He’s a self-made tech mogul worth billions, but that didn’t stop Google co-founder Sergey Brin from riding the New York City subway this weekend. Brin, 39, who ranks No. 20 on Forbes’ annual list of most powerful people, may have blended in on the downtown-bound No. 3 train in his jeans and pullover were it not for his futuristic, high-tech glasses.
A tech buff said he spotted Brin, who now heads up special projects for Google, riding the subway wearing a prototype of the much-buzzed about glasses from Google's Project Glass, which are promised to overlay digital information on the physical world.

"Yeeeah… I just had a brief conversation with the most powerful man in the world. On the downtown 3 train," Noah Zerkin, a self-proclaimed "wearable computing and augmented reality enthusiast," tweeted with a photo of Brin in the glasses. “Nice guy.
Brin was wearing - or presumably testing - the glasses, which are billed as searching the Internet and showing you anything you need, right in front of your eyes, from maps of where you are to the weather forecast if you look up. You can connect the glasses to a phone via Bluetooth and use the phone's 3G or 4G connection. There's also a camera on the front that can take photos of whatever you are seeing; you can share the photos instantly.
Noah Zerkin, a self-proclaimed "wearable computing and augmented reality enthusiast," said he was the first to spot Brin.

jiggar: Pls i really need help from all d gurus in da house. I want to partition my harddisk which is about 103GB and i have used 74.6GB left with 28.4GB. Now the main issue, i want to partition d disk to use the remaining to instal windows 8 and i have Easeus partition master professional, but how do go about it, without causing any problems?
Any help will be highly appreciated, i am attaching screenshots, for clarity. Thank u all for ur help.

I have never used a software to partition of a hard disk b4, but i have seen a colleague do it. However i am guessing that you are not using win Vista or win7, because those two OS's have the ability to do it without anyother app.

Start-right click on COMPUTER- Click MANAGE- from the computer mngt dialogue box click on DISK MANAGEMENT- Right click on the drive that you want to partition and click on SHRINK VOLUME- the system will tell you how much space can be carved out of the existing space and ask you to authorize the action- once its done you will see a new partition marked inactive- right click on the new partition and decide wat you wanna do about it(make active, further partition, rename etc) after this you should be good with your new partition.

NOTE: only on Vista and Win7 are these steps possible.

Bros please do an audit of your PC softwares. You must have more apps installed than your processor can run. Uninstall any app U do not use, do disk defregmentation and cleanup.

mdsocks: you can trt and remove the hard disk and get a 3.5 hdd casing to test it and copy your files....320gb shouldnt be more than 10k.

can you show a screenshot of the error.
Did you install an antivirus called 'Antivirus 2012', if you did; sorry bro U have installed a VIRUS.

adewasco2k: i will give you a shallow guide believe you are savvy enough to catch...in case of any further question, just come back here.

1. Create a New Partition from the Windows 7 Hard Disk Drive (you will shrink your hard disk from disk management, then create new partition)but i will advice you read up windows XP and 7 minimum requirements, you will not have problem if you have enough disk space.

2. After creating a partition take note of the name, then install windows XP on that partition with a genuine CD (you will be asked to select a partition to install it to in the process)

3. After installation you wouldn't be able to logon to windows 7 just yet, so on your newly installed windows XP install the .NET Framework 2.0 and the you need a program to repair the boot file of your windows 7 its called EasyBCD its a freeware which can be downloaded here
install the .NET Framework first to be able to download the EasyBCD, so run the EasyBCD that will help to repair the Windows 7 boot file and add XP to the Windows Boot Manager list.

4. On the EasyBCD On the left side, click on the Add New Entry button,
-In the top section under Operating Systems, click on the Windows tab
-To the right of Type, select Windows NT/2k/XP/2k3 from the drop down menu.
-To the right of Name, you can leave the default Microsoft Windows XP as the name to be displayed in the Windows Boot Manager, or you can type whatever name you would like to have instead.
-Click on the Add Entry button
-On the left side of EasyBCD, click on the BCD Deployment button, select (dot) the Install the Windows Vista/7 bootloader to the MBR option, and click on the Write MBR button.

5. restart and you will have option to select which OS to boot into


Okay i know you might be scared of the steps, its easy when you are on it that as stated.

I hope some other gurus in the house can help drop a simpler step to follow, this are the steps i also follow when doing that and i have never stumble on any problem so far.

NB for the EasyBCD software, at the bottom of the site you will see registration for free users (non-commercial purpose)

Configuring your Pc for Multi-booting is not for non-techies. You can actually damage your Win7 installation If you don't get it right.

Follow the above steps religiously and U will be fine.

N.B: Ensure that you backup your PC before starting. Also ensure that you do not tamper with your recovery partition.

This may be your key to getting back to normal life if things get outta hand.

adewasco2k: now if i get you well, your AC adapter and battery are not compatible? first!!! is that the original battery and charger that came with your PC? Mind you! you might be damaging your motherboard if the power adapter is outputting incorrect voltage, so your PC shuts down to prevent damages.
so try this.
1. Try using a known working power adapter, you can borrow one to troubleshoot, but make sure its same voltage with yours.
2. Try a known working battery on it to.
3. Try to reduce the performance and brightness of your PC or probably disable the graphic card and see.
If problem persist, i suspect a board problem.

