tcitachi:The said students some of them are on Nairaland as well and their agents. They never had printout as embassy asked all to come and were attended to. Have couples of students at embassy today also without printouts and they will be attended to. CIU is headache. However, send me your UAL to my email am trying to follow my 4 students that just paid yesterday and they are heading to embassy also for today interview. They likely gonna get their by noon. Am waiting for their UAL FROM CIU today so wanna follow up. |
tcitachi:The people they attended to on 22nd and today are those mostly without appointments or printouts. This is General for any students that had secured admission. However, would be difficult to attend to those they had attended to before. Meanwhile, two applicants also here on Nairaland were attended to around July Ending, they returned their documents to them that name not on the list, but were attended to on 22nd and asked them to come on Next Tuesday for their passports. 18 of the people I recently got admission for even some just paid 3 days ago without appointments were attended to. 12 among the 18 students were asked to pick their passports on 29th. While the rest 6 were told they would call them after communicating with the university. May I know the school you applied to? If is EMU, kindly imbo me your full name and confirmation of payment number. Am preparing a list to follow up with the embassy in TRNC before Or on FRIDAY. |
Eraytee:Finally, with so much stress, spendings, and fight....I told you I will do it. It's done so you have to buy me a car and small house. Check your email! |
eben1991:Definitely, you can't meet up EMU admission for this semester. So you can apply for next entry which I believe your passport should be ready by then. EMU does indicate applicant passport number on the admission letter and that same number is sent to the embassy for a visa. The fees of all University are mostly written on the website of the university, just check under fees, briefly, it cost around 6500 USD to complete a master for now at EMU which is inclusive of 50% scholarship. I can't say which is better between on- and off-campus dormitories. The only thing is in off-campus you may find friends or enemies to share a room with and reduce the cost of the room and bills, but on-campus does not allow sharing beyond regulated capacity. Also, you can find the fee for accommodation on the website. Just visit EMU website! If there are other things you can't find kindly spell it out.! Best wishes! |
Eraytee:Thanks boss..we just gonna say it to avoid stories that touches the kidney ![]() |
Applicants should be aware of Exorbitant and Flaming lies of Recruitment agents University approved recruitment agents are those approved by the university to recruit students for the said university. This is basically contract-based agreement and designed to make application, counseling and guiding the applicant's lot easier. However, the agents have turned to YAHOO YAHOO business by excessively milking the applicants to their bone marrows. Some of these agents tend to lure the applicants by providing false information to the applicants such as distorting the tuition fees, recruitment conditions etc. I have received so many messages on how the agents have manufactured figures just to deceive unaware applicants. It's really sad cos if the applicants can pay the service charge levied by the agent...then there is no need to deceive the applicant again. Below is the message sent from an agent to one of the recent victims also from Nairaland: "Currently, The school offers 50% scholarships Hence tuition for undergraduate is 3100€ and For masters it's 2326€ and they accept installment too. The good news is that the school also accept installment payment, therefore, for admission one need a total of 2300€ which includes application, tuition part payment, embassy documentation and visa, also our service charge. The break down of the 2300€ goes thus: Application fee 50€,embassy documentation 500€, tuition deposit 1000€, visa fee 250€ then our service charge is 500€ only paid after visa is issued.". From the message above, the agent either purposely lied to the victim regarding the Master program tuition fee in CIU or lacks knowledge of the master program fee (too bad). 1. At CIUcurrently: per graduate course is 350 € and without deficiency courses, students are expected to undertake 7 courses plus a thesis (1050 €). The registration, insurance, and other fees is 295 €. Total master program fee in CIU is 350x7 +1050 +295 + VAT= 3795 €+ VAT 2. Visa fee currently at Turkish Embassy Abuja is 250 USD, not 250 €. 3. CIU does not charge application fee 4. Embassy documentation of 500€ is deadly. Nothing like embassy documentation since applicants would be providing the required documents at the embassy unless the documents the agent would provide would be fabricated. 5. A service charge of 500 € in this economic recession is enormous as per exchange rate. Am just here to alert the applicants to also do more research before falling fully into a coma. This victim already paid most of these charges and this thread just opened the eyes. I got a message just this morning from a lady of 37 years, She said the agent promised to get her undergraduate admission in TRNC provided she pays the required fees. The legal age limit for undergraduate in TRNC is 25 years...which means this agent will forge or distort the applicant age. Unfortunately, the said applicant sounds very interested and care-less about beign rejected visa, or the nemesis after some years. |
