Which is you are not sure?.. Oga you won't get it.
You think Atiku come play?. If you lose out in the ADC primaries, ogbeni nothing for you. Always looking for shortcut to success.
Lol. Precisely what I called him above Mr.Shortcuts. I can't believe how unintelligent Obi is.

Obvious the ADC is the platform of Atiku and his Fulani supremacists and born-to-rule hegemonists who have nothing or offer Nigeria and are simply desperate to take power away from a Southern President too independent-mibded for their liking.

What profit did Obi believe he stood to gain aligning himself with those sort? Tinubu will teach them all a lesson and many will see their political dreaam/career die permanently overnight in 2027 to include Atiku, Peter Obi, El Rufai, Malami, Tambuwal etal.

Tinubu is a President who has fully and competently consolidated power (32 Governors and counting) and we shall see what battle th ADC opposition feels they can take to Jagaban in January 2027.

Reality has set in
Before nko? Nothing better or more important in life than doing the right things when it matters to then enjoy the rewards. Obi never believed in standing his groubd to fight like a man when he must.

This is where that has gotten him. Someone who owns nothing, built nothing/nobody to now be reduced to a character whose fortune and fate is in the hands of others.

We all saw how he was last to join ADC, because of a cowardly nature of always sitting on the fence, whereas Atiku, Tambuwal, Malami etal had moved from day one to show the world ADC is a Party of desperate and dishonourable Fulani supremacists.

We were all witnesses to Obi shallowly announcing his job is to fix Nigeria and not labour Party whereas a real leader would not have avoided the responsibility of solving the problems of a Party he is Presidential candidate of.

Make your bed and lay in it. Mr.Shortcuts Obi has come to a dead end.

He has no other option, left. Abi, he wan defect back to LP, ni?

PO has boxed himself into a cul-de-sac. Baggage man to Atiku is his best offer.
Seems you underestimate how unprincipled and shameless Obi is. He has been reported to be negotiating with the NDC Party.

Obi fled the PDP, where it was the bonafide turn of the Igbos to produce the Party's Presidential candidate, because he could not face the Mullahs from up North as Wike bravely did.

Why will he not flee ADC that Igbos have no stake in since Atiku and his fellow Northern supremacists have funded the Party and made clear it is their platform to use wrestling power from a Southerner in breach of the rotation agreement?

Obi is just sad. The irony of the matter is that he could have been a good and well-regarded ally to PBAT but traditional hatred of Yorubas made him put all his eggs in the Fulani basket whereas the particular Fulanis he is courting are ruthless supremacists and hegemonists who merely view Obi a nuisance to be tolerated in their quest for power.

Look at how El Rufai who demeaned Obi as a "Nollywood actor" before 2023 yet is holding Obi's hand up and down because they all want Tinubu out

That is the treachery the unwise Obi went and joined, because of nothing other than hatred of Yorubas, same as he lined up behind the brutal dictator Abacha.

Next defection loading
Absolutely. When it comes to standing toe to toe with other men/leaders Obi always flees. Atiku, to his credit, did the needful to own ADC.

It was never going to be any other way. Let Obi find another jeun jeun Party to buy the 2027 ticket of.

Lol. Obi won't defect ke? You have too much faith in a man who has shown, time and time again, he lacks integrity and uprightness. Remember "the day I leave APGA is the day I die"?

As we speak, Obi is probably shopping around for a Party he can buy the ticket of without contesting any primaries or popularity test.
Foreign AffairsRe: Trump's Director Of Counter Terrorism Resigns In Protest Over War With Iran by WizardOfNG: 9:09am On Mar 18
@OP.

Trump isn't very bright IMO. People confuse wealth, which can be gained via bullishness and 'in your face' aggression, with intellect.

Also, he lacks critical-thinking depth and 'end game' foresight. Kent makes that clear citing how this is a repeat of Iraq "weapons of mass destruction" lies that dragged America into a dubious, needless and protracted war that had no positives at all for all sides involved.

With this current Iran misadventure, I made same point Kent does below which is that it cannot be proven in any way at all that Iran constituted enough of a direct threat to the USA to face the war America and Israel, a conniving and devious instigator, has brought upon Iran.

