l have a B.Sc in chemistry and l am looking at going for masters degree in Environmental science.l was hoping to see it under CSU.l am seeing it under CIU but the tuition fee hmmm is kind of on the high side.

Please dont mind my asking whats is really the difference between with thesis and without thesis,l mean does it have any implication on job prospects and career advancement.l ask because over here it is just master degree program with thesis.

CSU: The fee is quite cheap at CSU which is 2175USD for entire master program. We have applied for more programs at master level to be opened, but we are awaiting for approval from accreditation board before the programs can be opened.

Thesis: This will involve research, enhances the student research capabilities and the research output in most cases may lead to academic publication in reputable journals. In summary, it requires candidates to research (field or lab) and write an original thesis on a topic relevant to their field of study. For those, planing to go for a PhD program, a thesis- or research-based master is mostly required or acceptable in most universities.

Non-thesis: Based on project, the project is a lighter version of research. It requires candidates to design and conduct a small research project, critically evaluate the results, and produce a professionally written report. Most universities, may not admit project-based for a PhD program.

does it have any implication on job prospects and career advancement

For career advancement: It depends on the field. For science- or social science based, the research aspect may help the students in research related job. For programs mostly in Arts, some science courses like Maths, physiotherapy etc and some like management would not have effect since these courses required practical experience rather than just specific research experience.

I got acceptance into eastern Mediterranean University( EMU), northern Cyprus this year, for September 2018 academic session and had to defer it to spring( February 2019) academic session. The institution instructed i reapply for the deferment on January 2019. But the school academic calender says registration for fall( February 2019) academic session starts on December this year, how can that be reconcile with they school instruction to send again my deferment letter to fall academic session( February 2019) on January 2019?

The university REGISTRATION date applies majorly to old students. It simply means any old students that has money can pay from December 2018 but can only register for courses from Feb 2019. The new students can register during registeration period or as soon as they arrive university.


If you wish to resume in Feb 2019, ask for a new admission letter from November 2018. A new offer letter for spring 2019 will be issued to you, make your payment in 2018 so the university can send your name to embassy early since the Turkish embassy is currently being managed by satanic staffs. You can apply for visa from early January 2019, resume for Spring semester as early as Feb!

Your message is highly contradictory. Sounds like you are trying to promote the website of selling Essays. You said big research, there is nothing like big or small research. There is no connection between you buying an essay and a research. An essay is different from a research.

Research: is a creative and systematic work undertaken to increase the stock of knowledge, to provide solutions or establish facts and reach new conclusions and sustainable answers to challenges.

Yes, its the biggest crime a person would commit in an academic environment. In a practical sense, its called misrepresentation and this attitude are very common with unserious, irresponsible and ill-prepared persons.

Consider this: IF a student submits purchased essays and articles as their own. In such a case the external help is rightfully considered cheating/robbery/fraud/crime/assault/rape because a learner uses someone’s work with no input or effort of their own. If, on the other hand, a student does their best to understand how an essay is written, extract some tips, and use it as guidance to write their own piece, then the practice becomes educational.

Tips: Spend time and be focussed on your academic pursuit. Find supporting friends, get access to many free resources online to guide you! Best wishes

Greetings Mr wip, I have an issue. I'm applying for a medical visa American Hospital Istanbul. One of the visa requirements is a letter of invitation from the health institute. I've been in contact with the hospital and they said it is against hospital policy to provide such document. Although they sent an Email to me, recommending my case for consultation. Can i present that mail to the embassy as letter of invitation?

If the hospital is ready to collect your money then they should be ready to provide you invitation letter. Medical visa usually will require IV from
the concerned hospital or detailed supporting files/docs/conversations to warrant issuance of the visa.

You may contact another hospital or if not provide the conversation to support your application.

