My aim exactly. By ball park estimate, over 95% of bus drivers and truck driver would be out of license, and to a great extent, we can assume the remaining few are sane enough to drive safely. Furthermore, the Road safety head should hire more personnel to enforce license violation. Trust me, the resulting fines for defaulters would easily offset their wages; and more importantly, our road would become safer.

Bro. if they could implement that, then there's hope for Nigeria. I'm actually tired of reading/hearing about these avoidable road accidents.

Road Safety need to draw up a plan/program which would see every driver's license holder re-validate their license over the next 12 months. This exercise should include relevant exams such as psych evaluation, Eye test, written road safety test and comprehensive drive test.

Most Nigerians as at today know next to nothing on road safety.

Most drivers in Nigeria would not pass. When i wanted to do my UK driving test, I told the instructor I had been driving in Nigeria for some years. He said that's the big problem cos he would have to train me to get rid of the bad driving habits first before starting the proper driving lesson...

How can such an accident occur on that minor road if not for lack of proper driving skills.

It is bound to happen due to carelessness of these drivers. A part of the road is closed for reconstruction, it's just common sense to not overtake or speed on the single makeshift road but no...they just have to take stupiid risks. Now, they've put some families in an eternal state of sorrow. It's sad situation in Nigeria these days with kind of the news you read about everyday.. How long ago people were burnt like guguru on thesame road. Something really needs to be done ASAP.
