Yorubas are now correcting their mistake by begging the Igbos for forgiveness.
Supporting Igbo presidency in 2027 is the right thing Yorubas should do before it is too late.
Lenghty article with said Yoruba group not named once is what you have used to conclude Yorubas are "begging the Igbos for forgiveness".

Who begs for the forgiveness of others they have never wronged? Is it not you lot who should be begging Yorubas?

When you’re ready to speak the truth, I’ll be here. APC fraudulent government defender. Nigeria is the lowest country paying tax. You mean after the removal of fuel subsidy, after all the indirect income tax, after VAT, after stamp duty, despite the numerous natural resources. Give another excuse again🥳
Continue arguing driven by ignorance and prejudice. Lagos can never function optimally with a population twice the size her upper maximum population limit should be when she lack even 5% the infrastructure of the likes of London, Tokyo etal. That is a town planning and urban management fact.

Meaning your diatribe above is misguided and ignorant rubbish. Not surprised by your talk and take though because one main problem with Nigeria many have no identified is that Nigerians are an extremely prejudiced and intolerant people who then proudly pander to their prejudices, ignorance and emotions rather than reject them.

Once most Nigerians are biased against someone (PBAT) or something (the government, an ethnic group or religion for example) they can never see clearly to make cogent, logical and solutions-provision arguments.

Totally false, for thinking folks, the claim Nigeria is failing because of leaders and corruption alone.

The main problem of Nigeria is the deficient human resources, running across the populace and of course producing the leaders, that can never think logically, critically and in a dispassionately objective way to then be a solutions provider for himself, his fellow men and society whether in a leadership or follower role.

Here for example, we are talking about practical issues and you are foaming at the mouth over totally unconnected garbage about fuel subsidy removal, stamp duty etal yet you cannot argue soundly how to overcome the simple and direct problem of a State hosting far too great a population than she can cater for.

You are like Obi who, because of hate for the government of PBAT, goes to the North to deceive them "lack of opportunities" that is a "failing of Government" is their problem because he assumes they are m0r0ns up there who will vote him after patronising them.

Whereas me and you know one of the main problem of the North is uncontrolled child birth and lack of family planning that means many simply have too many children than they can physically/financially support optimally to become productive and positive members of society.

With Kidnapping, terrorism and banditry destroying the socio-economic framework of Nigeria, we are all seeing today the fallout of lying to ourselves and indulging what should not be indulged because of prejudice, insincerity and political correctness.

The same way Northerners need to face the truth to embrace family planning and end the Almajiris system is same way Lagos must accept that unchecked and uncontrolled influx of permanent migrants is problem that will ensure the state never works optimally and as the best megacities in the world do.

If many of you are asked to share your one bedroom flat, having only one toilet and one kitchen ,with 40 adults permanently then what miracle can you deploy to make that situation work year in and year out for the foreseeable future without concluding some must leave so you gain a manageable number of people living with you?

You mentioned genuine problems and concerns for lagos as a state...

Massive migration, overpopulation, citizen behavior etc. Non of it is directly related to people not paying tax or lagos state not generating enough revenue to handle one of it's basic responsibility!
Bro "basic responsibility" for any State directly correlates with management of acceptable burden a State is expected to be able to deal with.

It is unreasonable people who expect a State to be burdened unreasonably (humongous population explosion) to then insist said State must manage the physically unfeasible burden and keep managing such as it multiplies rapidly daily.

I politely asked you to consult knowledgeable experts for their opinion but you rejected that and repeated your previous argument verbatim.

That is AI's well-researched ideal population for Lagos with stated conservative and upper limit population for Lagos i.e her normal State management burden the state has the capacity to cope with.

Most of us would preferentially settle on conservative ideal population of 9.2 million which allows Lagos to be "comfortable, well-planned". Push come to shove we would accept upper limit that means Lagos would be "dense but functional' with 13.8 million people.

What on earth do you then call the 22-26 million estimated population of Lagos that is virtually twice what town-planning considers ideal populationof lagos (at 13.8 million) using models comparing cities of the world and successful management of population per size of geographical space?

Can't you then deduce that if Lagos is this unfeasibly burdened then more money should be availabke to her perhaps perhaps via tax payment from the many empty and ignorant noisemeaker who avoid paying taxes yet are most uncouth insulting Lagos and her leaders?