There is also the distasteful convergent factor, that international law forbids, related to the summary assassination of Iranian leaders the USA will never accept, and will likely plunge us into world war III over, were that done to her unprovoked.

I am no supporter of Iran or indeed any Western/non-African nation for that matter and to the extent of taking sides rabidly as many Nigerians do.

My belief is that. we must never lose sight of the troubling precedences some actions set for the world that can affect us negatively.

Trump is dangerously reckless and like a Bull in a China shop. His Venezuela heist victory has intoxicated and reinforced his sense of 'US invincibility'.

He won't be the first US President to believe that to then plunge the nation into different and avoidable misadventures over time with the likes of Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq being notable examples.

If he is not reigned in, he will precipitate world war III ( with nuclear armed China, Russia, North Korea and some powerful others in alignment over their latent dislike of "dictatorial" US) which will affect even his Nigerian backers who do not understand that when you support the actions of a madman today, then his madness may be visited on you tomorrow.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/mar/17/joe-kent-resigns-director-national-counterterrorism-center

. “Early in this administration, high-ranking Israeli officials and influential members of the American media deployed a misinformation campaign that wholly undermined your America First platform and sowed pro-war sentiments to encourage a war with Iran,” Kent wrote. “This echo chamber was used to deceive you into believing that Iran posed an imminent threat to the United States, and you should strike now, there was a clear path to a swift victory.

“This was a lie and is the same tactic the Israelis used to draw us into the disastrous Iraq war that cost our nation the lives of thousands of our best men and women.
We cannot make this mistake again.”

Krankhead:
Tinubu the first southerner on a state visit to UK even OBJ never get that
To be fair, Tinubu is well-regarded globally and seen as reminiscent of Lee kuan Yew who led Singapore to socio-economic glory.

I can understand Nigerians not appreciating Tinubu because they are the ones having to suffer and make sacrifices for misrule of past leaders Tinubu is trying reverse.

Tinubu, unfortunately, is getting the blame for implementing punitive but unavoidable reforms Nigeria must sacrificially commit to, as Singapore did, to become a developed nation in the next 30 to 40 years.

Yet, the fact is that a socio-economically troubled world, that include many developed nations, now look at Nigeria enviously because they know her untapped potentials to note the developmental glory that lay ahead for our Nation if a brave, resolute and innovative reformer, as Tinubu has proven to be, is given time to deliver for Nigeria.

The world is excited for us under Tinubu although they constantly demand more palliatives to cushion the punitive effect, on the masses, of vital reform being implemented which I agree with.

Watch how the people supposed to provide the security for Nigeria will keep quiet and pretend as if nothing is happening until another mad man like Simon Ekpa will draw his battle line for Tinubu in the south east and you will see hypocrisy even from the clergy and monarchy.
For Yorubas, nothing Igboho says amounts to more than his personal opinion.

We are not an ethnic group that follows pugnacious and combative troublemakers blindly and to our own detriment.

Yorubas cannot follow Igboho, nor his instructions, blindly
PoliticsRe: Tension As Sunday Igboho Draws Battle Line For Peter Obi, Atiku In Yorubaland by WizardOfNG: 6:16am On Mar 17
Igboho overstepping his mark. All are free to campaign in Yorubaland because that is what democracy must entail and protect fundamentally.

Nonetheless, I agree with his message that there is nothing in Yorubaland for Atiku and Obi in 2027.

Yorubas are the most progressive, sophisticated and dispassionately objective voters out of the 4 major ethnic groups in Nigeria i.e Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa and Fulani.

We see and understand things Tinubu is doing that will be immeasurably progressive and developmental for Nigeria that the world celebrates him for.

Those initiaitve and reforms are capable of driving Nigeria towards developed nation status, say Singapore for example, even if many Nigerians cannot make the connection between temporarily punitive but vitally needed reforms and future accelerated growth and development that has given us the "developed nations" of the world.

It will be socio-economic suicide to allow Atiku reverse such as we know he surely will since he is not progressive or sincere.

