Isaiah 5: 21 says Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! However if you truly desire to know the truth, ask God in prayers, and i'm telling you that situations will unfold that will make you see the truth as it is. |
@SUNGOD You wallow in your intelectual ability. Life is not all about big grammar and intellectual exercise. How revealing it will be on the day we die. If indeed heaven and hell are real we shall know. If indeed there is a God(i believe) we shall know. My advice: Let us all strive to life right. How will it feel to die and find out all these things are true? And you did every contrary thing. If it turns out all these things are a lie and I did my best to live right I have lost nothing. But, I have lost all if I do wrong all through life and find out there is a God to judge and a heaven and hell. @Sky Blue Thank you my brother. I do not understand why our people like to defend wrong things even they know the wrong in them. bibiking1:Help ask him o!. In my own opinion again, I believe no nonNigerian can solve our problems for us. We do not need to copy laws from other countries. We are know that most Nigerians will never do the right thing unless someone stands behind them with a koboko. So laws specific to Nigeria should be enacted to save this nation. Have you notice that even when ou travel to other states the first people to begin driving on the other side of the road most times are Lagos divers? All the people I have discussed this matter with are in full support of the development. Recently, the landlord s association on my street decided to ask all the people (90% of them do not even live on the street) trading along the road on my street to leave. They have so narrowed the street that there is always log jams in the mornings. The next thing is that people are complaining that "we" want to stop them from living. Is that the issue? The issue is you are blocking free flow of traffic and the setback have been reclaimed by the gulty landlords. They trade and make money, they do not pay tax and will not go a hire a shop. Only God will deliver this nation O! |
Easy. After payment go to ABC and ship it to her. Next day delivery. She goes to ABC office in Abuja to collect it. ![]() |
Reading though what everyone has said, I think some have made very good sense of this discussion while others in their usual character are just being critical and sentimental because they may be guilty of the offences. I dare say here that spending hours in traffic MUST NOT translate into jumping on the other side of the road and creating 4 lanes caring less about those legally meant to be on that side. A lot of private car owners in Lagos have had the privilege of traveling abroad and even driving there. CAN THEY DARE THAT SORT OF DRIVING THERE? If you know you do not earn the kind of money that has been placed as fines, you BEHAVE yourself on the road. I know I can never fall to the temptation of driving against the traffic. Nigerians LOVE to do it. If you dare correct them they tell you the story of your life. As for the fine extending to the passengers, I also agree 100%. Why? Most of the commercial drivers are encouraged by passengers in a "hurry" to drive on the wrong side. Even passengers in a private vehicle will not question the driver of the vehicle when he does such. Some "big" men sit at the back of their card pretending to be reading while their drivers break laws. It is when the wahala comes that they come down and speak rubbish English when it would only have taken them to just instruct them not to do so. Even if it is not so in other countries we can start it here. They say necessity is the mother of invention. I swore never to drive in a particular friends car. Simply because his wife works with the army (civilian) he hs become a "soldier" himself. We were in traffic in Gbagada one afternoon and the next thing he makes a u turn on the expressway and heads towards the bridge and drives against traffic. I WAS ASHAMED. I had to ask him to drop me and left him to go to our destination alone. Me thinks, we all need to be PERSONALLY DISCIPLINED. The level of decency and appropriateness in Nigerians is very low. We are all ogas. I believe this will work. Remember what people said about BRT. If they could figure out how to effectively monitor BRT and make it work, I KNOW and BELIEVE this won't be an issue for them also. Even now only heady people d are drive on the BRT lane. Others no want wahala of N25,000. |

"Square Watermelon"? , yes read correctly Square Watermelon. The following was sent to me earlier to day by my elder brother and I thought it would be nice to share it with everyone in this forum Genesis 11:6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. A Japanese grocery stores had a problem. They are much smaller than their US counterparts and therefore don't have room to waste. Watermelons, big and round, wasted a lot of space. Most people would simply tell the grocery stores that watermelons grow round and there is nothing that can be done about it. That is how I would assume the vast majority of people would respond. But some Japanese farmers took a different approach. If the supermarkets wanted a square watermelon, they asked themselves, "How can we provide one?" It wasn't long before they invented the square watermelon. The solution to the problem of round watermelons wasn't nearly as difficult to solve for those who didn't assume the problem was impossible to begin with and simply asked how it could be done. It turns out that all you need to do is place them into a square box when they are growing and the watermelon will take on the shape of the box. This made the grocery stores happy and had the added benefit that it was much easier and cost effective to ship the watermelons. Consumers also loved them because they took less space in their refrigerators which are much smaller than those in the US meaning that the growers could charge a premium price for them. What does this have do with anything besides square watermelons? There are a few lessons that can you can take away from this story which help you in all parts of your life. Here are a few of them: Don't Assume: The major problem was that most people had always seen round watermelons so they automatically assumed that square watermelons were impossible before even thinking about the question. Things that you have been doing a certain way your entire life have taken on the aura of the round watermelon and you likely don't even take the time to consider if there is another way to do it. Be creative: When faced with a problem, be creative in looking for a solution. This often requires thinking outside the box. Most people who viewed this question