Comparing straight line without curved line. Also comparison length with width
if I do the curve, Onitsha is still small. Should I?

to shows your that the longest road n onitsha is nowhere near those in other bugs cities.
If gives an insight as to how large onitsha is

Onitsha to ogidi 12km

Borokiri to oyigbo in port Harcourt, 30km

Onitsha is small

PoliticsRe: Biggest Economies In Nigeria, GDP Of States by Workch(op): 8:44pm On Jul 06, 2023

Onitsha to ogidi is shorter than these distance within Aba, abia state.

Aba is about more than 3 times the size of Onitsha

That is where your ignorance originates from. When they rate Onitsha high, it's not because of Onitsha but all population clusters in that axis. So you can now rest
So why is not that Onitsha is part of Asaba metro 😂😂

The data is a well known data. Onitsha two LGA is 52 km square
add Ogidi and Obosi, Onitsha is not up to 350km.

Should I do it?

You lack in depth understanding of the subject matter. For your information Asaba is part of Onitsha metro. Owerri is close to joining. The point here is population clusters not cultural affinity
😂😂😂
Adding Asaba to onitsha is foolish

That figure is for Onitsha South and Onitsha north LGA.
Ogidi and Obosi is not in Onitsha South or North, they are in idemili.

Onitsha metropolitan area is made up of Onitsha south and north, Obosi, Nkpor and some parts of Ogidi.

I know onitsha very well, it's small

That not how it's been calculated. Check buildings per square meter. U will see that Onitsha is built up. Where can u see the type of store buildings except in onitsha
if you say building by square meter then I will agree but total number of building, Onitsha cannot be top 10.

I repeat, city is different from urban metropolitan area. Anambra rural area are so clustered and constant erection of edifice by rich individuals have merged the villages into an urban cornubation as attested by Google. The whole cluster is regarded as Onitsha metro
see look the map.
From head bridge to Ogidi (this part of Ogidi is not even onitsha per se) is still a shorter than than osisioma to Asa umunka in Aba. That distance withing Aba is still twice from headbridge onitsha to Ogidi.

Onitsha is small. It cannot be the 2md most built up by number of houses.

Onitsha has Left those places you are mentioning long ago. Onitsha has capured Awka. Ekulobia and Orlu
the onitsha on your map, you are adding okija, ihiala , Nnewi and even orlu to it 😂😂

Which Ibadan?? U have not been to Onitsha
I have lived in Onitsha for 6 months. I lived at Niger Avenue, Fegge.

I have at least spent on week Abuja, Aba, owerri, Ibandan, Ilorin, Uyo, Calabar and Benin.

I served in port Harcourt and lived in Enugu for 4 years.

Enugu, Owerri, Benin, Ibadan, Abuja, Port harcourt and even Aba are more built up than onitsha. Built up I mean the amount of buildings. Onitsha is small

You are confusing yourself bro
I will never believe that Onitsha is 2nd most built up city until you give me an exact figure of all the buildings in Onitsha and other cities in Nigeria.

I am damn sure that onitsha cannot make top 10. I'm also sure that onitsha does not have more buildings than event Owerri and Enugu. I doubt if Onitsha will event have more buildings than Aba not to talk of port harcourt, Abuja and Kano.

Are you kidding me 😂

Forget about being Igbo, we are talking facts here. Demographia and other international organizations that gave that data don't have any reason to be biased. You don't know more than them!

Lagos is most built up because there are buildings back-to-back for hundreds of miles. Same is applicable to Onitsha. They don't consider Ibadan as built-up because the buildings are more or less shanties, which are categorized as slums by those international bodies.
Onitsha is not more built than Abuja. You and I know this.
Or even port harcourt.

You should be laughing at those data 😂

Go and research the difference between city and urban metropolitan area. That's where your confusion is coming from. In terms of city, Aba is the largest city in the East followed by Enugu. But urban metroplis is a different thing and Onitsha is the largest in Nigeria by landmass and second largest by population
Onitsha is small.
Even if you combine Onitsha, Obosi, nkpor, Ogidi, places like port harcourt, Abuja, Kano, Kaduna and Ibadan are sill larger and more built than it.

"Allow" like Lagos is the ones stopping it. The new seaport was built by state government not federal. If those states want to build themselves a seaport then they should do it. Don't blame lagos for building there own.

There is a difference between a city and urban metro. Stop confusing yourself
Onitsha, Nkpo, Ogidi and Obosi are not as built up as port harcourt metro. Even if you add Oba and Nnewi to it, Port metro comprising onne, Elele, oyigbo and obio akpo is still more built up than all of them.

Obio akpo alone is larger than Onitsha main city

ChatGPT shouldn't be relied upon on such issue. Demographia and other research bodies are more reliable.

ChatGPT only picks random information online to form its opinion.
we can search Google satellite. Onitsha doesn't have more buildings than kano, Port harcourt and Abuja. Even Ibadan.

I am Igbo but we have to tell ourselves the truth

You are not considering the dense suburbs surrounding Onitsha which appears green on Google. Unlike places like Kano surrounded by empty desert
Built up means: Number of residential buildings.

Onitsha will not make top 10 on that list

Its mostly the economic capital because the people there built it to be. Stop diminishing the people of lagos and giving glory to the federal government. Kano is bigger than Lagos so why is it not as successful. If anything the government prioritized lagos because of the success of the people there.
it's the economic capital because its given a special treatment to make sure that it's seaport is the only optimally functioning seaport in Nigeria.

It is from this revenue generate by the inflow businesses in Lagos that gives Lagos state money revenue to build Lekki port.
Allow other seaports work well in other parts of the country and Lagos will grow slowly economically because many businesses will move

What you think is irrelevant. A competent authority has done the ranking. Note, the ranking was based urban metropolitan area no cities. Onitsha is more than twice of PH
they are not competent authorities. Who made them reliable, you?
They a body with no relavance. Onitsha cannot be the 2nd most built to city in Nigeria.
Anybody that traveled accross Nigeria know this. Even Chatgpt does not agree with you

I will take the words of the experts who took their time to study this over your opinion.

Both Demographia and McKenzie have done independent research and come to the same conclusions about Onitsha.

Demographia will release their annual report this month.
onitsha is a small place by landmass, it cannot possibly be the 2nd most built up city in Nigeria. I don't think it's even in top 10.

Even chatGPT don't think so