Similarly we cannot risk the coward and weakling Obi, with zero political strength or backing behind him, fail to protect and see out reforms Nigeria needs to become developed.

I can't speak for Nigeria but Tinubu will win the entire SW comfortably and with a wide margin over others because we see what he is doing that must be continued for the sake of Nigeria's greatness tomorrow and our generations unborn.

Lol. For sure, and 100% guaranteed, you will sing another tune when your latest messiah, I.e Trump, ends up disgraced and discredited since you cannot see this is about commonsense and dedication to doing what is right by all and not about Trump per se.

Abi I need to remind you of Azikiwe, Kaduna Nzeogwu, Aguyi Ironsi, Ojukwu, Abacha, Kanu, Ekpa etal and where they ended up after you lot queued behind them blindly as if they are infallible demi-gods?

Why carry out rash and thoughtless action that can spark a global crisis for the entire world yet you guys have the nerve to attempt whipping up sentiment against those who, rightly , insisted your messiah should not have done that merely because he feels he has the military power and armoury to get away with such?

Flouting International law, you back "messiah" Trump blindly.

Entering a sovereign nation to kidnap her leader and then announce arrogantly the commandeering of Venezuelan oil, "very good" and necessary according to you people.

Summary execution of the leaders of others in their home, in a period not wartime meaning no justification for pre-emptive strike, is "wonderul" to you lot.

Yet others saying these actions are wrong and dangerous for the world are the villains and you lot the good guys.

Funny thing is that your history, and the costly mess you have caused Nigeria and other Nigerians, never validate your claims of being holier and more virtuous than others.

Similar to Trump masquerading as a crusader for Christianity and goodness yet operates like an armed robber unapologetically bullying others, possessing only bow and arrow, with his rockets

PoliticsRe: Obidients/Ipob Should Go And Help Trump Open Strait Of Hormuz by WizardOfNG:
Lol. Well-said OP. Had to laugh when Trump was begging Europe to send warships and military assistance to help 'clear' the Strait of Hormuz.

This was same Trump strutting imperiously like a Peacock, along with Hegseth the self-styled US "secretary of war", after their initial gra gra.

Now Trump is even trying to gaslight so-called allies, threatening them with continuous high oil prices if they don't help bring the impasse over the Strait of Hormuz to an end.

He caused the problem with his rash action he took without consulting others believing Iran to be Venezuela.

Now, and showing the man has no conscience and is a sociopath who cannot see his own wrongdoing, Trump is nsisting Europe must own the fallout of the madness the US allowed their President unleash on the world.

The man will cause world war III and the mumu Congress will look on till we all perish.

It is amusing though, that on our own shores, the usual suspects have once again queued blindly behind another lunatic who acts before considering consequences.

Even the north you so much reverend, feared and worship, they know they can't sideline the SW.
There is a region that will always be sidelined in the Nigerian politics. It is not the SW
I have made this same point a million times yet some people are too malevolently and vindictively triggered about the Yorubas and SW to see/accept reality.

Only a shamelessly dishonest person, outrightly refusing to work with reality, will deny that the SW and SS are the two regions giving Nigeria life and relevance currently.

With so many regions self-harming and committing socio-economic suicide, the SW and SS will even grow more relevant to Africa and the rest of the world to the extent both will be totally indispensable to Nigeria if that is not the case already.

Some people can continue daydreaming sha.

Your negative and malevolent obsession with the Yorubas is nauseating.

The commentator, like many others, is clearly expressing worry about Tinubu's visionary reforms, similar to those that transformed some nations spectacularly, being truncated as a result of Tinubu exiting office.

This is a pretty illogical statement.

China had massive casualties during World War II and the Spanish Flu, and later even went through a huge famine under Mao’s policies. Despite all that, their population still boomed afterward.

Europe’s aging population wasn't really caused by those past events. It’s the result of several factors like consistently low birth rates, people living longer, and other demographic trends.

But yeah, #saynotowar
You're right and some of the reasons for declining birth rate in Europe are pretty obvious. Especially if one has lived there to note issues like relatively high cost of living that are direct disincentives to having several children.
