michaeled45: If u don't pick answers that are consistent with the organisations values, then u will definately fail. Please always base ur answers around the core values of pwc which are "Excellence, teamwork and Leadership". Therefore try to interpret all questions in this line of thought. For example if asked a question such as "do u prefer to carry out tasks alone or with others even when u know what to do" u shud know they are trying to test ur attitude towards team work. Also when asked if u prefer to be a leader or member of a team, always say u prefer to be the team lead. Always say u prefer workin with and showin ccompassion to others. And of course u have never told a lie before if asked. Na computer dey interpret the thing oo so don't try to be modest in ur answers. Go for extremes or atleast a step before extreme. Treat all questions as "Yes or No"

Christianity EtcRe: On The Permanence Or Impermanence Of The New Birth (culled From A Conversation) by wordthots: 5:44pm On Apr 08, 2013
Ihedinobi: @Candour

I sense that which is Christ in you, brother. This is why I will bother at all to deal with frosbel's response. There are a few on this forum whom I've joined issues with or just couldn't escape knowing and have found to be enemies of the Cross of Christ. They take perverted joy in rending the Scriptures and forcing them to cancel out.

Of their number is frosbel. There are others but only when I have need to do I bother to expose them as such. It is not merely a question of judging but of securing the Gospel.

I actually have argued about this bit of Scripture before on this forum, but I don't quite remember the thread. Once I do, I wipl provide the link.

The first folly here is the assumption that this passage says that a Christian or a child of God by the New Birth is the same as one who has been enlightened or has tasted the heavenly gift or shared in the Holy Ghost or tasted of the goodness of the Word of God and the powers of the coming age. It says nothing of the sort. Jesus Himself explains that with the parable of the sower and His seed.

But before I get into that, consider Jude particularly the bit in verse 12 which goes

These men are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm - shepherds who only feed themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted - twice dead.

I encourage you to read the whole letter to understand who these men are. Peter's second letter also focuses on them in its second chapter. In fact, one could almost say that 2Peter 2 is a mirror of Jude and it explains a lot more clearly who the people in question are.

Important to note is that these people are there but do not really belong. Also, both apostles hold that they are perverters of the Gospel.

Now, back to Jesus's parable. The Word or the Gospel, which the Seed in the parable represents came to all the people spoken of, but only one kind of people bore fruit. However, do you remember a part of that parable that resonates with verse 8 in Hebrews 6? It's the part that spoke of thorns and thistles. Remember how Jesus explained that part?

Now compare what Jesus said about the land that brought forth thorns and thistles to what Peter and Jude said about those men. I don't think I need to tell you what you'll find. Just go on and see for yourself.

Now, that's about the first folly. That bit of Scripture cannot be used to say that Christians are people who have tasted of the powers of the world to come etc. However, it can be used to warn people who have indeed tasted of these powers not to despise them. But there is yet one thing I need to point out before moving on.

Right after the section of that chapter @frosbel posted, the author of Hebrews expressed confidence that his readers were of better expectation than all that he'd just written. Why do you think he was confident?

Now, let me explain about the Gospel.

All of us are in darkness by nature. The law of Moses was given to show all mankind how powerless we are by nature to do and live right. We are forever failing and our best efforts are tainted by the worst intentions. Thus our righteousness can never be more than filthy rags. We are slaves to sin.

Now when the Gospel comes, it does something amazing to each one of us who hears it. It actually raises us up in that moment to see another life, another possibility, another reality. It's wonderful news because it comes with proof.

It isn't just the hearing of the physical ears but the actual unveiling spiritually of what is being said. There is enough in that moment for us to know that the Gospel is true and a real alternative. Remember also that our will is normally enslaved by sin. But when the Gospel comes, it is freed.

In the instant that we hear the Gospel, we are restored to Adam's state before the fall, able to choose again between life and death, between Christ and our own self. Some choose Christ and life, others choose self and death. Now, once that choice is made: the acceptance or rejection of the Gospel, destiny is sealed for the person involved. I realize how frightening it os to say that because nobody wants to have only one chance to make the right choice, but you have to understand that the sealing of destiny is not because God is so mean but because however many times after that the Gospel comes to the man who has really seen it the first time, he will continue to reject it and harden himself against it. This is simply the truth.

The true Christian is the one who heard, tasted, and everything else the Gospel and went beyond all that to accept it too. They are the onea who mixed what they heard with faith. They are the ones who are born into the world to come as its citizens and inheritors. They do not only taste of the Holy Spirit, they are joined to Him as one spirit. They are totally one with the Lord in every way. Their life after the day they are born into Christ is all about unfolding the potential of all of this.

This is why the author of Hebrews was so confident of his readership and why Peter and Jude could separate the blemishes at the feast from the feast itself.

