Edc2:
Hello everyone do I need to send updated admission letter of deferment via webform to notify ircc after visa was approved .i was supposed to resume first week of December but due to delay in visa I deferred my admission to March 2023 and My school just sent my deferment letter for March intake and I have already submitted my passport for visa printing. Is their any point notifying ircc now . I don’t want them to delay anything or ask for any update again that’s why I want to wait till I get my passport back first before even notifying them if their is any need for that.

Also can anyone suggest cheap health insurance for international study asides axamansard . My school want to hustle me 500cad for 1 year health insurance

Good morning, after 17 weeks of wait for my sister without medical update or anything, she decided to defer to the next batch but my question is that if she defers to the next batch and miraculously she gets her visa next week and she has deferred what can she do? Will she be allowed to Canada with the old admission or she has to inform IRCC after the visa? I'm confused please anyone should help?

Same with my sister, she's even going through a lot. 17th week now nothing nothing, even medical hasn't been updated to passed.

Permit me to vent
Ircc is messing with my mental health. It would have been better if they said their processing time is 15weeks or less! Than stating 9weeks. I don't even know what to say again... school fees paid, my school is resuming in 3 weeks, course registration is ongoing and ending on Tuesday!

Ordered cbsa @6week, returned @8weeks with no news...just medical Passed.

App is over 9weeks now... no eligibility review. Nothing new to give me hope.
My chest is paining me

Education / Re: Requirements For UK Student Visa From Nigeria: The Complete List by Winnerpoks: 11:46pm On Dec 12, 2022
Hi, I'll like to know if it's compulsory I submit my original waec results or I can just submit the printout? And must I also pass maths in WAEC when going for Masters program.

philiancoop:
You may have wondered what exactly is required to get a student visa into the United Kingdom; and whether or not you have the requirements or can get them. One thing is for sure, 1 in every 5 Nigerians wants to relocate to the western world. Two things matter when it comes to relocating on a student visa: first, the financial requirement and the documents/professional/academic requirement.
The process begins with admission and ends in visa processing. The September 2022 intake is still ongoing.
So today, I’m giving you the professional and academic document requirements for getting a student visa. I will follow up with the financial requirements in the next post.

1. First Degree: If you are going to be enrolling in a Masters's program, you must generally have a 2.2 at least in your BSc in a relevant degree for your chosen course. Some courses or universities require a 2.1, especially for health and nursing courses. If you have a first-class, then that's better and you could easily apply for a fully-funded scholarship at some universities. Many people come to me to get scholarships in the UK for them and they have 2.2 with no money and I would wonder if that even happens in Nigeria and I don't know. There are people with 3rd class and HND, these guys can get an extended masters which costs about 3-5k pounds more with 3-6 months more time.

2. A’ Levels or WAEC: To undertake an undergraduate programme, you need A’levels to undergo the normal 3-year BSc or just WAEC plus a one-year foundation course making a 4-year BSc. For Masters degree students, you still may need a credit in WAEC English language to prove your English language proficiency for some universities.

3. Academic Transcript: This is for Masters degree candidates. You need to apply and get it from your university or polytechnic to apply for admission. It shows all the courses you took and your grades. This is used to determine if your undergraduate porgramme qualifies you for the Masters you’re applying for.

4. IELTS/ English proficiency test: this is the test that proves you understand and speak English well. To save our people the time, cost, and stress of IELTS, we let the school know that the undergraduate course was actually fully taught in the English language. They then request an official level from the Nigerian university to confirm this. At other times we use the credit in English language WAEC to prove this. And we get past it. For Undergraduates, you may need to write the IELTS if the school does not accept GCSE (WAEC).

5. SOP: The Statement of purpose is the course and university-specific essay you must provide about yourself and why you want that course in that school and in the UK.I always recommend you have an expert write this for you after you’ve had a discussion with them about yourself and your goals.

6. Academic CV: this is a CV but one that’s built with the course and academic purpose and format in mind. I recommend the europass CV style.

7. Passport: You may or may not need your international passport at the point of application, but you will eventually need one along the way. Get it as soon as possible.

8. Marriage certificate/Birth certificate: If you are going with your wife and children then you should be getting the certificates ready with pictures too. Like wedding pictures.

9. References: It's not everyone requires this, but let me add it here. Many times, the Univerity will email the referees directly to ask for a recommendation.

10. Tuberculosis test result: this is during the visa processing stage.

11. CAS /CAS NUMBER: This comes from the UK school and is just a part of the process

So guys, that’s about it. The September intake is on and applications are already on. The next intake is in January 2023, the year of the elections. Watch out for the next article on finance and budgeting.

Everyone has a right to exercise their franchise, peter obi might work for you while sowore or tinubu might work for others. You don't have to throw insults like a kid. Everyone doesn't have to agree with you.

Thanks much for your response. I'll forward this to her right away.

Thomsyne:

Good morning and sorry for the delay.

Have your sister send mails and webforms to all IRCC addresses she can find and categorically state that her school resumes on the 9th and she has to start making preparations for her travel. However, this is highly dependent on a response from IRCC. In the subject of her email, she should add [URGENT].

The mails are here: https://www.nairaland.com/7255452/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/540#118654979

Wish you all the best. You can also contact an MP within the province - best bet is the one within her city. You can find them here http://ourcommons.ca/members/en/search

PPR Alert!