Look at images supplied and scroll to last two chapters of "Reality check" and "bottom line" to note the problems unfeasible population growth, via massive influx from other States, is causing Lagos that need the "infrastructure of Tokyo or Seoul" to deal with her current population yet does not have that and is unlikely to have such in 50 to 70 years even

Hope you now understand that nothing you argue here is making logical or solutions-provision sense.

3. Ideal Population for Lagos

Using urban Lagos ≈ 1,150 km²:

Conservative (comfortable, well-planned)

8,000/km² × 1,150 km² ≈ 9.2 million

Upper-limit (dense but functional)

12,000/km² × 1,150 km² ≈ 13.8 million

To those above talking rubbish and nonsense about tax...

Did the lagos government complain the reason for not packing up the dirt and cleaning the road was because they don't have funds or that it is broke?

Lagos is one of the biggest beneficiary of taxation in Nigeria. Generating revenue to the tone of billions monthly. Lagos is a small state by size what do they do with all the money generated if they can't do basic things like keeping the state clean?

Is it until they tax people money out from their nose that they would work or do basic acts of governance like keeping the state clean?

Make una dey side nonsense even when you are suffering for it. Some of you are used to suffering though so I can't blame you!
There is no way you can keep a State clean when it is burdened unfairly by humongous inward migration, month on month and year on year, from other States of Nigeria.

Lagos cannot work magic against physical challenges and Nigerians tend not to never see this because most view themselves blameless while pointing the finger at leaders over everything.

There is no magic that can be worked to counter massive influx of people, in a short period of time, into a geographical space that cannot physically handle that near overnight population explosion.

It is not possible and it is Nigerians, because they are unreasonable and irresponsible plus largely ignorant, who believe the entire population of several states of Nigeria can be combined and squeezed into the smallest State in Nigeria with no serious negative consequences for town planning and urban management.

No need for redundant back and forth. Nairalander should simply get professional input, we all have to respect, by showning this post to urban, town and regional planning professionals plus experts in specialized fields like civil engineering, public health, and environmental science.
PoliticsRe: Why Obidients Were So Sure Of A Coup Before May 29th Inauguration by WizardOfNG: 3:58pm On Jan 30
9jatriot:
Who remembers how the "Obidient" crew were openly wishing for a coup long before the inauguration in 2023? They were so confident that there would be no inauguration on May 29, 2023. While many of us dismissed it as wishful thinking, recent events suggest that an actual plot might have been in motion. The belief among the "Obidients" was that the military would seize power and hand it over to "Lamba King." Some hardcore supporters didn’t even care if power was handed to him—they just didn’t want Tinubu to rule.
I have reason to believe that if the DSS digs deeper, they’ll uncover more to this coup than what’s currently visible. Given how certain many of these "Obidients" were at the time, it would be very difficult for anyone to convince me that their main sponsors and key players aren’t involved in this coup plot.
I also suspect that figures like Emefiele and Malami will be implicated if this matter is thoroughly investigated. Additionally, I believe many of those involved in this alleged coup are also among those fueling insecurity across the country. Who knows? Maybe the ransoms they’ve been collecting from kidnappings were intended to fund this very cause.
To think that this plan was allegedly still in play from 2023 until September 2025 when someone came out to report is staggering.
No sensible person can dismiss your claim. Afterall we now know the coup plotters initially wanted to prevent the swearing in of Tinubu in February 2023 so this is not about any excuses of "bad governance" but a coup to prevent a Southerners of Tinubu's standing and independent-mindedness becoming President.

https://www.nairaland.com/8608810/suspected-coup-plotters-planned-truncate

Below also is Datti hyperventilating and literally pleading for power to be abused to prevent Tinubu being sworn in as President in 2023. Imagine if this radical and fundamentalist Mauritanian was politically powerful enough to carry out his heart desire?

https://www.nairaland.com/7622878/datti-swearing-tinubu-like-handing

One thing we do not understand is that most Nigerians are 'sleeping' through life and ignorant of the grave danger of how Nigeria has too many wicked and evil enemies-within, than is healthy for any nation to host, who do not want to see her succeed.