I think that I'll make another post offering portions of Scripture that speak of the impossibility of a Christian going back into perdition, not least the last verse of Hebrews 10 which frosbel also quoted. You know, again that verse expressed confidence that the readers weren't the sort to draw back into perdition.
thanks bro, this would be definitely helpful in my personal studies.
i was challenged some mnths back to do a study on this when i heard joseph prince and another preacher i listen to support OSAS

Still doing my studies though, but i must confess, i have stumbled on quite a number of scripture dat seem to be authoritative about a believers eternal security....

examples are

jn 10:28
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. (ESV)

heb 7:24
Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. (ESV)

jude24
Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, (ESV)

others Romans14:4
eph1:14
heb.5:9
jn 11:26

even john 3:16 in a sense

Hey guys, was going through my system yesterday and stumbled on a material which i got from a friend last year and i think it wd be helpful for the PWC tests. it teaches you a few things about personality tests, numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning tests etc and even has examples

Obviously, its totally free; but there's just one setback, I don't have constant internet access so i can only send to a few people ( probably just the E-mails i can see on this page). For those who get it pls kindly send to others.

All the best y'all

Christianity EtcRe: Ministers Of Righteousness by wordthots: 5:34pm On Mar 16, 2013
newnature23: It is simply been given to man to either accept or reject what Christ has already accomplished in this age of grace. The believer today then, is to be based upon appreciation of what Christ has already done, and the security that we have in him, rather than apprehension based upon a supposition of what God may or may not do in the future for us.

Many people involved in religion’s domain are dealing with God on the basis of probation, rather than salvation. Then God must make a decision in their minds, whether or not to save that individual. Their suitability for heaven depends upon their turning away from all of their sins. If they will simply dedicate themselves to no longer to sin, that is the idea. God testing over and over again the validity of that dedication. Then God will know if they are truly devoted to him, then he will be able to finally make a decision as to whether or not they are heaven worthy. That is the idea in and in most people’s minds; it is the idea being promoted by ministers of righteousness. That is probation, not salvation.

God is not testing or proving people today, in order to make a final decision as to whether or not to save them, or to keep them saved. All the saving work that God could possibly do, he has already done through Christ. God now holds forth the reconciliation that Christ has accomplished, in his mind, offering man the choice to either accept or reject that gift of salvation. Appreciation based on the reality of salvation, not apprehension based on religion’s message of probation.

Christianity EtcRe: "Nigeria Will Be Among The World Powers By the Year 2020" - Bishop David Oyedepo by wordthots: 10:49pm On Mar 09, 2013
ajadrage: Well, I wouldn't want to join issues with the statement that Nigeria will be named among the world powers by the year 2020, or any other future time. However, methinks that for spiritually minded people, the issue of Nigeria being amongst the major power brokers in global politics should be less of a priority. The present system is a decaying system, and it is passing away, giving way to a kingdom, and a King who will exert rule in love, justice and power.

Being among the power brokers in a global politics that has lost all sense of values, morality, justice, and humaneness is not a prize that children of the most High should crave for in these days of the end, this is especially more so as we see that even the power brokers of the contemporary international system can hardly claim immunity from the everyday existential challenges of economic and social security, poverty, climate change, amongst others despite advancements in technology and infrastructure.

However, as our individual hearts are different and uniquely distinct, so our desires are. But we should be mindful that our desires are in harmony with the will of our creator. He wrote the story, even He knows how the story ends, and this he has so graciously shown to faithful humankind. . .

Christianity EtcRe: What Is Deliverance? by wordthots: 11:43pm On Mar 08, 2013
nlMediator: Yes, my brother, I'm really waiting to hear of those experiences. I have a feeling that many people that aspire to be Bible teachers have very little experience in the field. They have beautiful ideas that have not been tested. When people suggest that a christian bound by demons should simply shake it off or resist the devil, they miss the crucial point that some of those christians have already gone past that stage. That is, they are too weak to fight on ther own. What they need is freedom from the bondage, at which point they can maintain their victory by resisting any further attacks. Of course, that's not to say that some forms of demonic intrusion cannot be resisted. But that's not a basis for confusing such situations with those in which the evil spirit needs to be cast out. I also sense that many people here are confusing our LEGAL position in Christ with our REAL ("vital"wink position. The legal is the ideal that we can work toward so we can experience fully all that Jesus has for us. But we also know that not everybody is working or walking at the same pace. The devil may trip some people up and it's no consolation to tell them they were never saved or that they need no help and that it's all in their power to shake it off.
My broda, sorry ds is coming alittle late been quite busy...
I love your line of Thought
I agree that my post seems alittle off balance cause for now I still go with Hagins position about this topic, but at this point I think I need more personal study on this...
About christians falling sick; most definitely christians can fall sick. It all boils down to knowing what christ has done through his finished work. Like you rightly said theirs the Vital and legal position. Not all christians their position in Christ...the reason a christian would still get oppressed by the devil is ignorance...the devil thrives on ignorance

