Ill point out the flaws which you were too lazy to find in the analogy.



1. Doctors do not mock people who have cancer, they show tolerance, love and care so as to improve their patients mental state. Atheists do the direct opposite of this.



2. Doctors do not force their treatments on cancer patients like atheists here force their "belief in nothing" on people.



3. People who have cancer realize that they need help and will do anything to make it go away including seeking doctors treatments. Religious people live fine and do not look all over the internet for atheists.



4. Doctors are motivated to help people by incentives such as salary, wages etc not by an hatred for sickness.
Atheists are motivated solely by a hatred for God and religion.



5. Doctors realize that sickness is a part of humanity and are devoted to helping us minimize losses as much as possible.
Atheists do not realize that religion is part of mans nature ( several studies have shown this) even though it may be perverted in many cases, but feel it is alien to man and that they are in the best mental and emotional position to cure it.



6. Doctors believe that they do not know it all, but atheists demonstrate infinite knowledge. The demonstration is evident in their most infamous slogan "There is no God



7. Doctors do not go about bitching about how they were formerly students/suffered as a student to every cancer patient they see.
Atheist go about bitching and complaining about what they are not/what they used to be.



8. Death caused by cancer is about 17% per year worldwide. Atheism represents a minority worldview of about 14% worldwide. Atheism is most likely the cancer you were referring to.



9. Cancer has led to the death of millions worldwide. Atheism has led to 50 times the deaths commited by all religious groups combined together even though they have had lesser time to commit them.



10. Religious people are outrightly responsible for the democracy and developments in our world today, statistics shows that, (no matter how atheism tries to play down or hijack the acheivements of theism).
Atheist governments that have ever existed and still exist have seriously repressed democracy and developments.



11. Doctors do not thing they have the ultimate answers to life and respect other areas that shed light on the mystery of life.
Atheists feel that the are the most logical thinkers, because they checked the validity of their "rational" thoughts using their own logic.



12. Do not be dumbed down by the ideas of another depressed fellow. You claim to be a freethinker albeit falsely. At least, try to exhibit free thinking without regurgitating the thoughts of other atheists.

I did not start off as a Christian. I just wanted to live my life and be good. I didnt want any name tag, be it christian, atheist, free thinker etc. I just wanted to be human.

I realized I was terribly wrong and that even the world will never leave you be.

I made my little research and I found out that no worldview measures up to christianity. I found out that there have been deliberate attempts to cover up the truth by proclaiming gospels similar to that of christianity, writing books which are similar to Biblical contents, omission and mistranslations of scriptures e.t.c. all in a massive bid to cover up something.

If it was cooked up, then the God of the Bible will appeal to our every desires.

I may not be comfortable about the standards put forth by God, I may not be comfortable about the compatibility of an all loving God and the existence of evil, but it wont do me any good either if I decide to wish Him out of existence. I can only try to find out what is true and what is not.

The fact that you were taught some things as a kid does not make it necessarily wrong. You were taught many other things in school too. I believe that you should do your research and make your findings on which is factual.

Religion is evil and it must be banished for humanity to progress. Yeah!!!, except buddhism, cos its has no superceeding authority.
And man does not really like authority even though he's forced to succumb to it most times.
