They if you do not stand for something you will fall for anything. huh

Short cut will cut you shot.

You need a renewal of your mind. The future of the country is bleak because we have too many people with this mind set in our midst. I wonder the type of "lie" you had to tell get to the UK.

@homebase
If you really believe in God follow him.
Who says you cannot make it in your present business? I read a book recently that changed my life completely. It is totally free. www.scienceofgettingrich.net you can share it with those friends of yours asking you to change your age. grin
TravelThis Is Unfair by winnteam(op): 11:58am On Apr 18, 2008
@Siena and Seun

With all due respect to you guys I am disappointed at the way things are going here.

I did a post a few days ago advertising the availability of Travel vouchers I earned from a network marketing programme. That post was deleted almost immediately.

But what do I see today? Someone advertising a travel programme which someone has already replied to. THIS, AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED IS VERY UNFAIR.

Please o, if you guys do not want people to come to your forum again let us know.
TravelRe: Warning: Don't Send Your Pregnant Wife To Uk by winnteam(m): 9:02pm On Apr 13, 2008
Hi all,

I do not agree that the main reason most people go abroad to give birth is for citizenship or status symbol.
I speak from experience.

I got married in 2000 and never had plans to have my children outside Nigeria (i never imagined it). But, 20 weeks after my wife got pregnant we lost the baby. This happened 3 times and non of the doctors could give any eason even after series of tests.

In one of the hospitals in Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria, the doctor himself advised us to go abroad which I of course did not listen to. We eventually had a baby that died after 4 days while still in the hospital. This was the lowest period of my life.

My wife was eventually able to get over the trauma of the loss and we started attending a clinic owned by one of the professors in LUTH and also another private hospital. By this time I had made up my mind we were not going to take chances, my wife traveled abroad with her case note from LUTH.

On getting there, it was discovered that all the tests performed in LUTH were wrong and she had to be admitted into hospital 10 days before her EDD.

To cut a long story short, we had the baby, the baby had the same challenge the one that died had but, because of greater care and better value for life my baby was diagnosed and treated promprtly. But, in Nigeria th one that died was in the incubator for the 4 days she lived and the owners of the hospital would switch off the power generating set in the night to conserve fuel a the expense of human life.

They gave us a death certificate claiming cause of death to be sepsis. But, we were told what the issue was in the UK.

We were given a bill of over N400,000.00 for a dead child. We were reAdy to pay our bill in the Uk and we PAID.

If you guys found yourselves in such a situation what would you do? A lot of Nigerians have had this experience.

Mark you I LOVE NIGERIA but my joy was at stake here.

PoliticsRe: Haba (!), Deji Of Akure? by winnteam(m): 6:02pm On Apr 13, 2008
Talking about the Oba of benin, my uncle had a nasty experience with him a couple of years back.

He bought a parcel of land in GRA which he left for a few years to enable him gather enough money to build. Lo and behold a bini man took the land over and started developing the property.

The matter was brought before he oba. They discovered from investigations that my uncle was the rightful owner of the said land. The oba rebuked my uncle saying how can a non native be engaged in land tussle with a native. He (oba) judged in favour of the bini man and my uncle lost the land. cry embarassed sad shocked

I hate all of them. They are feeding fat on the people just like their political counterparts.

I think what people who do it are saying is "they are ready to do so and even more if they have to" and moreover, if the vacuum is not ready at hand what do you do?

That's the way it is. You do not begin the day by saying I am going to suck mucus from my baby's nose today.

@Germannig
My dear, Topsido not sharing your views about OBJ should not make you call him names.

Let ask you a frank question.
, would you have fared better than OBJ if you had the opportunity to rule this country?

Even with all that is being said about OBJ, he still has a place a place in history here in Nigeria. No one can do anything about that.

I personally do not see anything embarrassing in what happened. Everyone makes mistakes which ever way.

That will tell you how they made their money also. And why they give chieftaincy titles to the highest bidder.

Man must survive now.

You cannot compare these guys to Larry King at aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal!

Larry King show is a serious minded one o. These guys are OLD men and they actually irritate a lot of Nigerians.
Agreed they have contributed to the industry in Nigeria but do they have to be the presenters. I think it's just theis Nigerian thing of "I own this". They can work from behind the scene. I am sure there are younger people that will do FAR better than Kenny and D1.

FamilyRe: Are Presents Dads And Moms Of Today Better Than Their Fathers And Mothers by winnteam(m): 10:51pm On Apr 03, 2008
Personally speaking, most of todays parents have lost it in every way.
1. How can you explain how a parent who beats up a teacher for punishing his child?
2. Why won't a parent discipline a child at home when they fall out of line?
3. Why would a parent tolerate what his parents did not when he was a child?
4. What values are present day parents instilling in their children?
5. Why would parents not allow their children do basic house work?
6. Why would a young mother of these days not educate their daughters on decent ways of dressing?
7. Why would parents allow their underaged children have relationships?

I can go on and on.

Should enlightenment degarde us morally?

Let us search our hearts and begin to do the right thing.

Why are you guys all pretending? huh

I sincerely do not think there is any grown up who had a granny when growing up did not experience it.

I remember my granny doing it to my younger cousines and in recent times my wife and my mother-inlaw doing it to my lovely daughter.

I remember the days she would practically need help breathing. Whta would you do if your child had such a challenge?

Morever those suction bulbs do not work. We had loads of them then.

Let's be real!

No body wants to pay the price.

How many of these people making noise about corruption
can walk up to their corrupt relatives and tell it to their faces.

If you cannot stand up and speak against something, it is better you do not
criticize. Allow those who are to speaking and doing something about it continue.

Sacrifice is what is needed. Saying no even when it will hurt.

Sweet T:
@Vicade

No place is Eldorado. And no one is saying Nigeria is not great but the leaders and some citizens of Nigeria are far from great. There are some countries in Europe that can not even boast of half of Nigerian resources and yet they prosper. Americans are very greedy and that's why they fall trap of these 419 letters but how many letters have you received from an American claiming to be the Governor of the central bank of USA? Nothing like that exists because they know that their is a heavy price to be paid for such acts. And when Americans do fraud, they invest the fraud in their own land. Not take it to a bank in Africa. Nigeria keep abusing one opportunity after the other because of bad management and horrible leadership. NIGERIA WILL EVENTUALLY GET TO THE PROMISE LAND AND BE A GREAT NATION BUT NOT IN THIS GENERATION. THIS GENERATION IS WASTED AND TOO STUBBORN.
I hope you know you belong to this generation too.
Where is the origin of 90% of the SPAM mails?
You seem to be defending these oyibo people you know.
Are you saying we have not made progress in fighting 419?

In my own small way, I FLY THE NIGERIAN FLAG in my car.
The flags do not cost much. Just N200.

Let every Nigerian fly it with pride. This is the only country you can lay claims to.
The HOME where you cannot face deportation.

You guys that ran away to oyibo land. Well done o.
It is not as if we cannot do the same. Truth be told, if we ran away like you. Would you have a place to return to?
"Visiting soon" ss not enough. Return home!! And stop asking if YOUR COUNTRY IS WORTH DYING FOR. Do you really think those people love you?

No They Don't!!

I AM INDEED VERY PROUD TO BE A NIGERIAN. grin
