Politics / An Open Letter To My Outgoing President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan by Wisdytech(m): 8:58am On Apr 03, 2015
By Emeka Emmanuel,

Dear Goodluck:

i. Unlike Charles Taylor, you believe your
country (Nigeria) is greater than you, so
you have admitted defeat without war.

ii. Unlike Gbagbo, you have conceded and
you are ready to inaugurate a new
government headed by your opponent.

iii. Unlike Robert Mugabe, you haven’t
manipulated election to keep you in office.

iv. Unlike Mahmud Ghadaffi, you believe
the people have the right to choose their
leader.

v. Unlike Hosni Mubarak, you’ve refuse to
use the security forces against your
people.

vi. Unlike Babangida, you are not ready to
set up interim government because
you’ve lost peoples’ confidence and
acceptance.

vii. Unlike Abacha, you don’t consider Aso
Rock your father’s house, so you are not
going to die for it.

viii. Unlike Obasanjo, you’ve appointed a
free and unbiased umpire as the
chairman of INEC (Jega against Iwu).

ix. Unlike Aregbesola, you’ve never
believed in violent polls, so you haven’t
asked your supporters to go to polling
booths with charms and ammunition.

x. Unlike Shagari, you would never hand
over to a military president, so you’ve
conducted a transparent election.

xi. Unlike Obasanjo, you don’t believe
election is a “do or die” affair, rather, you
believe that “one’s ambition worth the
blood of nobody”.
xii. Unlike many Nigeria’s politicians,
you’ve openly accepted defeat and don’t
blame INEC for your loss.

xiii. Unlike many African presidents, you’ve
become the first sitting African president
to conduct election which you’ve lost.
I’m more than proud of you. After Nelson
Mandela in South Africa, you are the new
god of democracy in Africa. Your open
acceptance of the results and
congratulating of your opponent have
opened a new democratic chapter for
Nigeria and Africa in whole. I do hereby
recommend you for Nobel Laurel Prize for
Peace and Leadership, the Mo Ibrahim
Prize for Leadership and every other
available award for a true statesman and
true democrat.

As you bow out of office come May 29,
may you bow into peace, happiness,
wealth, good health, prosperity, and long
life.

It is an open secret that PDP and APC to an extent are are adept at rigging and do so blatantly in areas where they are popular.
PDP`s popularity in Akwa Ibom is at an all time low cos Akpabio is trying to mount a successor, against the will of the majority Ibibios. Even though Udom Emmanuel is an Ibibio, most people see him as an Akpabio puppet and would prefer UOU.
Most PDP top guns like former governor Victor Attah( a respected Ibibio leader) and Don Etiebet(ex minister for petroleum) have openly endorsed UOU. The Oron Nation have been marginalised for too long and have the prospect of producing a deputy governor for the first time under UOU, hence, will vote massively for APC. Udom undermined his himself by picking a deputy from the annang clan. Ibibios are in the majority and will determine who becomes governor. Lastly, the Buhari factor will play a role cos the people would not want to be in opposition to the central government cos AKS has always been in alignment with the government at the centre.

It is possible if the government of the day does not truncate the will of the people by conniving with INEC staff, police and media to rig massively as witnessed on 28th of march. Many polling booths with no international observers were deliberately starved of ballot papers and result sheets while PDP agents had a field day.
UOU should win comfortably in Uyo and eket senatorial districts while splitting the votes in ikot ekpene axis with Udom emmanuel.

So are you trying to tell us that PDP is known as a rigging party?

But come to think of this, Is PDP in Akwa Ibom still active?

I think Udom Emmanuel is the change and new breed needed in Akwa Ibom state keeping party affiliations aside.
He was also ssg, and given his experience rising to the top of his career with zenith bank, he had what it takes to move the state forward.

Umana umana is part of the old cabaI...his seeking of the governorship office made him decamp.

I think the only error Akpabio did was to give his zone the deputy governorship slot after doing 8 years. He should have given it to Uyo senatorial district.

But I am positive Udom will win nevertheless.

YOU HAD REALLY SPOKEN WELL! Thanks for the info

The issue of APC at the federal level shouldn't be a problem. Governors should be wise enough to be diplomatic so as to curry favour to their States, no matter the party affiliation
Politics / Opinion: Can Apc Wins The Governorship Seat In Akwa Ibom State? by Wisdytech(m): 6:19pm On Apr 01, 2015
By Eyo Nse,

Akwa Ibom State currently is a PDP state lead by Governor Godswill Akpabio who has since emerged victorious on his senatorial race for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.

