fineworker24:Some us need to understand the issue here very well. Companies have rights to transfer their staff but this case was an act of victimization. Secondly, when a staff is elected as Union representative, you cannot transfer the staff out of the branch or zone he or she was elected. Once, any company agrees that the union should exist in the company, the company is expected to abide by some of these agreements. Its part of the union/management agreement. Again, Total showed there hand by asking Mrs Elo to take leave of absence thereby showing thereafter that the transfer is not motivated by any work requirement but to render her ineffective as the Zonal secretary of the union. Now Mrs Elo did not refuse to take the leave of absence but since this is the first time such thing will come up in d zone the modalities needs to be worked out bw d parties. But b4 d scheduled date for a meeting, Total issued her a sack letter. So there are events that culminated to the present situation. Its not just now. That the strike is coming now is most unfortunate and I personally would hv preferred d union waits till after xmas. Pengassan position is dat other companies might want to toe the same line and b4 u know it all elected officials are transfered out of d zone they were elected. There r serious intrigues in all pengassan election. Companies sponsor candidates n when there candidates fails election, they resort to other means including forcing a re-election by removing whoever they don't want thru this means (transfer) and making sure their man wins. That is why pengassan has such agreement that an elected member cannot be transfered outside d branch or zone once elected. |
Buhari |
franchizy:Now don't say all man. I have been a Buhari supporter for long and actually voted him in all elections and will still vote him come 2015. And am Igbo. I don't give a damn whatever anybody says. My stance, as it has always been, is show me evidence of GMB wrongdoing. I sincerely believe GMB is castigated because of his tough stance on corruption and that is why I am voting him. This country will be heaven on earth if we can take care of corruption but ofcourse the corrupt pple are fighting back with all their agents in Nairaland and other social media. Like u said Buhari will pull votes in the SE and that shows u that it's not all Igbos are hoodwinked and ur analysis about "all" Igbos are this or that is flawed. |
Wetin be PDP own sef? cant they face their own party issues. There are lots of issues and problems from their state primaries for them to sort out. They want a weak team from APC? Naaaa! |

When pple outside PH comment as if they are here I shudder. Wike is a known thug who tormented the whole of Obiakpor and Ph city with his boys when he was the Obiakpor LGA chairman. Anyone in PH remember d boys in Garrison, Rumuola, Artillery, etc that will jump into car (both private & commercial) demanding for all manner of receipts (example car radio license)? Those r Wike boys. These are the boys shouting Wike here and there. But PH ppple are wise. Unless PDP is prepared to rig massively, Wike cannot get 10% of votes cast. Forget all the noise. |
[quote author=Belexy95, ...what has dat got 2 do wit Gov. Amaechi?[/quote]I just wonder ooo |
Nothing at all. He has lost my vote already. |
NOI = Ngozi Okonjo Iweala Wetin dem go rate before? NOI polls cannot be credible until Auntie Ngo bows out of Govt. |
They only tell us about the effect of oil price drop. When the oil price goes up, we don't feel the impact at all. Let the austerity measures start from the top. From Aso rock to the National assembly. They should cut their bogus salaries and allowances first. |
Why is this not on the frontage yet? |
loopman:Na my broda Ifeanyi Uba who embezzled our oil subsidy money. Why all Jona friends na thieves really beats my imagination. Anyway, why do we care? Stealing is not corruption. |
pring:My dear, just keep politics aside, i've been in Rivers state for the past 14 yrs and I can categorically say that Amaechi has really really done well. If Odili was able to do half of what Amaechi has done, Rivers state would have gone beyond what it is now. |
sluvy4tune:Exactly! I tot Abati wants to counter Amaechi with facts and evidence. But from all that rubbish he said there, Amaechi is simply saying the truth. Reuben Abati can go to any high school and lecture them on how to construct English. As for being honest, he's not even close. |
