The truth is that we that we were earning "shyte money" 5 years ago can now earn 1k per day. So do not despise the days of shyte money.

While some people will be fortunate to get a high paying job immediately some people will struggle and it is not because they are not trying. So, let's be careful with our words so not to get some people depressed!!

I was stuck in a low paying job for years because the company was sponsoring my visa. I applied to hundreds of jobs but none wanted to sponsor me. I was really miserable but there was nothing I could do about it. After I got my ILR, the story changed. All the people that had gone ahead of me I overtook. So slow and steady sometimes win the race.

Seriously I wouldn't say 22k is shyte money. People's circumstances are different. When I was a kitchen porter years back, if I was being paid 22k, I would have my shoulders up like a rugby player.

Nowadays, all these things don't mean much to me. I quoted dupyshoo cos I believe we are in the same line and she can bear me witness. The typical day rate is about 600 and then you realise its just money. If you are even lucky and you work remotely you could add another making £1200 a day.
What I am trying to say is that I will never say to someone earning even minimum wage that they are on shyte pay cos our paths are not the same and not everyone will be in tech.

More often than not, you need to work through recruitment firms for these roles. Prior to IR35 saga, your company can be engaged directly.

They are not permanent roles, who needs a permanent role you can be surplus to requirement anytime. I have been in my role for about 3 years now, I came in on a 3 month contract.

The thing is, these organisations prefer to hire contractors cos they dont call in sick, go on holidays and can hit the ground running. Moreso, they are not entitled to any benefit and they can be rolled out at a few weeks notice. Cunny man find am, cunny man thief am solution.

Perhaps by adding data in front of visualisation, I confused you, however it’s still data that’s imputed in Tableau. Yes Data Analysts use it but it’s also used by BA’s. Just like Excel is used by both BA’s, DA’s and everyone else. Learning how to use these basic tools can be useful if you are trying to become a BA. Fin

Tableau is a tool everyone use. Heck, I use Jira, Azure DevOps and sometimes PowerBI it doesnt mean I am a professional user. What I meant in essence is the fundamental function of a BA is to interface between the business and the IT. Most importantly, gathering requirements and engaging stakeholders. They could use Tableau as part of that function. However, Data Analyst use these tools day in day out. it is their bread and butter.

They do and it’s relatively easy to learn. A Udemy course can give someone a foundational understanding and they can also download a free data visualisation tool like Tableau public to practice with.
