Crime / Re: Three Killed As Gunmen ‘enforcing Sit-at-home’ Attack Anambra Communities by wisdomguy4u(m): 8:32am On Jun 19
gozmok1:
Last two years people were applauding and cheering these monsters when they were dismantling checkpoints, killing security men and other law enforcement agents. I kept shouting and telling our people, Ndígbo that a time will come when the chickens will come home to roost. When they no longer see police and army to kill, they'll kill us. Now is happening. Police and Army have retired to their barracks. They rarely patrol. That's why all sort of criminals are now on the lose in the South East.

Ndígbo should stop being hypocrites. We are hypocrites. When Army is ready to flush these nihilist people out, our people will start crying fowl saying that the military is killing our children. Whenever the military invade IPOB den, you'll see Ndígbo telling the Army to locate Boko Haram and leave IPOB alone. Are we not hypocrites?

I don't care what anyone would say about me. But you see truth? That's something I can never cover up. In the words of Immanuel Kant, "if the truth hurts them, let them die." I'll keep telling our people, Ndígbo the truth. I'll say the truth even at the point of death.

The zeal at which guys write epistles on matters concerning Southeast is amazing. Thousands of people are massacred in the north every day by bandits and Islamic terrorists, but your kind will just glance at the news and move on. But if two people are k*ll in the east, you write an epistle on it. Is it that one life in the southeast is far more vital than a thousand lives in the north?

Phones / Re: Ever Tracked A Stolen Phone Before? Share Your Experience by wisdomguy4u(m): 1:49pm On May 26
I was once defrauded by someone I did business with and reported the incident to the police, as the person had disappeared. The only information I had was his phone number. The police claimed they could track him using his phone and asked for 100,000 naira to do so. After waiting for several days, they claimed they had located the person and asked for a mobilization fee of 40,000 naira to apprehend him. However, when we arrived at the location provided by the police, the people there denied knowing the suspect. The police then asked for more money to track the person again. I refused, as I doubted their ability to track him based on their questionable actions. It seemed like they were trying to scam me for more money.

The target was LANDMARK THE IGBOMAM'S PROPERTY. That has been achieved through a fellow Igbo man. Dave Umahi is a typical Judas who betrayed his own people for favour.

The way they rushed the demolition was suspicious. So they didn't assess every necessary thing because they commenced demolition

Exactly, even when some reasonable people were asking the right questions, they were being attacked and tagged obidents. It was obvious the project did not follow due process and was shabby to siphon money. But APC erats were attacking anyone who asked the right questions

I can recall that an Arise news journalist once asked Umahi during a press conference if they have an EIA done for the project before it was signed off and she was mocked and tagged as disrespectful by some sycophants.

Politics / FG Halts Lagos-calabar Coastal Road Project Realignment by wisdomguy4u(m): 8:11am On May 24
The federal government has shelved and diverted realignment of Lagos-calabar coastal road projects while also saving the telecommunications infrastructure and submarine cables, among others at the axis.
With the presidential directive, Telcos, MTN submarine cables, and workstations along the Okun-Ajah community axis have been saved from demolition after a thorough assessment of the EIA impact on infrastructure and business activities along the Okun-Ajah community axis.

The minister of Works, David Umahi, while addressing stakeholders meeting in Lagos on Compensation and Environmental Impact Assessment on the coastal road project informed community groups and traditional institutions in the state, particularly the Okun-Ajah community in Lagos.
Earlier, the Okun-Ajah community cried out and warned the federal and Lagos State governments over the alleged illegal variation to the Lagos-calabar coastal highway route which put six villages at the risk of demolition and also the displacement of three traditional kings within the Community if the plan was not shelved.

Umahi buttressed the need to redesign the route to save the 600 years ancestry of Okun-Ajah community, adding that, the president, out of compassion to realise the project, added human phase to save property and infrastructure of Okun-Ajah axis while applauding efforts of the president to divert alignment routes to save the communities from the ongoing demolition exercise stretching along the indigenous communities in the state

The minister said, following the gazetted alignment, and order of the EIA assessment, over 750 houses were expected to be demolished in the old alignment while 450 houses were marked for demolition in the new alignment after thorough assessment of the project along the Okun-Ajah community axis.