noblezone:Here goes the rantings of another TAN (Thieving Agberos of Nigeria) member. |
chuks01:That is one thing that most of these online posters don't know. They generalize as if GEJ has the Igbo vote in d bag. I am Igbo and I know a lot many Igbo folks who are waiting to queue behind Buhari. Leave the TANoids to wallow in self delusion. They will get their greatest shocker in 2015. I usually tell d GEJ supporters to give me a reason to support him as an Igbo man and the only thing I hear is that he appointed Mr. A and Mrs. B as dis or that. Is that what he was elected to do? Am talking about tangible and physical projects. What has he done for his brothers in Niger delta? It is on record that most of d companies in Niger delta was built by d so called Northern muslims. From refineries, petrochemical, LNG, etc. Which one did Jonathan build? Even a northerner would have delivered more for d Niger deltans. |
How much for d type dat will carry home electronics? |
@OP How do you solve the problem of transmission and distribution? Will each power company have their own separate transmission and distribution lines? How about termination at the premises? I would like to know how you'll tackle some of these challenges. |
I listened to that news. I am not a fan of the President but I think Mr. Sawyer or whatever deserved worse. Infact, describing him as crazy is just putting it very mild. He is no better than a terrorist. I bet Mama Peace would have done a better job here. Where is the first lady when she's needed most? |
Good list. My favourites such as Olu Jacobs, Pete Edochie, Joke Silva, Chiwetalu Agu, Patience ozokwo. But seriously, you need to hide the list for now. Bring it out when you have added Nkem Owoh and Fred of Tinsel. Without the legendary Nkem Owoh and Fred, the list does not exist. |
fixa: no time to read all this.No time to read? Then why do you bother to appear on the thread? This is just the major problem with black man. You will not read but wait for someone's comment and then you follow. I pity this generation. @Topic This is a good write up by someone close to the Govt. I await a rebuttal (if any)from the opposing party before concluding. |
Abagworo: Most Igbos know that Jonathan is not competent but are foolishly supporting him on grounds of being from East. It does us no good supporting someone who is unfit just because of tribe or region. The Igbos who are supporting GEJ despite his incompetence are those who were born after the war, those who are benefitting from the present state of corruption and those who have refused to learn a bit of history. I do wonder sometimes how suddenly we have become one with Niger Deltans and Ijaws who will at every opportunity categorically state that Igbos are not their brothers. But for their political convenience, Igbos should support GEJ because we are brothers and these categories of fickle-minded Igbos that I have mentioned will buy that. I am Igbo and a proud one at that. I don't look for a brother where he does not exist. Ijaws or Niger deltans and Igbos are not brothers and will never be. It is time this my idiotic set of Igbo brothers get it into their thick skull. Is it not Adaka Boro and Saro Wiwa that supported the Nigerian forces and fought against their "alleged" brothers, the Igbos, with their gun and pen respectively and was later betrayed by the Nigerian state? I don't support a leader simply because he comes from the same geographic expression as mine but on how competent he is in tackling the many issues bedeviling this country. As a result, I don't support GEJ because he is clueless, incompetent and corrupt! |
There is no issue here at all. I don't expect different news channels to render exactly same recorded video after editing. Both news media edited their video but atleast the message to a very reasonable extent is the same. So why the fuse? |
jmoore: To Cramjones or FFk or FFK's messengerExactly!!! This woman is just disgracing us, Ndigbo. Enough of her baggage. She should be shown the way out. This has nothing to do with tribalism and I wonder why people are generalizing. afterall, the house committee that found her guilty was chaired by another Igbo woman and one of the members of the committee that testified against her is also an Igbo. All these Igbo-defending apostles should please stay off. Nwanne anyi nwanyi na ete anyi unyi n'iru. Tufiakwa! |
Gold-mind:Taa! Mechie onu gi ndi mmuo ezutaa gi. He's a true and worthy Igbo son making us proud and not the Oduah's of this world. |
