Mitchell mcconnell approve the nominated supreme Court justice by hook or by crook. The Republicans won't miss the opportunity to control the Supreme Court for decades to come. Porto Rico and Washington DC must be given the status of states. These two will certainly be democratic, thereby increasing their senate and house members, apart from increase in electoral collage votes.

Its unbelievable that less that 10 years back, Democrats controlled the executive house and senate and Obama left so many positions in the courts vacant, only for Trump to come in and start filling them with Republicans.

After what Democrats have done in the past four years, they have lost every right to talk about good faith. Didn't they know it was an election year when they rushed to impeach the president? Good faith was thrown out of the window the moment Democrats decided to play dirty from the moment Trump was sworn in.

Impeaching a president has nothing to do with whether it's an election year or an election week. A president is impeached if the house thinks the president had committed an impeachable offence. Trump was impeached for asking Ukraine to help him win the elections and tied it to a quid quo pro. The house did not just make up the allegations from thin air. There was first a whistle blower report submitted to relevant authorities and the house as demanded by law. The house called for witnesses and documents, in which Trump banned all executive officers from testifying or submitting any document. Few officers defied Trump and testified, with damning testimonies. That was how Bill Clinton was also impeached for a Mouth Action.

In the case of supreme Court justice nomination. Mitch McConnell had denied Obama, the rights of nominating a replacement for a vacant supreme Court justice, with the excuse of it being a election year (not minding that the elections were 11 months away). It would have made sense if the nomination was screened and rejected by the Republican led senate, but they even refused to screen. Now, the same mitch mcconnell wants to approve a supreme Court nominee 6 weeks to elections, because according to you guys, the president reserves the rights to nominate supreme Court judges.

As I said, no problems. Just pray that in the history of the US, Democrats never control both the senate and executive.

Now, a sit is vacant just 6 weeks to elections and the Republican dominated senate insists it's the right of the president to nominate a replacement even if it's an election week.

What you guys fail to realise is that democracy survives on good faith by all parties involved. When one party decides to start playing by bad faith and dishonest means, the whole structure starts to crumble. Republicans will not control the executive and the senate forever. The minute the democrats take control of both, they would do 100 worse things than the Republicans are doing now. It might be the next elections or the next after that. The democrats can simply expands the Supreme Court and nominate judges to get the majority. They would ram through some legislations just to get an advantage. I must also mention that it's a very dangerous precedence to politicise judges and the courts.

An average vaccine needs at least 18 months to go through the trial stages before it can be considered for approval, so that idea of bureaucrats does not even come it yet.

One needs an advanced degree in epidemiology or virology to know this but a graduate degree in using Google search can suffice for democrats.

First and foremost, I want to say thanks to the Nairaland Family.

I got a call from a well meaning Nairalander early this morning, who is a lawyer and he offered me his services free of charge. And after much ado we managed to see the dpo and a meeting was set with the late guy's family.

The guy's family members kept threatening to deal with me right in front of the dpo while the meeting was going on. Their beef with me was that I brought the issue to nairaland and my lawyer was forced to tell me to leave. He however promised to come to a resolution on the matter today.

He was true to his word. Around 3pm, I was called back to see the dpo and my babe and her workers were released.

Still they refused to tell us the results of their investigations on the excuses that's it's an ongoing investigation and my babe may still likely be called in for questioning. All they said was that an autopsy was done and it was conclusive that he wasn't poisoned. This autopsy was done since last week, and when we asked them why they refused to release my girlfriend and her workers when they knew she was innocent, they gave us flimsy excuses about ensuring she is really innocent beyond reasonable doubt.

I'm not allowed to say more about this whole saga as I was warned off. But I thank God anyway, she is out. And I thank you all.

I know it's beyond your mental capacity to understand that Trump has no qualification whatsoever to promise any vaccine. Not everyone sees Trump as Omnipotent and omniscient and definitely not everyone subscribe to the religion of Trumpism. He is not a doctor, a virologist or an infectious decease expert. He only as a degree in economics.

An experimental vaccine needs to go through various states of trials and tests before it can be certified safe by various health institutions. Even at that, a massive campaign has to be embarked upon to make people feel safe enough to take it. Just because a religious or cult leader recommend it, does not mean everyone except it's members will believe in the vaccine. Many people are still skeptical of polio vaccines even today after more than 50 years of being used worldwide.

If you believe Trump so much, why not volunteer yourself to be used in the first , second and third phase of the trials. If you survive or did not exhibit adverse sude effects, more Democrats might be encouraged to take it.

The Christian doctrine on marriage and divorce only applied to pre industrial Europe. It did not even apply in Palestine and isreal, the spiritual root of Christianity.
