Right-click on MY COMPUTER, and click manage.

In the computer management dialogue box, click on DEVICE MANAGER.

Locate the Bluetooth device and click on the drop-down. If it is installed you will see the name and type of your bluetooth device. If not you will see a yellow error icon.

Now if it's now installed don't worry, just rigth-click on the error icon and click on properties.

A new dialogue box appears, the click on the DRIVER tab. Find and click on UPDATE DRIVER.

NOTE: ensure your PC is on the internet while doing this.

Better still go to your PC manufacturer's website and download the driver.

oabusewa: I used my pc to watch a copied movie, when the film ended, i did't put off the system until the battery went down.I later charged the battery, the system was on but it did't display on the screen.Another observation is that the caplock light is blinking continuosly.I pluged it directly without battery the same problem appeared. pls what can i do.

Boss what is the laptop model?
This may be caused by several things. We're you experiencing overheating before the issue started?

Have you tried starting it in SAFE MODE?
( restart-press F8 during restart and choose the option 'boot to safe mode without network')

Abeg before you restart, check and ensure that you don't have any movies CD in the DVD drive. If you do now, please remove it and restart the PC normally.

Try these options 1st let see.

Do an update of all your network, graphic and sound drivers. The problem should be solved.

Whatever you do, DO NOT GO TO MSCONFIG and REGISTRY unless you are a techie or you have extra money to:

- buy new PC
- pay a technician for fix it.

Have your PC even been infected by a Virus which doesn't allow you to start your browser, or run another program, or even install new app?

Then I recommend the kasparski Virus removal tool. Its free and easily install-able.
Its installation writes nothing to the OS registry, hence virus cannot hinder it's installation.

After scanning and removing the virus however download and install the Microsoft Security Essential antivirus and ensure it is regularly updated.

You can't. You have to reinstall the OS.

Your laptop is not starting up because the boot partition is partially formatted.

Do U still have another partition? If YES, install your operating system in there and format the old partition after boot up.

If NO, then you have to remove the HD and slave it on another PC then format. Or connect the HD to another PC using a SATA - USB converter then format before use.

Tunnex From all the above answers to the questions asked by my people, I believe the issue is that of failing hard disk. You should consider backup and replacement of the hard disk. I have just resolved the same issue in my office 2 days ago.

Before you repair try this last tin.
- press Alt+Ctrl+Del
- click on START WINDOWS TASK MANAGER
- on th task manager dialogue box click on FILE and then NEW TASK from the drop down.
- In the CREATE NEW TASK dialogue box, type explore.exe and click OK.

Your desktop icon should come up immediately. If it doesn't restart and try all d process one more time.

Bro the truth is dat there is no fool-proof way to determine which is best, as all of the companies offering d service in naija are impeded by many issues.

As a user U have to consider several factors b4 choosing.

1. Location: where u stay. Modem dat work for me may not have reception at your own area. where do u stay?
2. Budget: The very best broadband ISPs are quite expensive. How much are you willing to pay monthly?
3. Technology: USB or Wifi modem. The later will require external power source and not quite mobile, but it has better reception.
