mekky316: Please i have a problem with my laptop, whenever i finish booting it and i click on my computer folder or any other folder on the computer desktop, theres always a pop up window that appears asking me if i want to delete the folder to the recycle bin and also if i open MS Word to type a document, if i type a word or words the cursor keeps deleting all i typed on it own when i never clicked on the delete key. Plz what is the problem and how can i get rid of this 'cos it really socks and is so annoying please someone help!

I can bet you do not have an Antivirus installed. This is characteristic of a virus infested device. Download the kasparsky virus removal tool from here http://www.autoevolution.com/testdrive/mclaren-mp4-12c-test-drive-2013.html and run. Afterwards install a genuine antivirus software of your choice.

Wen u turn it on, do you see the Acer logo? If yes den at what point does it go blank? If no, den its either the screen flex is weak or your screen malfunctioning.

B4 U do dat however, plz ensure that the current one is properly inserted. I hav seen a situation where a client mistakenly removed the drive and didn't insert back properly and so d drive wasing working.

Too many apps and processes starting up. Click start and type sysconfig in yo search prompt and press enter. From the sysconfig dialogue prompt, click on startup tab and you will see the apps that will startup wen you start yo PC. You can disable as much as many apps from starting up with the PC by clicking the checkbox in front of the app U wanna disable then click OK in the end and restart.

NOTE: do exactly as I stated above ooooo else sysconfig can hurt you PC more if you do the wrong tin.

While on Terminals I have Intel 1.8Ghz X 2 as minimum with 3GB RAM, 140 Hard drive)

Firewall configured to suit my quickbooks POS.

But the cause of the slowness is what I dont know.

How is your network connected? What type of switch or router are u using? It may be network. Related issue.

I mistakenly damaged my f12 button which is the wireless button.now I cant turn the wireless on resulting on my inability to browse.

I even tried to replace the whole keyboard but I was told its not possible.

Is there any other option on how the wireless can be turned on?

Control panel > Windows Mobility centre > Turn wireless ON

Then run.

Then type in control userpasswords2

(FYI note.) Yes. There is a space between the word control and userpasswords2

Once that command is made, UN check-mark the box users must enter a name and password to use this computer.

Click APPLY and then OK.

A dialog box will appear asking which user(s). If you are the sole user (Administrator) enter your user-name and password this one time will forever free you of logging in to access your desktop

Restart the PC and press the F11 key as it is restarting. This will take you to the restore menu instead of booting. There; you can den choose any options you want before restore.

Note: this will only work wen U have your restore partition intact.

Else you would need to fully reinstall the operating system from scratch with ORIGINAL OS.

Is it discoverable but dose oda devices and can it also discover oda devices?

It could be setting adjustment needed, driver reinstallation or outright replacement; your answer will determine your option.

The old installation is still in the registry. Cleanup the registry of unnecessary files and reinstall. There is a freeware REGCURE that can help U wit dat. Some antivirus also have that service, eg Bitdefender.

P/S software piracy is bad ooooo, esp wen U r using it for your biz.

Bros your PC is not ok if it overheating. Please just put your hand on the left hand side while the PC is turned on. Do U notice if the fan is blowing heat from the vent? If not then sometin is wrong wit the fan. Kindly visit a gud Engineer to help U.
