Sambisa forest alone is bigger than the whole proposed Biafra (Igboland) 5 times. The terrain is manly desert with sparsely distributed villages and towns. The Kanuri led Boko Haram has external and internal sponsors, who provide arms, logistics and finance to sustain the insurgency. The boko haram territory is not landlocked but bordered by three countries, so they can easily hit Nigeria and dissappear into other countries. An igbo Biafran insurgency will not have any of these advantages. They will be isolated territorially, Diplomatically, economically and militarily.
