I am a graduate of Unilag and I was a student of Unilag. As a Governor, Asiwaju performed exceptionally.

In school then, the Igbo boys and girls at Unilag usually run for elections and they win because the Yoruba students usually support the Igbos in a Yoruba dominated University.

Do you know that this "Lagos is a no man's land" narrative by some Igbo people in Lagos is something they have done before in a place called Sapele in Delta state some years ago?

In Sapele, we have Hausa road, Yoruba road, Urhobo road, Okpe road, Itsekiri road, Benin Road and even Esan road but no Igbo road

Alt these roads are named after various tribes in the town

You know why? (He meant why there is no igbo road )

History has it that the road called Okpe Road was originally called Igbo road

It is the main road at the middle of the town though Yoruba road is the longest road in the town, because that road have so many businesses, The Igbo people started calling Sapele a no man's land

This was around the 1940s and 1950s

So during the civil war, the then king of Sapele, Orodje of Okpe then ordered that the name of the road Igbo road must be changed to Okpe road

Today that road is now Okpe road instead of Igbo road because Igbo people were calling the town a no man's land

Also, there is no road in the entire town that bears an Igbo man's name

We have Awolowo road, Akintola road, Adeniyi road

But no single road named after the Igbos because of their attitude of calling the place a no man's land

Most people in Lagos don't know this.

I was born in Sapele and I know the History

When I was discussing the matter with a few friends recently, I mentioned the Sapele case and challenged them to go to the town if they will see any road named after Igbo or any Igbo indovidual

IPOB INFILTRATION OF LAGOS: LET PEACE REIGN

We write to alert the Police and the Lagos State Government about dangerous
Jon developments across Lagos.

We warn that elements whose forebears spurred the Civil war are at it again, this time in a more dangerous, determined and vicious manner.

We are compelled to inform the police and the LASG about the presence of IPOB SPECIAL SQUARD IN LAGOS led by one Nnamdi Okereke, a retired Soldier.

We are in custody of information that this group has in the past two months brough dangerous weapons to Lagos hidden ij several market places in pursuance of the Biafra Agenda.

The SQUARD has the mandate to attack Igbo markets and burn them. The strategy is to invoke sympathy for Igbo ahead of the election

The mandate is to cause enough crisis and disaffection among Yoruba and Igbo with the hope that many Yoruba and Igbo will sympathise and vote for Labour Party which they seem to be supporting.

The IPOB SPECIAL SQUARD are about 97 well trained men made up of some retired Igbo soldiers, civilians and retired police ratings who belong to the IPOB Western Command with its headquarters in Asaba.

They also have designed to kill fellow unsuspecting Igbo ahead of the election in order to seek sympathy and portray the Igbo as being attacked by Yoruba.

15 major markets have been marked for attacks. They will also attack Yoruba markets leaving the impression that Igbos are fighting back to spur Yoruba into counter attacks.

This is a plan to cause national crisis and scuttle the outcome of the last Presidential election while preventing or scuttling the Governorship election come Saturday.

We have sought audience with the Lagos State Governor on two occasions without success hence our decision to make this public.

We would have approached the police but we are not sure of who may be working as agents for IPOB.

The grand design is to turn Lagos into turmoil and spur violence across Nigeria.

This they assume will further the cause of Biafra agitation their canddiate having lost the Presidential election.

We call on the Police, the Lagos State Government to live up to its responsibility by nipping this problem in the bud.

We are Delta Igbo. Some of us have priviledge to attend some of the Igbo meetings. We do not belong to the mainstream Igbo. We are infact Western Igbo and part of the old Western Region
Unfortunately, when there is any crisis, we are a major target since we are grouped together.

Lagos is NOT no-man's land. It belongs to the Yoruba. Other than winning the Presidency, the most important thing for the Yoruba to do today is to ensure that Babajide Sanwo-Olu is re-elected as Governor of Lagos state.

Lagos is for Lagosians and Lagosians are YORUBA!

We welcome visitors and strangers with love, kindness and open arms because that is our nature but we will never let them rule over us in our fathers land, take our land and territory and deprive us of our patrimony, heritage and ancestry.

Anything short of this would be an abomination and would attract the wrath and curse of God.

We know who we are and we know what is ours. Nothing and nobody will take that from us.

It is time to reclaim Lagos and the first step to doing that is to vote for Jide in the Governorship election on Saturday.

I call on all sons and daughters of the West and all true friends of Lagos and the West to come out and vote for Jide and the APC on that day.

Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos State has begged Igbos in the state to vote for the All Progressives Congress(APC).


Igbokwe urged Igbo communities in Lagos to repay the hospitality extended to them in Lagos State by voting for APC on Saturday.

Stressing that Saturday’s election provides an opportunity for Igbo to cement their relationship with Yoruba, Igbokwe said, “please vote for APC all the way.”
