Nairaland GeneralHave Your Mechanic Ever Damage Your Car While Cruising Around With It ? by wisdomguy4u(op): 8:35am On Nov 20, 2021
So for sometime now, I observed that my car ( lexus 350) was consuming so much fuel and was also producing black smoke from the exhaust. I have been managing it like that for few weeks now because I haven't got the time to take it to my mechanic.

So yesterday, I decided to take it to my mechanic workshop for repair. The mechanic told that he will need to run some test to ascertain what could be the problem.

So I left the car with him at his workshop and left to be back later in the day. Just few hours afterwards, the mechanic called me to tell me that my car engine has knocked.

When I query him to find out how that could happen when my engine is sound and I just recently change my engine oil. To my surprise, after I left , he stated cruising around with my car, driving around town and engine knocked on a neighboring town due to damage bottom plate ; which was obviously cause by hitting the underneath of the car on a hard surface.

I have insisted that he get me my car sound the way I handed it over to him and he has been begging me since yesterday to have mercy on him as he doesn't have money. From the information I heard, getting a tokunbo engine can cost up to 400k .

This is really painful, don't really know what to do with the mechanic guy now.

Guys, have your mechanic ever damage your car while cruising around after you left the car with him. How did you handle it?

Nairaland GeneralUnknown Gun Men: We Know Who They Are by wisdomguy4u(op): 7:24pm On Apr 28, 2021
UNKNOWN GUNMEN: WE KNOW THEM

Unknown gunmen.....We know who they are.
They were born two to three decades ago in horrible maternity homes. Some of them lost their mothers because of poor medical care. They just learnt that someone stole the money budgeted for the building of good hospitals.

Unknown gunmen.......We visited some of them in primary and secondary schools. They were learning under the tree. Some of them used blocks as desks. But some were lucky to learn in uncompleted and delapidated buildings. I think that they did not learn right because someone stole the money budgeted for good schools.

Unknown gunmen.......We saw them recently in the university. They were living in horrible hostels. The ones I met were 12 in a room. They had no good toilets and I ran into girls showering outside. It was that day that the strike began. They could not graduate because someone stole the money budgeted for good quality university education.

Unknown gunmen......We know that they are broke. They've been jobless for sometime now. Many of them are graduates that can't find jobs after years in the university. They got tired begging for money and being called lazy youths. They just became the devil's workshop because someone stole the money that should have been used to create jobs for them and keep them busy.

Unknown gunmen......We saw them on social media recently. They've been complaining on Twitter and FB about police brutality. Some of them said that they were beaten by SARS just because of their hairstyles. Others said that SARS locked them up for carrying laptops. They seem really angry because they were shot at for protesting police brutality recently. They feel neglected, exploited and taken for granted by their leaders.

Unknown gunmen......We know them.
They are the angry youths rendered jobless, poor and hungry by corrupt politicians. They said that they've complained enough and have decided to pull the trigger.

PoliticsThe Only Person From South-east In Aso Villa Is A Photographer — Abaribe by wisdomguy4u(op): 10:58am On Nov 20, 2020
Senate Minority leader, Enyinnaya Araribe intensified his call for more recognition to be given to those from the South East at the federal level, saying that the only person from that region in the Aso Villa is a photographer.

Abaribe said this on Friday as a guest on Channels Television’s programme Sunrise Daily in reaction to Governor David Umahi’s defection from Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Abaribe who had earlier in the week said the party was unfazed by Umahi’ defection also believes the governor’s movement will be gauged properly when it’s time for the 2023 elections.

His words: “Let us assume Governor Umahi is bringing the South East, as he says, into the mainstream because that was what I heard yesterday. What is the mainstream? Is it the Aso Villa that belongs to all of us that you cannot find a single person from the South East, except a photographer?

“Before every part of this country was represented in the Aso Villa, so when you want to do government business because sometimes government business is done from back channels, so if you have a problem or they want to do some consultations, you make a call into the Villa, you call to your countryman and say please can you tell oga this or that so that we can have this talk, there is none today inside the villa. There’s one guy, his name is Sunny, I think he’s a photographer

“So Umahi is going to talk to who? Ok, because he is governor he can talk to Chief of Staff, he can go to see the president but what about others?”

When confronted with names of those who are from the South East and aides to the president, Araribe responded by asking, ‘where are they? Can you call them and ask them to tell the President A, B, or C? Everybody knows that we do not have someone you can call a proper person within that whole enclave you call the Villa. We had access, we do not have that anymore. Of course, you can have low-level people being appointed, but what do they do that you can say these people make a difference in our lives in the South East?
