Thank you.
My offer is still intact but was scared with paying tuition fees reading of the high rates of rejection

NB1912:

You shouldn't be affected if you already have an offer, However, I have heard of a few Uni's cancelling offers that have already been issued. I have no information on this.

Hello Wonder1844,

Is work an essential component of your study? Answer yes, if the study has WIL. If it's for your daughter, answer no.

For the second, answer yes.

Thank you so much.

My question is, if all other funds are available will the student loan of $24800 affect my application?

JustMellow:

Hello Wonder1844,

Your question isn't clear to me properly, but from what is understood, your funds are adequate and enough to show POF for the 1st year of stay in Canada. Do well to explain any lump sum and provide the applicable supporting document.

It's a self sponsorship.

Bobomaigida:

Please can you shed more light on this, the living expense money for two people is not as high as this.

Please will $24800 (34,000CAD) be too much from a tuition fees of 42000CAD, living expenses of 52000CAD and 4000CAD travelling expenses for me andy wife?

I am getting a letter from my office that I will be allowed to work remotely and over 50% of my salary.

Hello Darasire1028,

Wonder1844 already posted the link. Applying is pretty straightforward after reading through the MPower website. Ensure that the MPower study loan doesn't make up the bulk of funds to be demonstrated.

If your bank account has sparse inflows and a low-sitting balance, it could weaken your ability to show adequate financial sufficiency and economic establishment.

How about those with an offer already?

NB1912:

This information is not true. However, universities have tightened their entry requirements to meet the newly implemented GST requirement. It may be difficult to secure an offer due to high level scrutiny of applications by universities.

Hello Wonder1844,

It is possible. Flywire, PayMyTuition, and Convera allow students to pay tuition in naira via bank transfer, mobile app, or card payment. Before you proceed, check your LOA to see the financial institution partnering with your DLI for tuition collection.

But form A is buying USD with CBN which is now almost the same with black market.

Thank you for the info , I was thinking I can pay thru CONVERA directly.

TradeSunMoore:

You cannot pay with naira debit card. If you have the right documentation and time is on your hand you can approach your bank and fill form A. Otherwise you buy USD from parallel market deposit into your dom account and your bank transfer to school via convera using details on the invoice

It won't cover my POF. I will make it up with my other statement of account.
The funds will also be disbursed to the school.

JMG12:
Will that loan cover for your POF? if it won't you need to complete the required POF, get SOA and the loan letter of approval if the money has not been deposited into your account.

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Wonder1844(m): 5:12pm On Apr 06
Good day leaders.
Please I need response.
My tuition fees is about 21000+ CAD. I want to travel with my wife leaving our 3 kids for now.
I have about 17m which is from accumulated savings. I want to add 30m which will be explained, making it 47m.

I intend getting a certificate of investment of about 50m to cover up for second year expenses, my office is also giving me 35% of my salary for the period of 2 years. I earn about 330k.

I have 18 plots of land in 6 different locations and a car. I intend using them as part of my home tie.

Please help check if it will fly.
Thanks

No, I didn't submit English Proficiency.

Daveconsult007:

Did university of Calgary request GRE/GMAT and IELTS from you?

Thank you.
No amount was stated apart the amount, credit unit for First and second year.

zubizareta:

Yes it is as long as your LOA didn't state you should pay a particular amount that's more than the 15k cad

I just got my admissions from University of Calgary. Thank you for giving me hope.

I was even too worried that I had to apply to university of Montreal.

JMG12:
University of Calgary now has an Excel calculator where you can calculate your CGPA and send it to them directly, someone who graduated with 3.5/5 got admission in Geomatics engineering although he has gotten his visa and it is a reapplication to the school

Hello Wonder1844,

Despite Montreal being a French-speaking province, there is also a community of English speakers. Some of the residents are bi-lingual and getting jobs should not be any hassle.

Good day all, I am considering applying to university at Concordia in Montreal while waiting for a response from the University of Calgary. I have heard that French is predominantly spoken in that province. I am curious if non-French speakers can find employment there. Thank you for your assistance.

Thank you so much for this hope.
I applied for electrical Electronics Engineering ( Energy and Environment Option).

Please do you know how long it takes them to offer admission after submitting application?

With my 3.78/5 University of Calgary is telling me that it's Second Class Upper division or 4/5.
I don't know if they will hold on to 4/5.

So PGD is the only likely admission with 2.2.
TabletMan:
What of someone with 2.7/5 GP, that wants to apply for industrial/mechanical engineering MSc?
Any chance of getting admission to any of the universities?
