Just about to open their gate, the man (thief). attacked them with gun and ask dem to bring their phones and money from their bags... they did and when he tried running away, he was caught by Area Boys in my area due to the screaming feom the girls....( thief...ooooo... theif...ooo... make ona help).
That GOD their lives was not lost but rather the thief was caught...

The Independent National Electoral Commission has insisted that they’ll use the PVC reading machines during the general elections despite protest from PDP for them not to use it citing the irregularities that will be caused by the use of PVC reader.

After careful thoughts about the use of PVC reading machine during the elections, I found out that the PVC reader will cause more electoral fraud and problem than before with my following observations;

The PVC reading machine is controlled by a software which has the capability of detecting, accepting and rejecting an original and a fake PVC.

Since the PVC reading machine can be programmed (configured) to accept and reject original and fake PVC respectively, as a programmer there’s no doubt that the same machine can be programmed (configured) to accept or reject any PVC be it authentic or fake.

The introduction is this machine will lead to “advance electoral fraud” because this machine will be configured to accept and reject some sets of PVC’s in some areas.

For example, the PVC reading machine that will be sent to Akwa-Ibom can be programmed to “reject” any PVC that contains names like Bola, Shola, Ade, Ibrahim, Musa etc. and PVC reading machine sent to places like Lagos and Kano can be programmed to “reject” names like Okon, Uche, Emeka, Ebele etc.

The use of technology in election if not really checked can lead to high election fraud.

It can be recalled that INEC claimed to be fully prepared for the election earlier slated for 14th February but later tested the PVC reading machine one month after the postponement of the election and there were much irregularities during the testing of the PVC reading machine.

Madonna has confirmed she dated Tupac Shakur after two decades of speculation. The 56-year-old talked about her brief relationship with the rapper, who tragically died in 1996.

Madonna made the revelation while on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show.

The pop icon offhandedly remarked about the state of mind she was in during a David Letterman appearance back in the 1990s when her relationship with Tupac was revealed.

Stern asked her if she liked Letterman because back in the 90s, all of her interviews appeared hostile. Madonna said she was usually flirting with the late night host except for one appearance in 1994 where she was a bit vulgar in her language.

“I was mad at David Letterman and I said the f-word a lot,” she explained. “I was in a weird mood that day. I was dating Tupac Shakur at the time and the thing was he got me all riled up about life in general. So when I went on the show I was feeling very gangsta.”

Madonna was long believed to have dated the iconic rapper in 1994 (the same year as the Letterman appearance) but she has not spoken publicly about the relationship all that much. Previously, just prior to his death, Tupac referred to Madonna as ‘real nice’ and someone who ‘helped me a lot.’

A book by Lucy O’Brien, Like An Icon (2007), claims that the Material Girl not only dated the rapper but wanted a baby with him. Madonna has never responded to the claim but has since gone on to become the mother to four children, ranging in age from nine to 18. Tupac was fatally shot on September 7, 1996, in Las Vegas after a Mike Tyson boxing match.

The 28th convocation ceremony of the university of calabar and the 40th anniversary has held as scheduled, and has left numerous legacies behind in the minds of the university community and the public at large.

One of such legacies was the absence of the state Governor and the visitor of the university from such a big event. Though the governor was ably represented by the honourable commissioner of education for state, Prof. Offiong, Offiong, many described the absence of the governor as uncalled for, due the magnitude of the event. A student from the faculty of law who didn’t want her name in print said that for the governor to absence himself from the university convocation and anivesary celebration of this magnitude, then he has no love for the UNICAL community.

If he was listed for an Honorary degree, he would have been physically present, despite other engagement, she concluded. Similary, one of graduand from the faculty of social science said he was disappointed that both the President of the country and the state governor boycotted the double celebration, even as they were high preparations and anticipation to receive and welcome them to the celebration.

He concluded that either the planning committee for the celebration didn’t do their work well or the both officials are treating UNICAL with levity, because according to him, the event is bigger than a commissioner of educations representation.

Another student who was very furious over the absence of the duo from the event said that both officials do not have the love of the graduating youths and the university community at large, he vowed never to vote PDP in the forth coming elections, because of that singular act the duo has done, because according to him, he came to the event just to see the governor for the first time, but suddenly meet his absence.

The University of Calabar has held her 28th convocation ceremony, for the graduating students of the 2012/2013 academic session. The double event which coincided with the 40th anniversary celebration of the university held at the famous Abraham ordia stadium of the university. The ceremony which was declared opened by, the chancellor of the university ,Alhaji Maumadu Kabiru Umah, who was ably represented by the Pro Chancellor of the university, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyawu, at about 10.30am.

The Pro Chancelor in his address described all the graduands as proud prouduct of the institution, stating that it is very difficult for the university to unleash them into the world. He further advised the graduands to remain good ambassadors of the university where ever they find themselves.

The vice chancellor of the university, Prof. James Epoke, in his address described all the graduands as been found worthy in character and learning. He stated that this was the best convocation ever in the history of the university, especially for graduating ten first class students. He announced an automatic employment to all the graduands who bag first class. Sen. Liyel Imoke, the governor of cross River state, who was represented by the commissioner of education, Prof. Offiong E. Offiong, applauded the university and especially the vice chancellor for the giant stride recorded in his administration, especially for the steps taken by him to established the faculty of pharmacy and engineering, this according to him will help industrialised the state. He congratulated all the graduands for making themselves and their family proud.

Prof Epoke listed the challenges faced by the school to include flooding, ongoing construction of the faculty of engineering and pharmacy, and leaded for the presidential assistance. In another development, the second Saturday of March of every year has been approved by the school senate for convocation on yearly bases. The best graduating student, Pius, Nkpouto Udoh, from the department of Genetics and Biotechnology,(GBT) of the faculty of science graduated with a CGPA of 4.70, bag various awards from various groups and cooperate body, including the university award of twenty thousand naira. Out of the 8,120 graduands, 6823 bag first degree, 940 bag post graduate degree 5883. Ten bag first class, 7772 bag second class, and 1759 bag third class respectively. Speaking after the ceremony, some of the graduands express joy for they described as a dream come true, and promised to come back to support their alm- mata whenever the need arises.
