dragunov:The poster you quoted is actually an Igbo individual. Not a Northerner. |
JealousCobra:75% is wildly exaggerated but PBAT will do much better in the SE this time around whether Obi is running or not. The dynamics on the ground confirms this. |
ArcSEMPECJ:That's what most of you Obidients use your brain for. Thinking of clever ways to insult others. Other than that, dormancy is the fate of the brain of the average Obidient when not engaging in attacking others. |
esnbrutality:Illiteracy, ignorance and a hateful soul are terrible. To find all those undesirables in one human being is truly tragic. |
AMINDA:You're a very 'amusing' human being. That's the best word I can use to describe you since forum won't allow more fitting tags. For you, a Southerner, to be a fan of Malami and be insinuating Tinubu is "witch-hunting" the worst and most corrupt AGF in the history of Nigeria just shows you are a very amusing chap. |
brain54:Absolutely. That is the very reason the war on terror will be difficult to win unless moneybag sponsors are targeted and jailed. The FG should also, as a matter of urgency, robustly seek a decentralised and more efficient fight against terror through quick delivery and deployment of State/regional policing , Forest guards etc. |
LegendHero:Baba, shey una see wetin I don't dey campaign for, to raise the awareness in our people, for a while now? Yorubas , throughout the history of Nigeria, always show moderation, tolerance ,wisdom and a lawful and peaceful disposition. We are different to others who lack some or all of the qualities above. This means we should be giving serious thoughts to how we must escape, asap, those who are very different to us and put us in existential danger because of these differences. Those creating terror groups up and down and threatening to fragment Nigeria violently are displaying the signs of mass-indoctrinated murderous anarchy that makes many in a group believe use of violence and killings is justified to gain what they want. The bolded in your post, i.e ideological difference of Nigerians, is what I have been insisting we all take into consideration to agitate for regional autonomy asap regardless of whether our own is President or not. No President can save Nigeria because we are too different ideologically and horrendously over what we most be have one united opinion of. Like punishment of serious crime, like terrorism, for example. The SE lot will argue innocence of IPOB, Kanu etal an day while Gumi presents Bello Turji and co as "neglected and wronged" Nigerians all of us need to appease. Whereas these big differences show we are in the category of nations with no homogeneity of ideas, related to major socio-economic considerations, that are then only marking time till they separate. The choice is whether we do it productively, consciously and sensibly through regional autonomy as we hosted before. Or we let things get worse, insisting secession is constitutionally treasonous yet we are not moving firmly for regionalism either, till the ethnic cleansing war that ravaged Rwanda becomes our reality. |
stanluiz:Lol. Why do you want Fulani bandits and terrorists to stay away when you already have ESN, UGM, Autopilots and so many factions of IPOB terrorising indigenes of the SE? You have you own internal and very worrying struggle with terror yet still gaslighting others. Do you guys reflect deeply at all before you rush to speak? |
esnbrutality:Don't be tagging me for these childish back and forth you lot engage in. At least know others and their consistent views/opinion before trying to solicit their attention. Below is what I want and will always advocate for because I know, within it, the SW will get it right and be exemplary in every aspect of socio-economic and security solutions she needs for herself and her people. We will never have terrorists let alone any exist to pardon. That's for you lot and Northerners to grapple with. Same way virtually every person from your region wanted your "innocent"messiah and brother Kanu be set free, by any means possible, is how the North and Fulanis too see the need for their brother's to be pardoned. Every time you ignorantly call Kanu and co "freedom fighters", do you not think North are saying same about their bandits and terrorists also? Gumi, Obi's best friend, even directly argues that case daily . Meaning it is you and Northerners who are the problem of Nigeria because you do not want a nation where a criminal is a criminal and a terrorists a terrorist regardless of ethnic or religious background. You both wish to pick and choose hence the reason Yorubas want regional autonomy to manage their affairs without lunatic 'one Nigeria' interference. In the meantime, go and carry placard at Katsina government house over a mindset that is exclusively Northern and mainly Fulani. Nothing to do with me or majority of Yoruba. If you will be calling out anyone, it should be your messiah Obi shamelessly famzIng Gumi, an apologist of terrorism always advocating amnesty and rehabilitation for hardened and genocidal killers, and Malami now a suspected sponsor of terrorism. You can't gaslight sensible Yorubas with your pedestrian mischief-making and duplicity considering the Southern stalwarts of Atiku and Fulani 2027 Presidency are majority Igbos. https://punchng.com/swest-govs-propose-six-regions-demand-lg-autonomy-resource-control/