They are ready to kill millions even and precipitate a Rwanda-style ethnic genocide strife to get their evil ways.

This is why I keep begging Yorubas to wake up and unitedly demand regional autonomy before it is too late.

Imagine a Mauritanian bringing his lawless, dictatorial and brutish Somalia-like mentality to bear on Nigerian political affairs same way he advocated for the execution of homosexuals.

We are fcking around ignorantly in Nigeria and indulging many powerful demons and devils with only a few Nigerians truly aware of what is coming.

Even the desperation of Atiku, Tambuwal, Malami, Sule Lamido etal to directly jettison rotation agreement in 2023, to ensure Fulanis replace Buhari and continue in power, was effectively an attempt at a political coup after the South had perfectly obliged the North to enjoy 8 years in power.

It was a nauseating sight for me to behold this morning . Somthing shifted in me , but it was of immense curiosity borne out of : why can’t we get it right for once in this country .

For context : Lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria in terms of landmass and yet the richest state in west Africa. It’s a multibillion naira independent economy . Yet , what you find around is eye sore of garbage and soul crushing dirts like a pillar in the middle of the metropolis. This is suruelre , shitta roundabout .

If Lagos can’t get it right , then forget it . Nigeria can’t get it right . Cos Lagos is meant to be a prototype for other states .

The whole money in trillions made in this state is used to service one man’s greed —- no obvious development , nothing .

If you bring somone to Lagos for the first time , this is what they will see
The blacks indeed can’t govern . They lack the capacity . I d prefer if we still being colonized
Below is a huge pile of rubbish in Whitechapel London. I see so many like that across London with my own eyes and not "dem say dem say".

Ditto many Western megacities of the world like New York etal where waste disposal is an eternal challenge often the fault of unruly folks littering irresponsibly and dumping their refuse everywhere.

Yet your own instant and default conclusions is that "blacks indeed can't govern".

Whereas the Government of Lagos, despite huge challenges it faces because of over-rapid population explosion that will test the infrastructure of any city globally, continues to innovate to accolades from many West African nations coming to understudy what Lagos is doing well.

If you often settle upon the worst reason for judging yourself a failure, that is self-hatred and a tendency to look down on yourself or your kind since you have not considered anything else and went for what makes you seem inferior in comparison to others.

Applied to this scenario, a large part of the issue is to do with how filthy, thoughtless, irresponsible and lawless Nigerians are and not the failings of Lagos leaders.

Ahmed Bola Tinubu is the most incompetent and criminally corrupt President Nigeria has ever had. In fact, incompetence does not explain the dire situation Tinubu has put Nigeria. He is enriching his family with the destruction of Nigeria. Tinubu’s nephew, Wale Tinubu, is the primary importer of refined petroleum products into Nigeria, though Oando Petroleum, through OVH Energy Marketing Limited. They export Nigeria's clean sweet, crude, and import cheap, dirty petroleum products. Tinubu subsequently enacted energy policy that massively increased price of petroleum products, thereby, creating huge profit for his family - and caused miserable hardship for the country. How much wealth is enough tor Tinubu! Tinubu knows only bribery and corruption. And the only thing that matches Tinubu's insatiable greed for self-enrichment is lust for power. God bless you. Those who are not genuinely peaceful, responsible, tolerant, upright and moderate in outlook cannot continue fooling the world forever that those things are what they are and that the problem lies with others.

This development is an example with how they have always played victim to insist every insecurity in the SE is perpetrated by "Fulani DSS" and never IPOB or Igbos.

Instead they begin making excuses for IPOB retention of sit-at-home and blacklisting Soludo for doing the right thing they should all be supporting if 'calibrated' right.

Same people always attack FG for not crushing terrorist and bandits yet they make excuses when Soludo wants to deploy tough measures, as he is right to do, to end the illegal instruction of IPOB that should never have become virtually akin to Government law in the SE.

What is most shameful is that they have ready excuses for all that Obi does. Whereas normal and balanced folks fully understand that the actions an utterances of Obi confirm he will be a disaster as President.

The dude is not even competent enough to be a commissioner in Lagos State .