likely thought they were being asked how they could genetically alter water melons to grow square which would be a much more difficult process to accomplish. By looking at the question from an alternative perspective, however, the solution was quite simple. Look for a better way: The square watermelon question was simply seeking a better and more convenient way to do something. The stores had flagged a problem they were having and asked if a solution was possible. It's impossible to find a better way if you are never asking the question in the first place. Impossibilities often aren't: If you begin with the notion that something is impossible, then it obviously will be for you. If, on the other hand, you decide to see if something is possible or not, you will find out through trial and error. I invite you (if you are based in Lagos, Nigeria) to our upcoming seminar. THIS IS A BIG ONE! "I was determined to succeed because I had no alternative and the borrowed money must be repaid. I began to arm myself with the information required for success. The Bible says "my people perish for lack of knowledge", After just 8 weeks of dogged marketing (refusals and acceptances) I earned my first $6,000 , and by December 2007, I had made well over $27,000.00 on the internet , " ", Anyone, just like I have can succeed. There is nothing so special about people who succeed, " Because of our resolve in winnteam to share success secrets with all, we are presenting a one day "NOT TO BE MISSED" seminar where you will be privileged to meet this Nigerian and listen as he reveals the secrets he employed in his journey to success. Please visit www.winnteam.net for full details. While you are at it please help in spreading the word. We trust you will avail yourself of this seminar. |
No disrespect meant. But can we keep the gist about the car on. I am not Igbo. I am a Nigerian. These things keep perpetually behind. Ibeg una. |
WOW! A NIGERIAN CAR!! This will be a fulfillment of a life long dream for me. Ever since I was a child I have wondered why we do not have Nigerian made vehicles. During on of my Dad's visits to India in the 80's he returned with wonderful shoes, clothes, perfumes and all sorts proudly made in India then. Recently we read that TATA had bought over British owned ROVER. This feat was achieved through years of "falling and getting up". @All those who have written NEGATIVE THINGS about this development, I say well done foryour BAD BELE AND HAVING NOTHING GOOD TO EVER SAY OF SEE IN NIGERIA. Rome was not built in a day. Since government has not done their bit, private individuals are doing something and some imbesiles are still complaining. WHAT HAVE THEY CONTRIBUTED TO THI COUNTRY ON THEIR OWN? APART FROM MAYBE CORRUPT AND IMMORAL TENDENCIES. I cannot wait to ride in the vehicles. LONG LIVE NIGERIA!!!!!!! ![]() |
NAIGA WOMEN OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! MAKE UNA ALL GO MARRY THE MAN NOW. BI? This is not the only way to show love is it? There are a thousand and one other ways men have been showing love to the spouses. Moreover we do not have situations like that in these parts. Wetin the oyibo woman go find for that kin place sef? |
Who the hell does this character think he is? These sort of people should be put in jail. They say democracy is beautiful because of deviants like this. Would he have dared to utter a word during military rule? Sometimes I wish we were still in that era. BIG BOYS MY FOOT! STOLEN MONEY!! NONSENCE!!!!!!! ![]() |
You guys are talking as if you are not all Nigerians. I worship in CanaanLand Otta. For as far back as I can rememer, Bishop Oyedepo has preached about and appealed to members to exercise good behavior on the roads. The various churches have secured the services of FRSC, they even have traffic departments to which they have deployed a lot of members and even resorces. But, The same church members and other road users will not do the needful. Everybody is in a hurry. Like I said in my last post there is more than enough space to park inside RCCG camp. Road have been provided inside to cut off a long stretch of the express. Then again we also have to look at the other road users also. I remember leaving Ibadan on a Saturday evening by 6pm with the hope of getting to Lagos by 7.30 at most. I go to Lagos at 3.00 am on Sunday morning. What happened? THERE WAS NO PROGRAMME IN ANY OF THE CHURCHES ALONG THE EXPRESS. NOT EVEN NASFAT. People just drove the wy they liked and the whole place became a mess. Let us not heap all the blame on the religious bodies. Again I ask. HOW DO WE BEHAVE ON THE ROADS? |
I hope this law also cover vehicles abandoned by their owners on our streets. Some of them have narrowed the streets to a single lane. Imagine a street of about 4 lanes being narrowed to 1 because people have parked 3 vehicles deep. There is so much selfishness. About "owambe's", some 2 years ago some NURTW guy on my street blocked the street to bury his mother. He stays about 5 houses away from mine and they extended the canopies to my gate. So I confronted him that I wanted passage in front of my house. His answer? "shebi I do pay for kansu" Lagos Na wah! |
@dayokanu What is wrong with you people? When will you leave religion alone. Do these organisations have their programmes on the expressway? RCCG and MFM in particular have their auditoriums far away from the road. Why do we like shifting blames? I remember very well as student in the 80's when the RCCG auditorium was by the road traffic was good on these roads. Will the Pastors and Imams stand by the road with whips to make sure the members park well? For your information there is ample parking space at the RCCG camp for all to park their vehicles. I am sure the others too have this. Nigerians (You and I) are very heady people. They always want to do what they want. Look at what happens at junctions. WE ALL NEED TO BE DISCIPLINED! |
No one else but James Onanefe Ibori coniving with wings aviation. Once a criminal always a criminal. See the kind of people that are allowed to rule a nation where intelects abound? IT IS INDEED VERY SAD FOR NIGERIA. I can bet you nothing will come out of this like every other incident. |
@poster IT IS BETTER YOU CRY NOW THAN TO CRY AFTER THE CHILDREN COME O. It won't be easy then. |
@kemofash20 well said. I wonder what she wanted Iyabo to do. If she had given her money, she would have been saying today that Iyabo put her in trouble. In Africa the problem is "if you do people will talk. If you do not they will talk." So what do you do? I truly sympathize with her though. |
Hey, what kind of story is this? If this is true, why would you want to sell it on ebook? why dont you complete the installation? answer me. |