Christianity EtcRe: What Is Deliverance? by wordthots: 12:13pm On Mar 04, 2013
Goshen360: @wordthots, whatz up son (of God)! I can see you are doing very very well, being grounded in scriptures. The truth is, many Christians are very far from the RICHES and BLESSEDNESS of believers in the New Testament still married to the Old; hence, they must come up with stuffs like deliverance for Christians. I don't see any believer in the early church going for deliverance session. Many Pastors are fueling the error also knowing that's what sells and what the people want. Take a look at this,

2 Corinthians 3:7-11
Expanded Bible (EXB)

7 The ·law [or old system;  ministry] that brought death was ·written in words [ engraved with letters] on stone. It came with ·God’s glory [ glory], which made Moses’ face so ·bright [glorious] that the ·Israelites [ children of Israel] could not ·continue to look [gaze] at it. But that glory ·later disappeared [was fading; or was made ineffective (by the veil on his face)]. 8 So ·surely [ will not…?] the ·new way that brings [ ministry of] the Spirit has even more glory. 9 [ For] If the ·law that judged people guilty of sin [ ministry of condemnation] had glory, surely the ·new way that makes people right with God [ ministry of righteousness] has much greater glory. 10 For that which had glory [ the law] ·really loses its glory [ has no glory] when it is compared to the much greater glory [ the new way through the Spirit]. 11 [ For] If that which ·disappeared [faded; was made ineffective;  the law; v. 7] came with glory, then that which ·continues forever [remains; abides; the new way through the Spirit] has much greater glory.
Doing great bro... I believe at this point we rily need to push the word out there like than ever before.Enough of all this traditions! People need to come into the realities of our redemption and the realities. Of the new creation.
Christianity EtcRe: What Is Deliverance? by wordthots: 10:55pm On Mar 03, 2013
J luv u: The topic of deliverance is one most people don´t want to hear or talk about, some school of thought believed that Jesus had died for us and had taking away our sins and that we don´t need deliverance anymore, the truth is that; if you don´t believe in deliverance it will not change a thing rather it will be fueling demonic activities,it will not stop the devil from caging people. What then is Deliverance?
1. Deliverance is to kill satanic embargo.
2. Deliverance is to break evil curses and covenants.
3. Deliverance is to be victorious in one´s dream at all times.
4. Deliverance is to break evil yoke.
5. Deliverance is to posses one´s possession.
6. Deliverance is to capture back what the enemy has stolen from you.
7, Deliverance is to hunt down and destroy destructive habits.
8. Deliverance is destruction of satanic dream.
9. Deliverance is reversing satanic verdict and spell place upon one´s life.
10.Deliverance is rearranging one´s faulty foundation.
with time i will explain further and discuss the set of people that really needs deliverance.God bless you as you read this.
Sis are you speaking based on God’s word or based on traditions because last time I checked the believer has been delivered from most of these things, pls check out the following scriptures

1. Colossians 1:13- [The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love (AMP)

Col. 2:15- [God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross].

2.Galatians 3:13- Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified)

Romans 8:30- For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren.

My dear we belong to God’s family now and there are no curses in that family lineage

3. 2Corinthians 2:14- But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ's victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere

You are victorious already with or without deliverance, you just need to walk in this consciousness of who you are in Christ Jesus.

4. Heb. 2:14- Since, therefore, [these His] children share in flesh and blood [in the physical nature of human beings], He [Himself] in a similar manner partook of the same [nature], that by [going through] death He might bring to nought and make of no effect him who had the power of death--that is, the devil—

5. 2pet.1:4- For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).

What possession again do you need?

6. John 10:10- The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)

The day you got born again you were totally restored, there’s no more capturing my dear

7. John 8:32- And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free

Galatians 5:16- But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God)

On this(habits) I agree that a believer might need “deliverance” but not through deliverance sessions but through God’s word by constant meditation. Just like Romans 12:2.

8 & 9. Eph. 2:6- And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Eph. 1:20-21- Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places], Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come.

God put Christ far above ALL authority and power and we seated together with Christ, meaning we are also far above. My dear where you are there are no yokes, satanic bondages, satanic spells and also satanic dreams have no power over you if you know your rights as a believer in Christ.

Colossians 3:3- For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God

10. 2Corinthians 5:17- Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come.

Colossians 1:13- [The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love (AMP)

There are no faulty foundations anymore, you have been recreated in Christ unto goodworks
