Kendra is heavily pregnant now, she'll be due on the 5th-8th of October.
I've been taking pictures of her weekly stomach growth, she has also dropped in energy levels and she's always hiding in the kennel.
She has also started lactating

Roscoe turned 2 years old 1st of this month but I was too busy to post on the actual day
Happy birthday boy, 2years of no sickness or accidents, I can't even remember where I kept his green card because I have only used it twice for vaccination
And about the Chelsea and Roscoe litter, I've been asked by people to post litters here, I know dreazy23 and Vincentjk will be happy
Chelsea gave birth to 10 pups on Sunday last two weeks, the litter is still immature for now but I'll try to follow up as they grow.

Hello petlanders... In 2-3 weeks DORA will be anticipating her New litter, she has really been feeding excessively, I'm beginning to watch her weight as are tummy protrude more when she feeds. She has been active all through her pregnancy, I had to limit her exercise,if given any moment she tends to run like she isn't loaded,this alone gets me worried for her, I had to restrict her always by putting her on leash
Also she's been so protective, I brought in a Female BB for a friend, she was so caring and protective of her that no one dears go close to her aside myself.
I hope she won't be aggressive when she finally whelps, as I've not been home often.

Now:

- She sits to wait for her food.

- She eats neatly from her plate. No remnants on the floor.

- She even knows when I start cooking.

- She enjoys her baths. Once I pick brush, soap and towel she's happy.

- She goes on walks with me without her leash. She just simply walks and runs along depending on my pace. She doesn't mind other dogs or animals around she just moves on.

- She knows the way home from Abuja-Kaduna expressway (our house in the estate is less than 10minutes leisure walk from the express).

Its all about the temperament. If your dog is the type that growls at you when eating or try to take its food it will probably not allow touching of brand new pups.

Even in my case i was apprehensive and not sure if she will not allow..however upon birth of the first pup outside i called her in and brought the pup in with her so i knew she was ok with me touching them. Even now at two days if i touch any she follows my movement with her nose so i am still careful.

In my younger days i had an alstian mix that would give bloodcurdling growls if you came near her and her litter.

If shes like that dont worry after some time as the pups become less fragile she will allow you to touch them. If you really need to touch them, you can lure her away with food or water then lock her there and quickly do what u want to do with the pups before you release her

Trixie is a really good mum and a great dog (towards her owner) too. The pups are just enjoying suck brestand sleep..22 hrs sleep a day no be play oo

I already know the kind of dog I have ,I should have blind folded the kernel leaving little space for vetilation through out that period of the pregnancy, then I realized later when am not around my mum used to let her out probably to urinate or poo from the kernel so she will start running around and jumping high immedietely after she poo/urinate she doesn't listen to my mum definitely she wouldn't stop until she has exhaust that energy, it's only me or my sister she obey , normally if I was around personally I take her out with leash to urinate or poo during the early stage of the pregnancy so she doesn't have the time to run/jump high but because i was very busy with work towards the middle stage of the pregnancy and I was coming late
The loss of the pregnancy was attributed to too much stress and that too much jumping
If she's pregnant again , I would blindfold the kernel leaving small space for vetilation under to prevent her from seeing vistor that would force her to bark and jump, if am not around she would poo/urinate there whenever I come back I would clean the place myself.

oh okay
to tackle food aggression you have to show the dog that you have the authority to take away his food at any time.
it's best done when the dog is still a pup.
before you feed the dog, give it the sit command and do not drop the food until it's sitting.
then while it's eating, take away the food and do not drop it until the dog is obeying you and sitting again.
this will show the dog that you have the power to take away it's meal at any time and with time, even as the dog is an adult you can simply pick up it's plate while eating and it'll sit and wait for you to drop it back instead of growling or biting you.
another way is to put your hand into the dog's mouth frequently to desensitize the dog to you taking things from it's mouth.
you'll appreciate this when it's time to give tablets or you have to pull out something dangerous from your dog's mouth.
once in a while, give your dog something and put your hand in it's mouth and take it back, then don't return it until the dog is sitting and waiting for you to return it.
then another method is to put your hand in your dog's meal to drop things the dog likes so the dog will associate your hands in it's food with something good.
if you do all this, even as an adult, your dog will let you take and put anything inside it's mouth of plate.