Eraytee:It's kind of war..just very slow and I don't care attitude...they asked me to come again ..hoping to get some phd offers soon. |
Mazicash:Unfortunately EMU won't admit you based on the CGPA. CIU Will admit you 100% but the CIU admission processing is Managed by ghosts that you will need to fight with Heculean sword before the admission can be processed. |
CIU admission for master students, EMU Ph.D. and METU master applicants. After rough and long negotiations with the CIU, got additional 10 admission letters from them today..so slow . EMU so fast and METU extremely fast. Please, I have sent admission letters to your email addresses. Any applicants I secured admission for can send me telex so I can fast track the release of the UAL or confirmation letters. |
Mazicash:What is your CGPA and do you have cash ready? if yes then you can get admitted. |
Deo8i:Kindly go to the embassy on the said dates. As I mentioned in my earlier posts, embassy doesn't wait for list directly from the university. List of students comes from the embassy in TRNC via EMBASSY in Turkey. During those dates, the embassy will directly verify students from the recently opened channel with the uni to fast track the visa specifically for TRNC prospective students. |
TURKISH EMBASSY ABUJA ANNOUNCEMENT Dear applicants, We have received the following message from the Turkish Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria. “Since our automated system is assigning visa interview appointments after the beginning of the academic year, in order to assist the timely visa processing we will conduct visa interviews without appointments on 22 August Tuesday and 24 August Thursday. Those candidates who have received admissions from the universities in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus should be informed to go to the embassy on these dates. The interviews will be without appointment and candidates we will use "first come first served" principle. Turkish Embassy in Abuja” |
SEUNOKIKI:Hello, The university is located Paphos in South Cyprus. 1. Application procedure and form is located on the university website. 2. You can request more information from the university via the link provided "to request more information" regarding accommodation and travel. 3. Jobs are scarce, students are advised to have full year fees and accommodation. You may however find casual jobs while studying. |
marksmart22:My email can be found in the signature of each Message I write here |
meetgaby:Have Full year tuition fee ready in your account and accommodation. Visit the university websites to learn more regarding documents for admission, school status and others. |
marksmart22:If the agent tell you embassy and school will issue visa same time including all that had applied in the past. I can boldly tell you is WHITE LIES. Let me briefly inform you; University here dont talk or relate directly with embassy Abuja. University here communicate students details to embassy in TRNC, the embassy in TRNC communicate with Turkey and Turkey mission communicate with ABUJA. I have worked in this system, so I hate when novice agents lie to applicants. At first I was against it.. Cant imagine me starting BSc. all over again even though it gonna be a different course ..and moreover I would love to work(no matter how small the pay is).. I have been trying to catch up with thread for a while.. U guys gave really gone far..Yes, is possible for you to immediately switch to the master program during registration provided you have the complete transcript and other requested documents for grad admission. Cus by the grace of God.. My transcripts will soon be ready soon.. But he doesn't wanna take chances Cus he wants me to at least get my visa first week of Oct so that I can join the school for the new session..So should he go ahead and register it like that.. And I pay the 1000euros for my part payment of tuition? Pls any body can contribute to this..You can register for undergrad if you are less than 25 years and have the transcript to convert you to master program asap. If not you will be highly bleeped up. Ensure you have full year fees, accommodation and living expenses with you. Jobs are scarce and wages are low especially casual jobs. Best wishes! |
Aperion7:The calendar are always written one semester before the next one. So university here mostly stick to the calendar, so I doubt the changes and even it happened can't be more than a week cos changes would upset the system. |
Paulweasley:Kindly pay what is written on the offer letter. |
