherits anything from anyone?
The relation of God and Jesus explained in common terms man can understand eg "a Father and a son"- they are not equal and not the same.
Did you not the mention of " this day" by God himself.
Why is Jesus called the First begotten? What does that expression me.
Did this verse mean, "Let all the angels of Jesus worship Jesus" or "Let all the angels of God (who is seperate from Jesus) worship Jesus".
Someone gave the command or go ahead for the angels to worship Jesus before they did. It was not just voluntary.
Look closely at the bolded section. Did you see the Father telling Jesus something there, reminding him and you reading that scripture that Jesus has a God above him.
Tell me, who are Jesus "Fellows" whom he was anointed or elevated over?
Jesus called the Father- "My God"-John 20:17. The Father has never called Jesus such. You still don't see any difference in that. Please show me where either Jesus or the Father call the Holy spirit God.
The point: Jesus has a God he answers to, so he can't be the ALMIGHTY but the Father on the other hand, has no one above him, not even one like him. RikoduoSennin: Not all christian believe what you believe. Prove to me from the Bible that the Body, Spirit and Soul can exist independently from one another. Note: Body without spirit is dead, both need each other for the being to be called a living soul. In christianity, you are either a believer or not a believer, you should know that there exists a realm other than the physical, then tell me if our flesh exists in that realm?.... You should also know that "You shall not surely die", as a christian that physical death means separation of your body and soul, while spiritual death is the separation of God and man...... Matthew 10:28 - And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Note; the body can be killed and not the soul Ecclesiastes 12:7 - Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. Note; the spirit returns Genesis 2:7 - And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Note: God gave the form of man a soul Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Note: Matthew 16:26 - For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Genesis 35:18 - And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin. Note: the soul departed Genesis 1:27 - So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Note of course: Gods image Galatians 5:16-17 - [This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Note: walk in the spiritual realm Genesis 1:26-27 - And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 1 Corinthians 15:35-58 - But some [man] will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? John 14:1-3 - Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. Genesis 3:19 - In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou [art], and unto dust shalt thou return. Note where the body returns to Revelation 6:9-11 - And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held, Note : souls were seen 1 Corinthians 2:14 - But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned. Luke 1:46-47 - And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my saviour. Note: her soul magnifies, her spirit rejoices Genesis 1:26 - And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 3 John 1:2 - Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. RikoduoSennin: In your hurry to prove yourself you forgot verse 9: "You have loved righteousness and hated iniquity; THEREFORE GOD, EVEN YOUR GOD has anionted you with the oil of gladness ABOVE YOUR PARTNERS/FELLOWS".
Please interpret that for me. Hebrews chapter1 Verse1. God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. 5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. 7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows Of course, Jesus called God the Father GOD in several scriptures in the bible, God the Father also calls Jesus Christ God as we can see here.....The bible also tells us that the word was God...Once again, The only sense you can make is to fault the credibility of the Holy Bible and not the concept of the Holy Trinity.....As the bible confirms over and over again the triune form of our Creator, i find it difficult to believe that you are a christian who believes in the story of salvation through Christ....God the Father sent Him (God the Son) to the earth to take on the sins of man (Note; no man, only God could take on the sins of man). If you don't believe this, then I'm sorry (foolish is the message of the cross).....You might even want to tell me who God was talking to during creation as I asked in my article, Bottom line is Gods existence is extremely beyond human reasoning, He created us, we didn't create Him. However we can start to know Him through his word, the Bible. Ecc 8:17 then I saw all that God has done. No one can comprehend what goes on under the sun. Despite all their efforts to search it out, no one can discover its meaning. Even if the wise claim they know, they cannot really comprehend it. |

RikoduoSennin: Why do you refer me to your half baked thread. It does not relate to my previous post rather it points to other flaws in your argument.
The RCC did not want the bible to be translated in common languages and widely distributed to common folks because they want to hold people in false teachings. Seeing intelligent people to still falling prey is so sad.
Tell me, Thomas called Jesus God, yes that you believe very easily because it suits you. Good, you claim to be a christian- which means follow of christ not Thomas (Jesus' words have more weight/authority than thomas).
Now Tell me, John 20:17 - Jesus called someone his God (Mind you than is not the only place he mentioned having a God). In what way did Jesus have a God?. What is the name/identity of the one Jesus called his God?. In Thomas' God-Jesus has a God whom he answers to, Who then is the ALMIGHTY GOD (Note: that title cannot be held by two equal beings- reason "ALL" .
Your God- Jesus is under someone- My God-Jehovah. So my God is superior to yours.
How many Holy spirit are there? Luke 11:13 " if ye then being evil know how to give good gifts unto your children:how much more shall YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER GIVE the HOLY SPIRIT to them that ask him?"
So if 1 million christians ask the Father for Holy spirit and as a loving Father he gives all of them just like he gave 120 at the penticost 33CE, how many holy spirit are their? Holy many God are there?
There are Gods, but to us there is only one true one, the Almighty. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Your logic, we are made in God's image : Spirit, body and Soul.
I tell you, human can not leave without their spirit/soul seperate from them, but apperently your 3 in 1 God can: yet we made in his image. And concerning the issue of the spirit, soul and body...I doubt you are a christian, if you are then you would know that those three forms can exist independently, at least on the subject of life after death.,maybe you should just read the article again, this time with open mindedness, God bless |