The just concluded presidential election brought history to Nigeria were the opposition candidate Gen. Muhammadu Buhari of the APC won the incumbent president of the PDP.

Akwa Ibomites may not want the state to be an opposition state because of the lack of federal government presence usually experienced in opposition states in Nigeria and they may want to support the APC governorship aspirant Mr. Umana Okon Umana (a former SSG of the state).

Political experts foresee that Nigeria may become an APC filled state in the nearest future if only Nigeria President Elect Gen. Buhari will enact/fulfilled his manifesto proposed during his campaign.

Do you think Udom Emmanuel of the PDP will win the current Nigeria’s majority political party APC in Akwa Ibom State even though Akwa Ibom is a core PDP state?

I think MTN-NG africa’s giant in mobile telecommunication has risen up with its Data services by making it go cheap and be affordable to all its subcribers, be it in Rural and urban settlements.

Airtel-Ng still top the race as the most cheapest data service provided in Nigeria.

HOW CAN I GET THE 50MB FOR N100 ON MTN-NG? TO get started “Text 113 to 131″ or dial *113# to activate for just N100.

Validity: 24hours, but in some cases probably a lucky SIM it may run upto 48 to 72hours if not exhusted.

Note: This plan is really meant for mobile phones, PC usage may not really give you an advance browsing experience, because it will be exhausted within seconds.

Sports / Former Super Eagles Captain, Nwankwo Kanu Expands Business Frontier by Wisdytech(m): 12:35pm On Mar 30, 2015

Nothing enhances a man’s mood better than a fat bank account. That could have played a major role in the transmutation of former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu, from an athlete to a businessman. He is currently brimming with joy over the success of his businesses and the strides he has been making in business since he hung his boots a few years ago.

The veteran footballer, popularly called Papilo, has expanded the frontiers of his business by including a modelling agency to be called Papilo Modelling Agency. After a bitter feud with his friend who once ran his business while he built his football career, Kanu decided to take charge of his numerous business ventures, which include oil and gas, real estate, hospitality and photography.
He is also said to be directly in charge of his newly established modelling studio located on Allen Avenue, Ikeja.

Sports / Four Super Eagles Players Dropped Ahead Of South Africa Friendly by Wisdytech(m): 8:44am On Mar 28, 2015

Media Officer of the Super Eagles, Toyin Ibitoye, has revealed that four players have been dropped ahead of Sunday’s friendly match against South Africa.

The decision to drop the players, means Daniel Amokachi will be travelling with a 23-man squad, as Nigeria attempt to redeem their image against the Bafana Bafana.
“I believe four players will be dropped so that we will be going with a reduced number than those we have in camp presently,” Ibitoye told Goal.

“The Eagles have vowed to stage a comeback against their hosts on Sunday as they are still bitter about the home loss to Uganda”, he added.

Enyimba forward Mfon Udoh, Chidiebere Eze (Ifenayi Ubah FC), Onyekachi Okoye (Abia Warriors) and Ubong Moses (Kano Pillars) are the four players that will not make the trip.

Captain Vincent Enyeama has been ruled out with a back problem, while Kingsley Sokari, Onyekachi Okafor and Ubong Ekpai will be given a chance to shine against Ephraim Mashaba’s side.

Four persons including the Vice Chairman of Ukanafun Local Government, Mr Effiom Abaiwere were yesterday arraigned before a Magistrate court sitting in Ufanafun by the police in Akwa Ibom State over the death of the former Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Obong Okon Uwah, and an All Progressives Congress candidate for Ukanfun state Constituency in the forthcoming election.

Those arraigned alongside the Vice Chairman include, Endurance Marcus Udoh, Godwin Moses Udon,Akaniyene Benson Brown, and Simon Dan Udoikpe.

However, the suspects were ordered to be remanded in prison custody at Ikot Ekpene till the case will be reassigned to a higher court since the court has no jurisdiction to handle the case, the Chief Magistrate, Charles akpan noted that, ‘’ In view of the gravity of the offence, the court has no jurisdiction to hear the matter and has ordered it to be taken to the high court’’.