Aperion7:The embassy staffs especially the Nigerians working there appear worst in terms of attitude and sense of direction. Cos my younger brother came to Nigeria to sign a document that cost 20USD ONLY since they refused to endorse it without his presence. They were behaving arrogantly until one of them said ..."hey Mr so so...go back until we call you and when he said don't address me as Mr....am a Professor so so, and I do this and that"..... That was when they started saying sorry sir and ok sir. In 30 min, we would check your file. So your friend might have to wait for them then...since they can't allow him in without them calling/texting as they claimed. |
tcitachi:I doubt if that embassy will call. The applicant's documents are with the embassy or with the applicants? if with the embassy, they should just go to embassy direct on visa application days. |
masmy:Good day, I did not receive your email. |
Eraytee:Thank you sir. I do appreciate. I am always available to support academically if is requested. One advantage of TRNC is that with good numbers of publication in accepted journals one can easily make some cash, doors get opened etc. With good numbers of papers and research, I was getting very good offers in highly developed nations....still enjoying Cyprus |
Admission letters sent to email It's like fighting a lion to get Instructors to evaluate the graduate application in CIU these days. Please, I have sent 20 offer letters to most that applied through me just now. Just your email. Others am still working on the offers, so keep calm and enjoy! For EMU, applicants I have sent the acceptance letters as well. Note#: The two guys that CSU gave 100% scholarships, pls kindly send the required approval to me asap so I can follow up your name to the embassy. |
oluteebaba:If you don't have PhD or have big investment capital then you can only work as casuals in TRNC for now. You can legally live in TRNC, either u are old above 60 yrs, working majorly in academics, studying or you have investment with good money. Other sectors of TRNC are filled with Cypriot, Turkish or people that speaks fluently the Turkish language. |
Gfeuxay:Thanks boss..I appreciate! |
Aperion7:Tanks u boss..I am currently heading to CIU today to see the CIU rector and vice rector of CIU. The university is too slow with admission. So wana follow up, I worked for 5 yrs with the newly appointed CIU vice rector when he was the vice rector in EMU. |
maestrojay:Tanks boss.. |
Aperion7:Ahhh .. Yes, CIU has the largest environmental Eng in TRNC currently, in fact, I was amazed by the number of facilities they have in this field. Mostly, am being selected as Jury head for PhD students monitoring at the CIU and am continuously participating. Unfortunately, they have weak research members based on my standards. Am always available to provide an academic assistance....not financial assistance oooo biko !I am conversant with almost all research in Environmental so you can always email me for advice and support! Brief Profile of WIP7: 1.Supervised and completed 19 master students project/thesis and currently supervising 8 2. Completed 4 PhD students and currently supervising and co-supervising 9 3. Aperion7:Ahhh, stop making me laugh . Actually, it depends on the quality and sustainability of the project. Most of the universities in Cyprus only reached 4th to 6th stage. While the first is German University, but my students reached the final stage. Also, my two PhD students have just been selected for competition in Japan.." I have led the Two PhD students to design "Waste bone-based Solar-powered sensor for pest control and Auto Irrigation Monitoring System"...if we reached final stage and win, I shall announce that as well.....

taiwo92:Unfortunately, I am not an academic staff of NEU and I don't know the basis they used in selecting their 100% scholarship. However, I have been in charge of African Scholarship of EMU in the past. Then, we have a template designed for scholarship criteria. To get 100% then at EMU, the student will have to graduate with first class, have some verifiable specialized skills, some publications and other academic related documents. And officially, we only give 1-3 100% scholarship per country if the applicant meet mentioned criteria. So I don't know what NEU....but may likely be similar to what I used then at EMU. |
2017 Green Brain of the Year Contest Green brain contest has been established as a unique academic program to serve the most critical needs of our globe in the 21st century. The five finalist teams from both International Concept Project and International Project Competitions will be invited to METU NCC (all expenses paid) to present their project in front of the jury. I designed project for my two students from CSU (Cyprus Science University), this is a two-series project that involves eco-friendly bacteria to eliminate toxic olive wastes and the second part would be wireless sensor development for rapid quantification. I wrote the sensor program using Python under WOLFRAM CDK. Finally, my two students have been selected among 200 participants from various countries including leading universities in Europe, USA and Africa.
