Ah yesm how could i forget the Blood franchise in the midst of violent animes? FMA too had its violent parts. Yeah, also Jorgumand, similar to Black Lagoon and some other anime i saw three years back - Soul Of The Samurai or something like that. About some samurai that was cursed by some akuma to continue killing and never know death till he killed more than a thousand or something like that. |
For me, it is anime all the way. I first started with western cartoons but once i got introduced to japanese anime by my cousins in the mid 90s, shiii. . . . . it's been a marriage since then. First started with Fist of The North Star, then Samurai Showdown and then saw Ninja Scroll The storylines seemed more complex, action was more engaging and the art style was more appealing. I still saw my western toons, only they were gradually being replaced by anime. I did see Thundersub, G Force, Voltron before the aforementioned anime, but for sme odd reason, i didn't see them as anime, maybe because of the English voice overs or being aired alongside many Western toons on NTA back in the day |
How come nobody has mentioned Korokuza amongst violent animes? Other mentions: High School Of The Dead ![]() Elfin Lied Claymore Beserk Ninja Scroll Hellsing Deadman Wonderland Gantz (particularly sick )If you read manhwa as well, this titles are pretty violent as well - Veritas Dangu (Shaman Warrior) Choonchu |
For some odd reason, these songs i've been playing in me head (and i've also played them on my laptop) Starfield - Something To Say Common - Cloth Musiq Soulchild - Medicine NeedToBreathe - A Place Only You Can Go |
^ Lol, on top of what are houses built? The sea? |
Prekky nailed it. Mikuz obviously underestimated him. Prekky's verses had more sting in the them. And the wordplay made it an enjoyable read. And his multies were on point. |
Bloc Party's Day Four and The Healing readily come to mind. Also Imagine Dragon's My Fault and Demons are songs i can remember at the moment |
regional autonomy is the way. Under regional form of government, Nigeria saw its best periods of development as not only our natural resources were harnessed, but also an important resource - ourselves. This unitary form has made many lazy and dependent on handouts from the central government and only those with this freeloader mentality are the ones kicking against it. We run a most expensive democratic government and yet, have little in way of results to show for it. I believe the Parliamentary style would discourage a lot of politicians who see politics as a scramble for that national cake. |
^^bump. Ok, 3 years later, i'm still asking, lol |
^Na condition make crayfish bend. . . ![]() |
@Dr. Kit, Some weeks back when i made statements similar to yours, some termed it as knee jerk reactions, get on with it and support the team blah blah blah. Now you have duds like Diaby in midfield trying out skills, losing possesion. I seriously doubt Arsene would buy in these last few days. And if he does, not anyone of note. One thing is certain, Arsenal fans like escapism. It does help with the shame of failing to get a different result while doing the same thing repeatedly. One wonders who we'd be selling next season? Probably Cazorla after seeing what a sh.t team packed with super duds, crocks and scum, he found himself in. . . |
Has anyone heard Bloc Party's Four? Or the group Imagine Dragons' Continued Silence EP? Good music and albums |
*sigh* What can i say, different toilets, same sh.it Same ol', samd ol' dumbass play. And now Song's off to Barca. Lol, we are now officially royally fcked |
Repping UI, all day, every day. . . The first and the best |
Since we're now everyone's bi.tch, we might as well decide who gets sold next season and the players 'evaluation' and the point at which we sell off if the 'price is right'. I nominate Wilshere. Anyone else? |
Pray tell, when did he hand in a transfer request? If reports are anything to go by, he told Arsenal he's considering staying with or without a new contract, only to be told by Wenger he's no longer part of his plans and if Manure meets the right price, he's selling. |
@proudly, Oshey o, omo iya. When i keep telling idiot Arsenal fans they are making their team into another Valencia, Everton, they keep coming up with the 'he's crocked' BS. If he's so damn crocked, what makes you think he wouldn't play another injury free season wearing a Manure shirt as he did for Arsenal last season? You dingbats continually make yourselves into the laughing stock of the footballing world without even realizing it. Some Arsenal fans are already stating if Barça meet an 'evaluation' of 25M, they'd be willing to sell. Sweet Lawd bless me and you peeps would call Evra a prick for saying Arsenal is only a training facility and finishing school. Keep consoling yourselves with irrelevant BS while clubs seek ways to weaken |
