This is a bit strange, I've never seen anyone denied after PPR request, did you get your BVL alongside the PPR or what and did you on anyway track your application?

Simti:
Dear nairalanders,
I hope we are all doing well?

Please, I need suggestions on my next point of action as regards my study application.

Here is my story,

I applied for a study permit on the 26th of March 2022 with my two years old daughter. I indicated that my husband and my two older children will be staying behind in Nigeria pending my return. I did an upfront medical before I submitted the application.

In the process, I noticed that my medicals was updated in a pending visitors application I did with my husband in 2020 which till now has not been attended to probably because of the applications had the same name but my daughter's own was updated correctly.

Fast forward to the 12th of september, 2022 I got a medical request from IRCC. I also got another update on the 13th of september I.e the next day of a passport request. I actually thought that my medicals have been seen hence the passport request.

I acted upon sending my upfront medical slip to IRCC through the webform and went ahead to submit my passport to IRCC on the 15th of September 2022.

I did not receive an update from IRCC for almost two months until the 25th of November when I got a refusal correspondence stating two reasons:
1. My stay not being consistent with a temporary stay in Canada
2. My course of study not being in line with career/ previous education.

I was really devastated to say the least. My passport was returned to me unprocessed. I sent a message to them severally about my situation and I got a reply on the 15th of December that the application is still in process. I really do not understand.

I have made steps to request for the CBSA notes which I am yet to receive. My course has started so I am thinking on starting online to enable me hold on to the admission as I cannot defer anymore.
I am thinking for them to have requested my passport, I probably still have a shot with this application so losing the admission may be detrimental to me.

What do you guys think? I really need advice pls. I have not heard back from IRCC and I do know if the application is truly still in process as they said because my status still shows refused.

I really need advice as I am about to make financial commitments for the spring term cos the payment deadline is fast approaching.

If I decide to reapply again, can I change my intended course of study as my first degree was a bachelors in Economics and I was going in for a second degree in bachelors of public health more like an after degree program which runs for two years.

I explained why I was changing careers in my SOP and all.

What really puzzles me is why will IRCC request for my passport and still refuse my application based on my course of study?

I am really confused. Any ideas on what i can do?
Thank you.

Basically the difference is the availability of information. Some of these agents are quite good in this while some are still a novice, so it depends on who your agent is. To me, if you pay enough attention here, ask questions, dedicate time to read previous threads, you will get a solid information regarding the whole study visa application and you can decide to DIY.

Nevertheless, even if you use the service of an agent, ensure that you're actively involved in it as well because some of them sef no sabi. Na just hustle to dem. So don't be left in the dark or just leave everything in the hands of the agent.

Thanks so much for this, I really appreciate. I thought those agents always have a specific way of making the application look so sweet. I'll tell the fellow to try DIY

Hi guys, someone asked me for the difference between using an Agent and doing it yourself, who knows the difference between both? He wants to use Maple consult but it's way to expensive for him, do these agents add any special flavour to the application or what exactly is the difference?

Mine hasn't come ooh.. so another wahala still dey looool.... should i send a webform or just chill? can i enter canada without the introduction letter.

I don't think you can enter Cana without Introduction letter. Every step in this Cana study is from one headache to another. Only the strong can go for Canada because they'll test your patience alot. You can wait till Monday.

I had learnt from here that it is sent to ones portal. So we kept checking her portal as well, so we just saw it as a correspondence letter after the PPR yesterday evening.

Have you tried to track your passport?

You know say these onyibo people no dey joke with their deadline. Since they have given them till 12th. I dey fear Incase she gets there after 12th let her not be stranded. And they fit no allow am to start classes.
As one of the school's administrator/representative has told her to leave it and come September, but we kept pushing that she is coming this Winter.

I dont think they"re difficult at all. Try to mail them this night and expect a positive response, but please attach your PPR
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Winnerpoks: 6:11pm On Jan 06, 2023
Hi ma, It should not be a big deal. just mail the school and attach the ppr alongside. She'll resume this month. My sibling was also given time.

NGOZIGLORI:
Please am equally interested in the response to this question. Because we are considering this as the next option for my daughter.
The last day given to be in school is 12th which is next week Thursday
We had to cancel the flight we booked for tomorrow Saturday. Am scared to book another flight as the last day she can leave is Tuesday. The tension and anxiety is just much.
We hàve done everything humanly possible.

Whatever happens we will accept it with good faith.
She will use the period of waiting to learn skills that she can apply over there and use to make extra cash.

Thanks for this information, I'll relay to my siblings. Our blacks are really funny people. Which schools do Nigerians attend because they're almost never anywhere.

johnstan:

Very I must say.
The locals (whites) are really friendly and are ready to answer your questions if you are lost or confused. I rode the bus to school free to and fro for 2 days cos I'm yet to get my bus pass from school (i explained to the driver with cash in my hand tho). The blacks are hostile for no reason.

It's almost as tho I'm in India rather than Canada lol, the Indians are everywhere but occasionally you will meet the real Canadians.
I think I am the only Nigerian in my class but will find out once classes resume.
Come with enough funds for living expenses o, no jokes, I'm now realizing the reason for the emphasis/visa rejections.
Accommodation is mad expensive, and groceries are cheap but before you know it you don spend "ALOT".

Like @aestake said, there is constant light, water, and roads are tarred and wide.
Google map is a must or you loss literally.

Been here for 5 days and all i can say is that it's a beautiful country.

Don't forget to consider their vice, Atiku has no ties to the Yoruba do even if they do tribal he still has no chance compared to Tinubu in the north who has a northern vice. Election is a game if numbers not hypothetical statements.

Fuckyoumod:

the North can you see this?

If Yoruba can be so tribalistic not to vote Atiku our own, why vote Tinubu in the north?

You will be a fool to vote Tinubu in the north and abandon our very own Atiku a northern for any reason.

Have you seen the constant campaign of tinubu I'm gate, one, Iwo road, ring road and so on? So you think Ibadan people are foolish enough to vote Atiku over a Yoruba person? E be like say you don forget as Ibadan people be, Dem go push you til the day of war and leave you to fight the war alone. Tinubu will win Ibadan sir