You are actually correct. He should carry out the troubleshoot 1st den we can proceed from the outcome. I also suspect that the battery could be damaged.

There is the reason for the slowness. How many partitions do U have? Just free the C: a little let your PC breathe.

Various reasons could be the cause:

- low RAM (wat is the size of the RAM)
- Virus (do you have an AV installed, if yes; wat type and is it updated regularly?)
- Too many applications or quite "heavy" apps running).how many apps are installed, and determine if there are those of them that can take up a significant part of your system resources.
- Low Hard Disk space.

We need to ascertain which of the options is really the issue, b4 a solution can be proffered.
Provide the above answers and the cause of the wahala will be made manifest.

There are 2 things U can do:

-Get a file format converter. I have one I can spare if U r in Lag. I have also researched a free software that can do same. You can download it here: http://www.neftojpg.com/
- get a photo viewer that can view that file format.I think Win 7 & 8 can view the format by default.

As always I recommend a paid software. This gives U much more options and functionality. That's not to say that d free AV is not gud enuf. U also need to know that no AV will give U a 100% protection. So you best protection against virus is U.

It is all abt the way U use the computer. Be careful wit wat sites U go to and wat drives U allow to be used on it.

Plz buy any of the following that I have used and trusted over the years:

- BitDefender
- Kaspersky
- Norton
- Avira(free but U need to keep it regularly updated)

If you take my advice I can bet U will never have a virus issue anymore.

Emzybrown: thankz boss i have final resolved and repair my lappy and flash drive,i did it through thorough using google,thanks to google i have so many peepz with same probz with me,so the white guru on many site did help me tackle the deadly malware autorun.inf its hides file and convert them with same name with .exe,the ish is dat the virus cant be detected or deleted by some of our nonupdated antivirus,flash driver disinfector wont work on windows7,i used autorun eater software to detect the malware buh cnt delete it,so i did stop the malware frm running tru windows taskbar status, blocked using windows firewall,and also deleted frm regedit and disabled from msconfig.
Hahaha now am free frm the malware,so how can i prevent future reoccurence?

Get a gud antivirus...wat U did is an ingenious way to stop the Virus from running. It still has to be removed. To prevent a re-occurence, always scan any USB stick U wanna use on yo lappy.

Treat your device nicely people....se you see all the wahala U have to go tru to resolve this problem.

mercylicious: Thanks for your response. The issue doesn't keep happening to a particular pc, I manage close to 120Pcs, so Its on different pcs.
The error message is ;
C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\SYSTEM file is missing or corrupt
I have both d restore cd and OS. I also have win xp which I use to repair pc's, bt this particular model of hp- 6000pro small form factor is d one giving me issues. Has anyone fixed this particular model? And also 6200pro sff?. If u use d option of bootable, after loading the os frm cd, it will tell u an error occured, either from a recent hardware or ....
I've tried slaving it and copying files frm dt path on a working pc, bt it can't be copied.
Please any further advise.

I have resolved this issue before. I actually tot my method was crude and silly back then but now I see that it wasn't.

After going tru all the above stated options:

I looked for a perfectly healthy PC of the same model and slaved its HD then copy out the required file.

I then slaved the faulty PC's HD and copied the missing files into them. Se you understand sha. If not send me sms on o8o23996132 hope U have BB I will send U ma PIN. Then we can work together, but only in the evenings.

make sure you have previously followed all wolebaba advice.
make suure you're asking the antivirus to point to the right
usb stick and not your compu..hard drive. have you tried malwarebyte ?

do you have sgns like recycle $ sign on the usb stick
if at the end of the day nothing happens.Last resort

click start and run and type in cmd a black bnox should appear
Once all d infected files are removed from d pen drive,
go to command prompt or CMD on your computer and run the
following DOS command. Here we assume that the Flash drive
is G: drive. If its not G: then replace G with correct letter
as applicable.
ATTRIB -H -R -S /S /D G:\*.*

or

Click on the Windows Start button.
Click on Computer or My Computer tab. It
will show your Flash drive icon there.
Right click on your flash drive and choose Properties.
Click on Tools
On the new dialog box, under Error checking
to fix your flash drive, Click Check Now button.

Thne test it

Be careful sir when using Command prompt to reset the attributes of a file, ensure that you type the command as indicated above. Also ensure that you know the drive letter for your flash.

Do U have good internet access? This very necessary for remote desktop.
Do you have the teamviewer app? Download and install the app on your desktop,send me the ID and password.

You original files are still there hidden and replaced by the .exe files.

To Restore your files:

Start-All programs-accessories-System tools- system restore
you will see a dialogue box on restore. (Choose a date before the Virus started its wahala)
OK and your system will be restored.

to see your files:

open the flash drive.
click on the "tools" tab then click on "folder option" from the drop down.
From the folder option dialogue box, click on the view tab and check the "show all files,folders and drives" option.
click OK.

you should now see all your hidden files and copy them out.

SIM cards are configured to work on fones. If you wanna use it on anyother device you need to get advise from the service providers.
