don't u know guys are possesed when it comes to that stuff. A guy who comes to visit his girlfriend is hungry and when she askes him "Will u eat first" he replies, i'll eat u first. Imagine!
To guys, sex is food, their life, and often their death. So your question has to do with the "in the heat of the moment" factor. he probably thinks the babe'll dissappear back to where he picked her from if he wastes a minute trying to store the thing well, just the same way he yanks off her clothes, not minding if they get torn and he has to replace them when the storm is over cry

quote from Igbonla
You paid because you really wanted to make that trip. What if you forfeited the trip simply because you wont pay bribe? How much sacrifice are you willing to make for the battle against corruption? We can keep shouting and screaming but those guys will keep demanding and collecting the bribes until we start refusing to give.

So what alternative or battle against corruption will you give to someone who says an official attempts to implant cocaine on him for money? Should he, for the sake of anti-corruption, refuse to pay and go to jail?

Yes, just get evidence on ur phones and report to the necessary authorities. Even without evidence, petitions can be submitted at info@efccnigeria.org and they will be attended to. Let's not just complain, do something (positive) about it!!

This is not that serious please. Bottom line, we are trying but we also need lots of improvement!
Better! every body's trying, not even Hollywood is perfect, and what the hell! Holly wood and NollyWood aren't agemates. We should appreciate what we have while we pray for the best, afterall if given the opportunity to do something about our situation, not many of us will do any better. Let's watch and see where Naija movie industry will be by the time it's as old as the Nollys and Bollys.

@dee02
sorry if u think u can intimidate me with ur blabber dash. I'll forgive u coz people like u have eyes at the back of their heads. But points of correction:
1. Incase u're looking for a partner in crime, count me out. Not all Nigerians are gay like u, so am no lesby since u're a homo. I guess they pay u for doing that in London and u sometimes do it with dogs and cats. Kai, u are the Nigerians tarnishing our reputation abroad.
2. Am so sorry am not married yet. But it doesnt mean am available for yahoo-yahoo guys like u. If u have nothing else to do abroad, forward ur CV to me and i'll help u get a job.
3. Next, i no dey chop fufu because i don't like it, and moi-moi, hmm it's sweet and its Nigerian so i love it just the way i love Nigerian movies and everything Nigerian. No need to pretend, if you miss it, come back to Naija and have a taste.
Useless critic! U sit wherever u claim u are and launder ur mouth, thinking u're laundering Nigeria. What have u ever done to better its lot and how much do they pay u to blackmail this country?
PoliticsRe: Waziri's Appointment Confirmed! by Wokeyim(op): 5:05pm On Jun 05, 2008
@vigasimple
Also i am not sure the senate knows what they are doing either. RIBADU has not been formally removed with any of the reasons within the provision of the constititution. That say's much for our President yar A'dull and his rule of law due process nonesense. he can't even follow simply due process of the constitution.

I really wonder how far the anti-corruption war in Nigeria can go with the sort of National Assembly we have. Heard on news that the freedom of Information bill which has been lying at their feet for a while now is being tossed up and down. They are pretending like they've not seen it yet. Kai! The guilty will always be afraid. Methinks all the Civil society organizations and NGOs in Naija need to carry out a demonstration march to our dear national assembly.
PoliticsWaziri's Appointment Confirmed! by Wokeyim(op): 7:30pm On Jun 04, 2008
Hello naira-landers. Aunty Farida Waziri has finally been confirmed today as the new EFCC boss. I wonder what the unnecessary delayance all the while was for, when Nigerians already knew what to expect. We are anxiously awaiting her resumption. Good luck wink, Fari baby.

@ deeo2, maxidoe, dflash and all such dumb people on nairaland. What exactly makes you think your Hollywood movies are better than our Nigerian movies?
Talking about stereotyped roles, what about
James Bond always acting the hit and run guy in so fake and unrealistic scenes all the time,
Julia Roberts always performing some fake action roles,
Van Dam who never dies (as if that is possible),
Sharon Stone, same old classical prostitute,
Eddie Murphy, our quintessential mumu, don't u seen the way he smirks and grins unnecesarily,

the list can go on and on and on, and u are here talking about stereotypes. Who is more gulity of stereotypes than our hollywood actors - grand partners in crime!
My friend, instead of insulting people who have discovered their talent and made the best use of it, better go and discover urs. If you feel u can make a better Eddie Murphy - because that is what ur pix looks like - join the Nigerian movie industry. Who knows, you just might be the 1 to change it. All of u Americanas wanna be

Very 4ni @ LANKAYE

I Understand what u mean but i know of sm1 that came out with 3rd class,
really we kept askin her what happened with her.
when she was in school she was one of d best student in her dept
infact she was leading, so most tyms it's not that they r Daftl may be they over did things.
really not every one who grads with a three is dumb. sometimes the course and the school/lecturers contribute. i know someone whose father is a professor, mother an academic doctor of maths, and the children, if u wake them up with maths in the morning, them go everly answer u correct. they are smart kids, her sister was the best graduating stud in my sec. school. Now this girl studied physics, ask any one who has been in Unical what physics department in that school is. The lecturers are WICKED. This girl graduated with a 2.2, and guess what? she was the best graduating student in her class.
Now I know someone else who finished from Chemistry with a 3rd. Chemistry, Physics and Pol. Science depts for that school, their lecturers don swear say person no go ever make 2.1 there. Smartest kid in her class and went to school quite young. She cried when she got her result, but her father told her not to worry, coz he knew her worth. She's now in the manager of some HIV NGO and is seeing big cash, going abroad and coming back coz she's got the brains. It's not necessarily the paper.

@ poster
Every one is advising u to get certificates, PGDs and so on. But u know what i'll say?,
Start another 1st degree afresh if u're so bothered about the 3rd class stuff grin

@ Obiem.
Guy u're right. Wole Soyinka graduated with a 3rd class but went abroad to school and graduated with a FIRST class. So it all boils down to the Nigerian Education system and environment. I can tell u firmly that not all first class and 2.1's are the smartest, using myself as an example. I made a very high 2.1, almost a first class. I wouldn't say am dumb but they're still smarter guys in my office with 2.2's and so on. I was the typical "copy and Paster"our bros referred to, u know we just read to pass exams and i knew how to do that well. So bros, garner more certificates, a PGD, masters and so on, and it will be well. U can also go into business, start a company and all that, if u don't believe in yourself.

GOD DEY!!!
FashionRe: Is It Ok For Men To Wear Coloured Suits Such As Red, Yellow, Purple, E.t.c? by Wokeyim(f): 9:10am On May 14, 2008
U guys mentioned ash, grey, black dark blue and brown as cool colours for guys - agreed! But you forgot that green also has shades. A dark green (forest green) suit can also look good on a guy.

, but wow, bright coloured suits! no way!
He won't just end up looking like an Igbo man or a Nolly wood actor. He'll end up looking like KOK - Kanayo O. Kanayo, one of our great Nollywood actors. For those of u who watch Nigerian movies have u eva seen KOK on a black/dark coloured suit? If u have, Please tell me. All the guy does is Pink, Yellow, Red and White Suits. O boy, na wa oh!.

I think really no go areas for men when it comes to suiting up - even for shirts - are PINK, YELLOW, ORANGE, RED and LEMON.
Nigerian brothers, beware of these colours.