How to Determine Sample Size

Before you can calculate a sample size, you need to determine some parameters as described below:

1. Population Size — How many total people fit your demographic? For instance, if you want to know about mothers living in the US, your population size would be the total number of mothers living in the US. Not all populations sizes need to be this large. Even if your population size is small, just know who fits into your demographics. Don’t worry if you are unsure about this exact number. It is common for the population to be unknown or approximated between two educated guesses.

2. Margin of Error (Confidence Interval) — No sample will be perfect, so you must decide how much error to allow. The confidence interval determines how much higher or lower than the population mean you are willing to let your sample mean fall. If you’ve ever seen a political poll on the news, you’ve seen a confidence interval. For example, it will look something like this: “68% of voters said yes to Proposition Z, with a margin of error of +/- 5%.”

3. Confidence Level — How confident do you want to be that the actual mean falls within your confidence interval? The most common confidence intervals are 90% confident, 95% confident, and 99% confident.

4. Standard of Deviation — How much variance do you expect in your responses? Since you haven’t actually administered your survey yet, the safe decision is to use 0.5.

Calculating Sample Size
You can use the expression below to estimate your sample size:

Sample Size = (Z-score)2 * StdDev*(1-StdDev) / (margin of error)²

Your confidence level corresponds to a Z-score. This is a constant value needed for this equation. Here are the z-scores for the most common confidence levels:

90% – Z Score = 1.645
95% – Z Score = 1.96
99% – Z Score = 2.576

Here is an example of how the math works assuming you chose a 95% confidence level, 0.5 standard deviation, and a margin of error (confidence interval) of +/- 5%.

You Don't Have To Struggle Alone. There are lots of statistical models used in various fields. First, you need to identify which statistical or analytical experience/skills you want to learn. Then experience people will point you in the direct direction. Online, there are a bunch of free and paid resources that you can get and learn from.

In brief, what do you want to learn, how serious are you, what resources do you have at your disposal and how often will you use your new skills? And what for?

Yes, if you are legal resident of the country you are applying from and the university sends your name to Turkish embassy in the country you wish to apply from.

Oh, unfortunately, I can't help in this case and the police hardly won't help as they likely refer you to a lawyer. But the best bet is to report to Police or the international centre office or rector office of your university.

To apply for scholarships/funded programs: You will need to search online, just type on google. You will need to visit Universities websites, search for advertised positions on Researchgate.com and mendeley.com, some government scholarship like Korean and Turkish Governments scholarships etc.

What are my chances of gaining a scholarship or being funded?

Don’t be fooled, scholarships and funding are highly competitive since there are many students trying to get funding or scholarships for their studies worldwide. Even though some scholarships depend on outstanding academic records such as ‘merit-based scholarships’, your chances of success are often determined by the quality and content of your application. The fastest way to get your scholarship/funding application rejected from the pile is to apply for a scholarship for which you do not qualify. The judge or evaluator for each scholarship has a set of criteria that are used to rate the applicants.

Some specific points that are usually considered (Take note, this is not universally true) for PhD applicants:

A. Quality of CV (academic strength, specific and multidisciplinary skills/experience, results etc)
B. Research strength (type, number and quality of publications)
C. Work Experience (not a must)
D. Community Service (not a must depending on the field)
E. Honours and Awards (Taken into consideration)
F. Leadership and membership (such as a member of important society related to your field of studies/research)
G. Extracurricular Activities
H. Research Proposal (how relevant is the proposal to the university/department or quality of solution its estimated to solve, novelty and significance or statement of purpose.
I. Recommendation/References: Don't underestimate the power of a recommendation. When it comes to recommendations/reference letters, choose wisely, selecting a reputable ref that has a quality CV and established profile online not the professors/teachers that only claim what does not exist but can't be traced or not reputable. Ensure you choose who knows you well and can articulate your case clearly and powerfully.

Start be evaluating yourself truly and honestly if you are shot in any aspect, work to improve on it.

To enter without Muhaceret, means you must be registered while you are resuming (For Spring) and show proof of registration. Then freeze your registration for this new semester.
