We strive to be like Christ because He set a perfect standard.
Why do you want imperfect people to stop looking up to a standard of perfection.

No matter your desperation and epistles, we know we are not perfect, and we wont stop trying to attain perfection like Christ commanded.

Why bother subjecting yourself to a life of rules you cannot reasonably live by?

They claim the bible is god's word but can't live by it's guidelines. When you through some verses about wealth and paradise in the afterlife they will "claim it" but when you tell them about stoning people who work on Sundays, or killing your wife because she is not a virgin on your wedding night, they will tell you that you need the holy spirit to understand the verse.

It is intellectual dishonesty. The willingness to subject yourself to slavery/subjugation, the unwillingness to think for yourself and have goat herders 2,000 years ago think and justify morality on your behalf, the yearning for constant surveillance by an imaginary being who watches and will punish you for wan.king but watches innocent women being raped and kids dying daily and does nothing about it but expects us to believe it is working in "mysterious ways" etc. It is this kind of thinking that holds us back as a specie.

Useless to you. Why do you need God to be useless in the lives of others.
If you were once unfortunate and blamed it on God, dont think you can make other people who make God a vital part of their lives share in your woes.

All the nonsense you quotes is what you desperately want to be true and not the truth. We've dealt with most of the crap you put up there.

Innocent people are raped and killed blah blah blah. It is consistent with scriptures. Evil exists and thats the reality.
Wish God away all you want while you still have the strength.