RichBoy247:Well-said. We know the detractors of PBAT. I.e enemies of Nigeria's progress who do not mean well for our nation and have their personal reasons, all malevolent, for wanting Tinubu out of office. Most of us here are educated. Can we say we do not understand that Nigeria, for all the major and cumulatively crippling damages our nation has sustained over decades, needs fundamental reforms? Reform, that all leaders before Tinubu had neglected as you eloquently stated, which will be painful and must come with sacrifice yet will put on on the path of becoming a developed nation like Singapore? Singapore is one of the nations, in modern history, most like Nigeria. Squalid and economically dilapidated after misrule over a considerable period of time. They turned it around the way Tinubu is doing with deep, fundamental and structural changes that demanded Singaporeans endure and make sacrifices. They did and look at where they are today where Singapore is an economic powerhouse and it's passport is the most powerful in the world. Even as I know the answer, and to prove a point, I asked AI: "did singapore endure painful economic reforms to achieve the success it has today?" The answer is shown below that illustrates my point. We (1) either back PBAT to endure and sacrifice as Singapore did, so we begin our march towards greatness. Or (2) we return to our vomit with regressive and failed leaders incapable of brave, uncompromising and pro-people and pro-nation decision-making . I e the likes of Atiku, Kwankwaso, Amaechi, Goodluck Jonathan and Obi etal who will duck crucial reforms and return us to our horrendous past where ordinary Nigerians have essentials (petrol, education , electricity etc) subsided to hoodwink them into accepting lives that, comparatively, is worse than how pets of humans live in developed nations. One of the hallmarks of developed nations is long-term mortgages affordably within the reach of a considerable number of citizens. As one example of Tinubu's positively reformational and developmental thinking, Nigeria had nothing of the sort, I e long-term affordable mortgages, since 1999 and till Tinubu introduced the MREIF scheme with 20 year mortgage tenure and single digit interest rate slightly above 9%. When we have a President making crucially transformational progress like this that at least four Presidents before him had avoided, from 1999 to 2023, then what does this say about Tinubu's intention and the big picture concerning the liberation and development of Nigeria so we stand a chance of attaining the success Singapore has? Yes, Singapore underwent significant, often tough, economic reforms and strategic shifts, transforming from a resource-poor, developing nation with slums to a global economic powerhouse, characterized by strict policies, attracting foreign investment, industrialization, and continuous upgrading, though this success brought challenges like high costs and intense competition, notes SG101, IMF eLibrary, and Boya Century Publishing. Key painful elements included suppressing unions, cracking down on corruption, forced savings, and enduring rapid shifts from labor-intensive to knowledge-based industries, creating societal pressure.

tonyashburton:It will if Nigerians are awake to their civic duty. Nigerians must hold their local Government chairman and officials to account because this is far easier to do than is the case with Governors. Most likely the local Government chairman will live in his LGA and not Abuja. His office will be known and can become a daily protest ground citizens gathering to demand action over bad roads, healthcare, crime etc. We cannot keep heaping all blame on leaders without understanding and accepting that we too have a part to play in the delivery of good governance to all. If the citizens of developed nations are as lax and irresponsible as Nigerians are then their leaders will be no different to Nigerian leaders because human nature dictates that most leaders not held to account soon develop the belief they can do as they please to then become abusers of their position. Ditto how wrongdoers who are not punished commit more offences. |
Mr.President has really tried. He is doing things, in the best long term interest of Nigeria, never done before because (1) many leaders were benefiting from the broken system and/or (2) too weak to implements drastic but extremely crucial reforms. It is time for Governors to be patriotic and let LG Chairmen breathe as Mr.President cannot be in 36 States and the FCT, fighting their Governors and Minister respectively. The people of all LGAs of Nigeria have the duty also to hold their LG Chairmen to account because we all live in a local Government area before a State, a Federal Capital Territory and a nation. |