And once again, Arsenal has shown as a club they have no value whatsoever, so far it's all about the money. Frankly, i blame the fans, board for this transfer. When you keep selling your star players season after season, you change your team chemistry and then Arsenal has to rebuild season after season, new players have to re-adjust to the club's gameplay and it becomes another season of learning on the job while making fatal errors in crucial matches. It just has to be Arsenal. Get fans in a frenzy with good signings and then dash moods with this idiot sale. Like i said earlier on, the fans and board do contribute to this tomfoolery. Wtf is "if Man U meets our evaluation"? How about just saying No? Fa Chrissakes, you don't strengthen your rivals, and if that's debatable, fellow title challengers. Same Manure with a rickety midfield lost the title to Shitty on goal differences, and then you further strengthen them with the sale of your most clinical striker? What many at L'Arse don't understand is that, repeared sales of players like this sends a message to other clubs .... make a bid, if there's initial shakara about no sale, apply a little more pressure till they make an evaluation of the player they think you wouldn't meet, and the buying club zooms in for the kill. We are now a cheapass club, more like bend down select that can't even keep their best players. So who goes next season? Wilshere peaks, we sell him the f off. Song next. And then Chamberlain. And then Kos, and then Coquelin and on and on we go. Swear down, they need to change Arsenal FC to Arsenal Finishing School. Nansense. . . |
@OP, Do you mean series or movies? Because they are two different things. I haven't gotten to watch the Jumong series, though i've heard positive reviews. But concerning Korean movies, i've seen - Shadowless Sword The Sword With No Name Musa I can't remember the name right now, but it had something to do with Point. Breaking Point, i think. |
Lol, look at all this otondos. Enjoy your stay in camp. I'm currently serving in Ogun, batch A. After your 3 weeks, the music stops. Na teaching all of una dey go do. Ema lo ro. |
@chidi, Bawo lo shen wuwa bi eni t'eyin fomo'nu bayi. You no sabi wia Shekpe thread dey? Use your head and use the door. @dykekanu Oga, wia the Bayern thread? |
Obviously, majority on this thread - nejifresh, DjSol et al are silly brats that were raised on wizkid and co and think Terry G is HipHop. Before you crazy lot learnt to stop bedwetting, i've been bumping this rap sh.t Again, i reiterate, IM2 was crap compared to the previous. And this is not bias. His 2008 works were near classics and even eclipsed Mode 9's The Paradigm Shift, but if a rapper becomes lazy and complacent, then we have to tell it as it is. I mean, it is bad when Jesse Jagz outshines you on tracks (Represent), then this blasted mixtape. . .that was supposed to be a peace offering after the aberration called MI2 |
Illegal Music II was a piss poor sequel to Illegal Music I and a sore dissapointment. God, i couldn't the number of times i had to skip tracks. The sampling was shabbily done compared to the previous mixtape, MI now sounds complacent with his flow and delivery, it was like there was a missing component. Arguably the best song - Export; had Yung 6ix sonning MI on the track. Only teenyboppers would enjoy IM2, serious heads would dislike this mixtape. I have not heard OTT but i hope it is what i've heard it is. By the way, Sauce Kid's Da Ripoff still tops has Naija's best mixtape. |
^^ You obviously found your way to a keyboard when your nurse was taking a piss. Now do e-re.tards worldwide a favour and run back into your ward. . . |
dayokanu: Fabregas won the UEFA Super cup, he won the World club cup, Did he also won those at Arsenal?Jesu egbami. Ogbeni, not this <<GBAGAUN>>, not at all!! ![]() Jesu |
@kunle fox, The song "Signs" is from the album Intimacy. You should try "Biko" as well. Lovely Bloc Party song. |
Would definitely look into that band. Does anyone do Anathema? Or Article 1? |
@edoyad, Lol, have you heard Florence + The Machine's Ceremonials? Haunting yet infectious. Btw. . . Florence And The Machine's alternative. I wouldn't classify their music as rock. Name by Fireflight is another good song. And ah yes, one of my favorites from back in the day. . . Lenny Kravitz's Fly Away. Lavlay ![]() |
Does anyone here listen to August Burns Red or Underoath? I prefer Underoath though. One of my favorite rock songs has to be Iris by GooGoo Dolls, Coldplay's Trouble, Keane's Try Again and She Has No Time. Ah yes, and also Until June. Lovely band. Only one album though. 3 years back another favorite of mine was Anthem Of The Angels by Breaking Benjamin. And if y'all are into alternative, try out Bloc Party. The lead singer's of Nigerian origin (Igbo). I like the way they experiment with sounds. Late 2011 to early 2012, i picked up Sanctus Real and Josh Garrels. Nice albums too. |
@ Merule, I dey o. Yeah, i kinda miss the hall. I saw Aro recently at Fagba but he was too far off. Most of the peeps we know don comot, na all those small small pikin remain. |