Umahi also explained that the project approval followed the process and went through the Bureau of Public Procurement (BBP) after consideration by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) as prescribed by law.
Umahi said the project followed certification process and Environmental Impact Assessment Acts and lent credence to it and followed the processes involved.

Umahi noted that BPP issued a certificate of no objection on the project to the Ministry of Works in line with the Procurement Act but added that the Ministry of Works took the certificate of no objection to FEC and FEC debated and approved it.

Politics / Re: I Cannot Be Tried In Any Nigerian Court - Nnamdi Kanu Blows Hot (Video) by wisdomguy4u(m): 3:25pm On May 20
seuncyrus:
This guy should tone it down on this bragado thingy. As much as i wanted to feel his pain, I actually went to dig up some old videos on him, wondering why the FG has been holding him prisoner for so long. Turns out many of the videos of him were not nice at all. Openly inciting people of your ethnic group to hate others and so many unprintable things. In one of his meeting with the Igbo community in US, he said his organization needed donations for bombs and guns. Thank God those people had sense and were throwing questions at him.

Tbh, I wish my igbo brother will be more logical than emotional. I'm sorry, but this guy is not the hero you want him to be. You can't be in supoort of Nnamdi Kanu and Still a support of Peter Obi ( i wonder how that works). These are two different individuals with different ambitions entirely, any action without a clear objective can't work.

PEACE!

The killers of Deborah a young Christian student in Sokoto who openly brag about their heinous act on video. But till date, none of them have been arrested and prosecuted. Those murderer are walking around freely in Nigeria and no one is harassing them. But the same Nigerian government can go all the way to Kenya to kidnap another Nigerian for incitement.

Crime / Re: Convicted Billionaire Kidnapper Evans Opts For Plea Bargain by wisdomguy4u(m): 12:36pm On May 18
Kobicove:

As far as I'm concerned his primary reason for asking for please bargain is so that he can escape the death sentence then negotiate a lighter offence.

And please stop comparing Evans with Hushpuppi, the offences they committed are of two very different classes, while Hushpuppi committed a financial misdemeanor Evans on the other hand is a first criminal who committed a capital offence (I'm pretty sure he has also committed murder of a victim before)

He should be sentenced to death by firing squad which should be televised live so everyone can see the ultimate punishment that awaits a kidnapper in Nigeria!

He should be used a a landmark case in Nigeria if we want to nip kidnapping in the bud before it takes root in the country

You just said the primary reason he opts for a plea bargain, now what do you think is the primary reason why a Government will consider accepting the plea bargain? Its simply to consider if the information they will get in return from him is worth it.
Crime / Re: Convicted Billionaire Kidnapper Evans Opts For Plea Bargain by wisdomguy4u(m): 8:57am On May 18
Kobicove:
There should not be option for plea bargain in kidnap cares, only capital punishment is acceptable!

You guys seem not to understand what a plea bargain entails. It could mean that he will disclose to the police his other accomplices who are still at large, his sponsors, and how he got access to guns and in return gets life imprisonment instead of the death penalty. However, the information obtained from him will help solve many security challenges in the country. Even Hushpuppy was granted a plea bargain to name his accomplices.

Would it not have been a better injection into the Nigerian economy, if those given the paltry sum of N50k as business grants, were actually given N500k with money used to subsidise pilgrimage?

Pilgrimage is a personal desire.

A law must be passed to stop all states and federal government from spending public funds on any sort of pilgrimage financing.

How can a child who scores 139 be in the same classroom, take the same lecture, and write the same exam as a child who scores 2? The teachers would have to go to the level of the child who got admission with 2 while teaching, thereby dulling the sharp brain of the child who scored 139. Admission should be by merit. Let us stop scarifying good brains from quota

While Peter Obi is building boreholes and donating food to the north through his personal pocket, the Federal government is subsidizing hajj through our national purse. If you still can't see the difference then you are a f**l