Is that all you have to say?
You wish this man to commit something that will implicate him but he is very smarter than you
Rubbish. What smartness can one ascribe to a man who claims he is "change" and a departure from the ruinous hands that have described Nigeria yet we see him going to prostrate for Malami, Gumi etal in their homes and domain?

But Omokiri said he went to the school in Chicago to get the all the information about Tinubu. why backtracking.
You guys love flogging dead horses which prevents you seeing the big picture. This isn't about Omokri backtracking.

It is about the victim here, I.e Tinubu, choosing to not act against Omokri's past slander against him, which effectively ends the matter, and his free choice to charge Sowore to court for the same offence.

If a lady refuses to charge a friend who slaps her for assault, then what is your business focusing on her whether her friend admitted guilt or not? Were you the one slapped?

Likewise, if she decides to charge the friend for assault what is the right of the assailant ( Sowore in Tinubu's case) claiming he should not have been charged with assault since someone else did same to her last year and she did not file assault charges against them?

This whole thing is rubbish and a clear indicator of how Nigerians are too extrovertedly invested in the business of others, that does not concern them, to then be taking sides.

Tinubu has decided who to charge and who not to over defamation of his character as is his right to do. End of story and Sowore need to learn his lesson and curb the cultist uncouthness and lack of decorum he is trying to force on Nigerian politics and public behaviour towards political figures.

What next after calling our President a "criminal" and such goes unchallenged? He will demand Nigerians conduct citizens arrest against President Tinubu?

Is this not how Kanu started till he spiralled into full-blown terrorism that cost many lives? Is this not how bandits and terrorists lawlessly threathen political leaders in the North? Sowore is a big disgrace.

Private and public figure who among citizens supposed to insult? You as tax payer citizens, you free to call out any leader, that in charge of nation treasury and security.
On what ground, you will insult private citizens o.
You can call out a public figure but you don't call them."criminals" or "Paedophile", "rapist" etal without proof because they can decide to prosecute you for defamation of character and the ruling will be in their favour 100% of the time if those making the allegation cannot provide proof to back their claim.

That many politicians choose to ignore the defamatory slurs against them does not mean no wrong has been done.

Just that it is not expedient to begin taking every member of the public to court when they defame your character maliciously.

Still, it is right and fitting Tinubu does so to a public figure who wants to become President yet believes the way to go about it is slandering all his opponents.

Why do you guys always want to insert your victim mentality into every national issue? Since the news broke out, it’s either you guys complaining that Yorubas are not calling the coup a northern coup or you’re all crying that nothing is being done to the plotters because they are not Igbo or oh, they should not involve your people.

You SE folks should quit this annoying behavior. This is a military issue and not about you. Stop trying to force yourself into this matter. Those who planned the botched coup will face the consequences irrespective of their ethnicity. So please, stop viewing every national issue with a tribal lens. Thanks.
It really is annoying. Over every damn matter as well to include those that does not concern them even remotely.

If Tinubu take back the ambassadoral position from you, you will swallow what you just said and say more. It won't surprise me if you now say Tinubu is a murderer!
One thing irritating with most of you Nigerians is how you overstep your boundaries making suggestions only a stakeholder should.

If Tinubu has the grace to forgive Omokri and even deploy him as leadership member of his Government then what is you own wahala? Is it not Tinubu's right to do so?

Tinubu and Omokri are cool now. That what matters and what Tinubu wants.

It is like my child damaging the TV I bought and you, a neighbour, insisting I flog the hell out of him whereas I am happy to view the development an accident to then forgive him.

did anyone force Reno to insult tinubu ? Lauretta onochei was insulting atiku like this , till she saw fire. Reno thinks everyone is like obi and tinubu. This fool will insult the wrong person someday and that would be it. Do you still hear of Lauretta the sycophant ? Even that Buhari could not protect her
Sowore is not intellectually robust anyway and he is just clutching at straws here. He cannot argue Omokri making defamatory allegations against Tinubu, who was a private citizen then, gives him justification to make defamatory statement against Tinubu the President of Nigeria to then claim Tinubu is a criminal meaning Nigeria is being led by a criminal.

It is Tinubu's prerogative at all times, with unique circumstances taken into account such as whether he was President at the time or not, who to prosecute or forgive of slander against him.

If some of you inspect issues thoroughly and without sentiments then the obvious should be obvious.