Burob:Lol. Well-spotted. When folks use laughing emojis too much or too frequently on social media, they are inwardly in pain, frustrated and bitter. That dude is fooling no one. Him and his co-travellers are petrified Jagaban will wipe the floor with their political messiah assuming Atiku and the treacherous born-to-rule lot don't chase Obi away again into the wilderness as they ran him out of PDP in 2022. |
Burob:Of course. Very predictable outcome. Jagaban declared landslide winner and all others in tears. |
You Obidients are so emotional and delusional. Reality means nothing to you guys. Where is that Truthera by the way who was starting fifty thread a day bragging Kanu will teach Nigerian law a lesson and shouting Nigeria about to be disgraced by Kanu in Court. You lot hype your non-entities and mediocrities too much. Obi and Atiku are no match for Jagaban in 2027. Accept that and prevent future heartache and depression . |
aswani:That's precisely what's in their wild imagination. Shame fantasy is not reality. |
Streetinvestor2:Bro, please fem about that "we only go to Lagos" discredited bull. Go to main cities in Ogun, Oyo etal and see Igbos living and working there , in normal jobs, while desperate to buy residential land to live and raise families. Very difficult engaging in talk with folks like you too far gone in tribal hatred of others to even be able to respect let alone admit the factual and proven truth. So all Igbos in Lagos are businessmen and importers who come to the State for the ports na? I did not even bother reading anything else you wrote once I saw the bolded and cringed because I thought that anyone shamelessly peddling this discredited lie is patently dishonest and unscrupulous thus cannot have anything sensible to say worth reading. |
Streetinvestor2:Your "worst enemies" yet you used your two feet waka to go and live with them in millions making the SW your second biggest home in the world aside your native SE? Who does that? I've set up home with their "worst enemies" to make their land their second biggest abode aside their own nation home. What you are saying is ludicrously akin to Americans making Iran, North Korea or Afghanistan their second biggest home, outside the USA, in the universe. The problem with you guys is that their is hardly anything you do or say not tainted negatively by sentiments and emotions. |
ChiefOloye:Lol. Even up to the level of famzing Gumi, Malami etal. He was just about to meet Bello Turji before Trump began his anti-terrorist display. Obi is a joke TBH. Nothing at all likeable or commendable, from a leadership perspective, about the dude. |
Vinnie2000:This show of nauseating sycophancy and hypocrisy is "news"? Who is unaware "Yes Daddy" despises Muslims and Islam? Conversely, who would those born-to-rule hegemonist, gathered with Obi, choose to be President if it must be a Southerners other than the weakest and most cowardly Southern Politician they are 100% sure they can bully and cage into inaction and subservience even worse than GEJ? Do some people who praise GEJ, when Obi is Jonathan 2.0, not feel shame Jonathan could not touch Fuel subsidy removal, floating of Naira, Tax reforms, Lagos-Calabar Coastal highway, State policing and much, much more as Tinubu has now done and continues to do? If not tribalism killing Nigeria, should Southerners not now have adequate proof, from what Tinubu has achieved so far despite the anger and protestations of the North, that PBAT must be the template for what a Southern President must be from this point on, if the whole of Nigeria is to ever escape the regressive and unprogressive leadership of the North, and never the likes of easily-cowered weaklings from the South like GEJ or Obi? |
Lanretoye:Lol. True that. Otherwise you'd be a very bad apprentice if you can't lamba like a pro after learning under the best at it in the entire universe. "Yes Daddy" himself. |
Great0ne1:No one has ever said IPOB murderous menace has been exported beyond the SE as Northern terrorism, supported by many radical and fundamentalist players outside our nation, has become a menace to the whole Nigeria. That does not mean Nigeria turn a blind eye to the illegal, anarchic and murderous menace IPOB has become to the SE that is still a geographical space subsisting under the rule of law governing Nigeria. That you guys can never understand this simple concept is worrying and confirmation you are not far behind the murderous Mullahs up North in terms of being innately lawless and disregarding of the rule of law guiding existence and evolution of peaceful and cohesive society. You are not better than them in so far as the rules are clear yet you and Northerners disregard them murderously. Freeing murderers and rapists from prison, for example, to then recruit them to kill and subjugate Igbos, makes IPOB and Kanu better than Bello Turji and bandits how? |