I tell you, human can not leave without their spirit/soul seperate from them, but apperently your 3 in 1 God can: yet we made in his image. you seem to know all about your "creator", you might even tell me how He came into existence.....I'm beginning to get confused on your idea of the "creator" and the created.....No matter how much you force it, He created you and there are certain things that will never be overly clear to us until we see our Creator...Until you can explain fully to me His ways, power, omnipresence, infinite nature and how He came into existence amongst others don't preach that you fully know His Form.....However the bible as our guideline has recorded truth and with the help of the holy spirit, we can discover this truth......the form of our creator might sound foolish to you, well so are his ways and even the message of the cross 1cor1:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 1 Corinthians 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 1 Corinthians 2:14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. There are several biblical scriptures pointing to this truth in the article I referred you to, even the Almighty God said this of the Son Hebrews 1:8 But about the Son he says, "Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. Finally, I think you should turn your argument towards the credibility of the Bible rather than the triune form of God, all your rants about some sect keeping people in false beliefs, selective bible distribution, false teachings e.t.c will for a better basis there...God bless. |

RikoduoSennin: If you really mean it then.
Isaiah 9:6 "... his name will be called wonderful counsellor, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER...."
Yes, this scripture relates to Jesus ( a child is born) and he is a mighty God "but it did not say Almighty God". Note that difference. Before you say Jesus is the Same as the one Called "The Father" , Note Everything Jesus said about the Father from Matthew to John.
Romans 9:5 "to them belong the Patriach and of their race, according to the flesh, is the christ[b].[/b] God who is over all be blessed for Ever. Amen. "
I don't know your intentions for quoting this scripture, but don't tell me you did not notice the FULL STOP sign between the word "Christ" and "God". That is not a coma, mind you. Q: So what do will use full stop sign for? A: to seperate two sentence/ thoughts/ ideas.
Yes Jesus is a Mighty God but he is not God the Almighty/Jehovah, if you claim to believe in Jesus then also believe him when he said "he has a God he answers to- John 20:17).
Q: How does a God have a God? IF Jesus has a GOD (Jehovah) what does that say about him? Where in the bible is the Holy spirit called a god or God or even equated to God? www.nairaland.com/1939388/man-trinity-god-trinity-created#26990237 |

