Literature / Re: Continue The (Lola) Story by wisemen045(m): 8:36pm On Mar 09, 2012
Lola was stunned beyond words by Ms. Olatunji’s firm decision. She sat transfixed for a while and gradually recomposed herself to utter some words of apology. No sensible words left her mouth that had turned suddenly dry. ….’I’m sorry; so sorry ma’’ was all she could mumble. Your apology would be considered in writing retorted Ms. Olatunji as she dismissed Lola; pointing at the same time to the heavy oak door. Lola took hold of Sandra’s hand and walked out of Ms. Olatunji’s office in great thought. The least thought on her mind was the apology letter she had been mandated to write by her daughter’s school headmistress. I need to get that job she told herself. A smile crossed her sweaty face as she remembered that her performance at the interview had been great. She briefly recollected how Mr. Clarke watched her intently. She knew she would get the job. And she smiled again; this time the smile turned into laughter. Sandra couldn’t help noticing her mother was in a lighter mood. She smiled too and asked ‘’mummy, I am still celebrating my birthday?’’. ‘’se my cake will be bigger than Bayo’s cake, ehn mummy?’’ Yes my dear. Mummy would buy you a big cake when she gets a new job.

Somewhere in their lush residence in Dolphin estate, the Clarkes were busy sorting through the assessment sheets of the interviewees for the day. Honey, what’s your opinion on that Lola lady Mr. Clarke asked his wife. Hmm… Ms. Jane Omojobi Clarke sighed. Honey, you are so predictable. I knew you would ask about her. I watched as you listened to her talk in rapt attention. She is quite good. I am considering her for the final two who would come for a week of probation. I am sending the text messages this evening.

no be smal tin oh shocked

We are all here to perfect our skills. The more you write; the better you become. I guess you got carried away by the story and didn't really pay attention to details. For instance, the character of the head teacher had been established by wisemen045 as femine - quote- '', with the head teacher who was just descending the flight of stairs leading to HER office''. Wisemen045 also established Lola's maiden name, since she wasn't married to kingsley, as ''Miss Olatunji'' - quote- ''Miss Olatunji could you follow me to my office for a little discussion''. With that, Lola's identity became complete as Miss Lola Olatunji. It can be inferred that Lola is jobless from the previous submissions. Your insertion '' please, give me till the end of the month when I receive salary'' lacks foundation and could derail the story line. Advise; read the thread from the begining before contributing.

Try and work on your punctuation. Use that spacebar please! Did you type with a mobile device?

Thank you for contributing.

And when the time dilation was finally over; Lola, still angered, called out in her loud voice and demanded to speak with the head teacher who was just descending the flight of stairs leading to her office. Miss Olatunji could you follow me to my office for a little discussion she said. Lola picked up Sandra, adjusted the button of her shirt that had got undone during the brief encounter with Aunty Amaka and made her way to the head teacher's office.

I need to calm down Lola told herself. She breathed in and out in rapid succession just as she had learnt in the yoga manual she had stumbled across on the internet why reading up for her interview with Mrs. Clarke. Her mind darted again to the interview. What are my chances she said aloud. Excuse me the head teacher responded and looked back. Did you say something?
Computers / Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by wisemen045(m): 12:30am On Dec 05, 2010
Hello All,

My laptop (Toshiba satellite L305, with Microsoft Vista home premium OS) shuts down itself while I am working and tells me to restart in any of the safemode option. My initial thought was that I was under a virus attack and I had scanned with MCAFEE Enterprise using the latest DAT provided by my company but the problem persisted. I have removed the software I installed (some games) recently and used system restore to no avail. I fear a system crash. Could my OS be corrupt? Can I use the 'Repair windows option' without losing my file?

Please, help me.

I would appreciate if a detail response could also be sent to my email: wisemen045@yahoo.com

Thank you so much. I find this thread very useful and insightful.
Romance / Re: What Do You Enjoy Most About Being Single? by wisemen045(m): 8:22pm On Feb 15, 2008
I used to enjoy being single. Now, it gets so boring, so lonely.

Marriage is normal, its natural! The feeling will come sooner than later. Nobody can fight it. I thought I could. I read and and fortified myself but alas the love bug caught me. Now I can't sleep, can't do anything without a flash. I find it so difficult to imagine.

Being single just satifies the immediate, there is a permanent need to be filled. The void of being single has to be avoided.

Who says love is not good!