2nd time applicant.

1st application was denied based on financial assets. I was very disappointed as I thought my profile and financial history was good enough to get PPR.

My guru @Makano advised we order for GCMS and quickly re-fire. So we ordered for the notes, it came back and we gathered that the VO had issues with lump sum on my account statements.

So we quickly adjusted my SOP and provided explanations plus verifiable receipts for the lump sum, and reapplied again.

As God may have it, application was approved.

My Timeline;
Sep 18th - Application submitted (Biometrics was done on the 22nd of April, 2022 so it updated)
Nov 15th- Eligibility Review
Nov 16th- Medical updated to passed (I did upfront medicals on the 21st of April, 2022)
Nov 16th- PPR

I attached below documents

• Letter of Acceptance.
• Academic and Professional certificates.
• Academic Transcript.
• NYSC certificate.
• Birth Certificate
• Police clearance certificate
• Bio-data page of International Passport
• Drivers' license.
• NIN slip.
• Updated CV
• Staff ID Card.
• Letter of Introduction from my employer.
• Promotion letter.
• Pay slip

CLIENT INFORMATION
• Land Documents (Receipts, Sales Contract, Deed of Assignment, Survey plan)
• Particulars for 2 cars.
• Siblings Birth Certificate and Photos
• CAC document for registered company.

PROOF OF MEANS OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT
• SOP (6 pages).
• Statement of account (Individual and Company) above 20m.
• Salary account Statement.
• Documents showing business presence in Nigeria.

Big shout to all the guys doing great work out here and special shout out to @makano for being my guide all through the rainy days. And of course to the hopefuls, y'all will share your own good news on this very thread.

Remain blessed!

Chiziteremary:
Hello dear, please dont feel too bad. My 1st application was refused, 2nd was approved. What i find most annoying with yours is that they kept u for so long. Pls i encourage you to contact either Makano or Frankglobbin. I reapplied again but i ddnt want to take chances so i used one of the agents on this our platform. The guy completely repackaged my application and it was approved.

Please target May 2023. Repackage immediately and refire. I encourage you with the word of God in Romans 8:28 which says 'All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose'. Its all working for your good, you may not be it now but God knows best. I later saw why God didnt want me to go in May 2022.

I was meant to be in Canada May 2022, i had to defer to Jan 2023, i will be traveling next month. Pls dont waste time just reapply.

I totally understand you but I've asked alot of questions regarding lambton without response, only a very few people go to lambton, we'll still share information here though. Cheers

Bobomaigida:

Okay, so the reason why whatsapp groups aren't encouraged is that it restricts the interaction on this forum, if more people are creating private groups it drives engagement from here to those groups, new people joining this platform will not see any information and once new information is not available the platform dies.

The people that were posting their numbers for groups were wrong to have done that. Like I said, if you need clarification or questions to be answered post it here and even tag some members you feel that will answer your question.

All the best
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Winnerpoks: 4:20pm On Nov 16, 2022
I'm not an agent, but I see people from other schools create WhatsApp groups Soni thought it best to create a group where we can share ideas from our admission to visa application. I don't think it's a big deal as long as I'm not requesting for anything financial.

Bobomaigida:

Winnerpoks why are you requesting for people to contact you on whatsapp, if you have any issue or questions please state it here, and any conderned party will respond, you should not be driving traffic from an open source to a private source.

*Biometrics letter came 8th July
*Biometrics appointment - 14th July
*Medicals updated - 19th July

*Biometrics updated - 22nd August.
Then the long wait
*Eligibility started - Oct 26th after over 13 weeks I applied.
*Bvl dropped - 14th Nov
*PPR - 15th Nov.

My documents:
*School's LOA
*Letter of introduction from my office

*Office ID
*4 months pay slip
*Birth certificate, NIMC slip and passport
*POF - N1.5m
*Pension certificate

*Their work IDs
*Their affidavits and ordinary signed letters of sponsorship
*POF (N10m and N5m)
*Irrevocable power of attorney for the only landed property we have
*Birthday certificate of all my siblings
*Several family pictures.

This application was just God. My first post on thread 21 is attached to show you how nervous and scared I was.
I made up my mind and started the journey in May 2022, got admission 3 weeks into the month and came to Nairaland for visa application advice. I went through several threads before arriving at thread 21 and I was immediately discouraged with the documents I saw people packaging. People had landed properties, business/personal/sponsors accounts with tens/hundreds of millions as turnover and balance, gift deeds here and there, affidavits of different kinds, scholarships etc, so I spent the entire June gathering the documents I could.
I had over 30 supporting documents so shrinking it to 2mb was no child's play. I eventually did and uploaded without checking it. I checked afterwards and realized that half of documents were blurry and unreadable, I almost died lol. I just left everything. I'm not a spiricoco person but I don't doubt the God factor so I prayed the little I could every morning till PPR dropped.
My take away:
Your documents and packaging are important but at the end it's God so don't get carried away with self confidence and don't be discouraged as well, put in your best and leave the rest to God.
I had up to 15 SOP drafts till I couldn't draft any more and used the last one to apply so don't underestimate the power of your SOP and do a good job with it.

How do I submit my passport, please help.