Madawaki01: If Jesus was GOD, then why in Mark 12:29 did Jesus say, "Here, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord." The words "our God" indicate that Jesus had a higher God over him, a stronger God than him. Jesus didn't say "Your God". He said "our God" which includes Jesus as the creation of GOD. ----------- If Jesus was GOD, then why in John 20:17 did Jesus say, "I ascend to my God and your God? haffaze777: By Femi Aribisala The word “Trinity” can be found nowhere in the Bible. It is completely incongruous with scriptural understanding of God. God is not three persons. There is only one God and it is the Father. Jesus says: “salvation is of the Jews.” (John 4:22). Salvation is neither of the Romans nor of the Italians. The Trinity is an unscriptural concept, smuggled into Christendom under Roman Constantine by cloak-and-dagger means. Precepts of men Jesus says to God: “Your word is truth.” (John 17:17). But the doctrine of the Trinity is a lie. Here is the lie: “There are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.” (I John 5:7). This so-called scripture is counterfeit. It is non-existent in the original versions of the Bible. It was smuggled into the Bible by Trinitari-ans. Today, you will only find it in the King James editions. The very fact that Trinitarians found it necessary to smuggle I John 5:7 into the Bible in order to validate the doctrine of the Trinity shows conclusively that the doctrine is fake. The cardinal principle of God is simple and straightforward. Here it is in a nutshell: “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.” (Deuteronomy 6:4). This is validated by Jesus himself. (Mark 12:29). Therefore, hear O Christians, the Lord our God is not a Trinity. The Lord our God is one. Jesus berated the Pharisees for teaching as doctrines the precepts of men. (Matt-hew 15:9). Many churches have fallen into the same error with the Trinity fallacy. Family of God John says: “No man has seen God at any time.” (John 1:18). But men have seen Jesus. Therefore, the expression “God” refers exclusively to God the Father. Jesus never refers to himself as God; he reserves that terminology solely for the Father. When someone called him “Good Teacher,” Jesus replied: “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.” (Matthew 19: 17). Jesus never says God is a Trinity. Instead, he reveals God is a family. The head of this family is the Father. God’s household include Jesus; God’s sons and servants; and angels. That is more than a trinity. The man-made concept of the Trinity makes God an exclusive triumvirate, limited to “the Godhead. ” However, the Christ-revealed portrait of God makes God an inclusive and growing family, open to all believers. Jesus said to God: “I will declare your name to my brothers.” (Psalm 22: 22). Jesus is: “the firstborn among many brothers.” (Romans 8:29). Believers are the brothers of Jesus. But we are not the brothers of God. God is our Father. Sons of God Jesus only claims to be “the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:18). Indeed, he drew a distinction between God and himself. He said to God: “This is eternal life, that they may know You, THE ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” (John 17:3). When they accused him of blasphemy saying: “You, being a man, make yourself God,” Jesus replied: “I said, ‘I am the Son of God.’” (John 10:36). When Peter said to Jesus: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God,” Jesus confirmed this was a God- given revelation. He replied: “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 16:15-17). This divine affirmation was repeated during Jesus’ baptism (Matthew 3:17); and on the Mount of Transfiguration. (Matthew 17:5). There can be no higher validation than these. John says: “If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of God which He has testified of His Son.” (I John 5:9). Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus existed “before the foundation of the world.” (John 17:24). Then he became a man. (John 1:14). But God does not change. (Malachi 3:6). Jesus is a man. (John 8:40). But God is not a man (Numbers 23:19). Jesus died. But God cannot die. Jesus died but God raised him from the dead. Jesus calls himself “the beginning of the creation of God.” (Revelation 3:14). God confirms this, declaring to Jesus: “You are My Son, today I have begotten You.” (Psalm 2:7). But the Father himself is not begotten. He has no beginning but is from everlasting. The psalmist declares: “Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.” (Psalm 90:2). Jesus has a Father. But God has no Father. Jesus has a God. But there is no other God but God. Jesus says to Mary: “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” (John 20:17). However, it should be understood that the son of a lion is a lion. Therefore, Jesus, the son of God is a God. God the Father calls Jesus God, confirming his divinity. He says to Jesus: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” (Psalm 45:6-7). Jesus explained to the Jews that in the scriptures: “(God) called them gods, to whom the word of God came.” (John 10:35). Indeed, God calls his sons gods. He says: “You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High. But you shall die like men,” (Psalm 82:6-7). He also says to his servant, Moses: “I have made thee a god to Pharaoh.” (Exodus 7: 1). Moses himself declares to the Israelites: “The LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords.” (Deuteronomy 10:17). Paul summarises it thus: “Even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords), yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ.” (I Corinthians 8:5-6). In short, God is not Father, Son and Holy Ghost. There is only one God and it is the Father. There is only one Lord and it is Jesus. As a man cannot be differentiated from his spirit, so God cannot be differentiated from his spirit. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of God. God has no equals The word “Christ” is not Jesus’ surname. It means “the Anointed One.” But the anointed must be subordinate to the anointer. Nowhere in the scriptures is it ever said or implied that God is anointed. However, Luke says: “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power.” (Acts 10: 38). The Jews accused Jesus of making himself equal with God. (John 5:18). But Jesus never makes such claims. Instead he says: “My Father is greater than I.” (John 14:28). Jesus submitted totally to God. At Gethsemane, he said to him: “Not My will, but Yours, be do- ne.” (Luke 22:42). At-one-ment with God Nevertheless, Jesus declares: “I and My Father are one.” (John 10:30). However, the sense in which he makes this declaration is qualified. Jesus only does the will of the Father. (John 6:38). He only speaks the words of the Father. (John 14: 10). The works he does are the works of the Father. That is the true atonement, ensuring that he who sees Jesus sees the Father. (John 14:9). Jesus prescribes the same atonement for us. He says to God: “I gave them the same glory you gave me, so that they may be one, just as you and I are one: I in them and you in me, so that they may be completely one.” (John 17:22-23). www.nairaland.com/1939388/man-trinity-god-trinity-created#26990237 |

abubello: From your diagram you yourself claim the three are not the same yet you claim they are still one! Do you honestly think you are making sense here?
Moreover, are all the earlier prophets aware of the concept of trinity or did the concept start with Jesus, in other words are you saying that God almighty has been three in one all along or he was one and suddenly become three during the time of Jesus?
Can you tell us what Abraham , David, Moses etc said about Trinity or they were not aware othe concept? God created us, we did not create him...and therefore its very difficult to fully tell what he(our creator) is and what he is not Right from everlasting, the concept of the trinity has been settled....this link might answer your questions. www.nairaland.com/1939388/man-trinity-god-trinity-created |