Good and unprecedented development. Next is their prosecution and imprisonment. We must stop fearing and indulging the North, because of elections, if we truly desire a great nation that will be the pride of black people worldwide as the biggest black nation on Earth. Imagine if Nigeria is doing spectacularly well like Singapore or Dubai. Our nation would be a Mecca attracting the most brilliant and innovative investors and solutions-providers globally to strengthen Nigeria's place in the world as the sole black economic superpower on Earth. The world, thanks to the lunatic Trump, is now becoming more sympathetic towards helping Nigeria escape the murderous menace and retrogression of the North they now see is more ideologically aligned with their Sahel nation brothers than to Nigeria they are a geographical part of. Tinubu must capitalise on this because, while we do not hate the North and Northerners, we must understand we cannot go down with them. We only wish they reform, from their leaders downwards, to be progressive, peaceful , more entrepreneurial and self-determinant so that Nigeria can have a consistent and homogenous template of development every people and region of Nigeria subscribe to. As things stand, Southern Nigeria separation from the North is becoming more attractive to the world because they see the region is holding Nigeria back and has no interest in reforming to join the mainstream direction needed to propel Nigeria towards developed nation status. David Hundeyin, see below, alluded to this directly. I am not his fan yet I can concede he may not be wrong here. Nigeria and progressive Nigerians have a big choice to make. I.e leave behind the North, that appears hopeless and happy to revel in murderously disruptive regression of our nation, that will ensure we never develop optimally commensurate to our endowment, or keep indulging them hoping they will change for the better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxlnGuCL274?si=rvovuuxbDyM9oRjI |
DomPerignon:The bolded said it all. Nothing more to add explaining the aberrant nature of those people |
Mrchippychappy:Stop turning Trump into some superman meet Batman type hero. Others can help us but it is Nigerians only that can end terrorism if/when that is what all Nigerians want. The USA has failed in many cases at efforts to 'liberate' nations because they never make the effort to understand dynamics and realities on the ground that means going into a Nation and attempting to give it American values, by force, is simplistic at best and can be catastrophic (Iraq and Afghanistan for example) at worst.
|
Cherrybae:One of them has already to be demanding of Tinubu what we all know they are the least likely to accord non-Igbo Nigerians. I dare any Yoruba to go and seek a job in the civil service of any SE State. franchasng: |
franchasng:And why would that be a problem? Who did Buhari surround himself with and who will Obi surround himself with, given how clannish you lot are, if President? You people are always demanding standards of behaviour from the SW that Nigeria has never adopted across the board. I cannot blame you. It is Yorubas and the SW who have set the bar too high with their accommodating, tolerant, inclusive and progressive character in a nation of bigoted, openly hateful, prejudiced and murderously intolerant people and regions. |
Omowale2023:Obvious now you're just catching cruise Friday night. Go and sit down bro. Do something productive with your time than making redundant attempt to twist and warp reality. |
Omowale2023:That argument could have been made in 2023 when a lot of naive and gullible non-Igbo Southerners, seeking good governance, believed the Obidient movement was a platform for change and not an Igbo Presidency project. Rhey know better today. Pleade feel free to keep deluding yourself. We will see how many Yoruba Obidients remain in 2027 and ready to go to the poll to give Obi even 10k votes in the SW. |
Omowale2023:Lol. Do you know who Obidients are? Was Kenneth Okonkwo not the quintessential Obidient yet now passionately behind Atiku because he is bitter Obi does not seem to have what it takes to grab the Presidency and put Yorubas in their place? Why is Okonkwo campaigning for Atiku and trying to get Southern votes for him at the expense of Tinubu, Obi and all other Southerners? Remember Okonkwo, a Southerner and with many others like him existing, is passionately behind the North to cheat the South and grab power whereas the South respected and supported the rotation agreement to allow Buhari and the North have 8 years in powe.Answer that if you can. I don't know why you are making a fool of yourself like this with your utterances to include the bolded which is just a macabre joke that indictates you must be from Mars. Not Earth and definitely not Nigeria. |
TokoEkambi:Indeed. Nothing worse in life than those who love playing to the gallery and trying to be all things to all men. Even Obidients admit here that they are happy for the North to grab power in 2027 than "Yoruba President" continue in office. Many never denies they are okay with even Bello Turji becoming President so long as "Yoruba President is deposed from office. That is how much they hate Yorubas. It is then really funny this "Omowale" is holding brief for Obidients who have called for coup to oust Tinubu, demanded his wife poison him and asked Trump to invade Nigeria and 'Maduro' our President. Obvious Nigeria is heading for a break-up for sure and Yoruba will show we are the heartbeat of this nation others have taken for granted for so long yet will be totally lost without. |
