You think Umahi touring and inspecting projects around the whole country and meeting with governors has the time to set up private meetings with every contractor ?

He is even making his own notes about what he has instructed the contractors to do as he is conducting the the interview because of lack of time.

While I admire Umahi’s zest to deliver, I don’t think this kind of admonition should be public. Quietly but strongly go about your business and get results.

Contractors have to shape up or face severe consequences.

I watched the video, here is some more information leading to Umahi making that comment.

The project was an 11km project awarded a few years back, the Federal Ministry of Works were led to believe that 5km has been completed and has paid so far N500m of estimates total bill recently jacked up to N4 Bn.

However on inspection Umahi cannot find any evidence of the 5km allegedly built so in front of the camera he confronted the contractor.
He told him he is terminating the contract for the reason of the contractor's lack of capacity unless he they can partner with competent engineering firms to complete the project.

Contractor started to give excuse that the road was built but destroyed again by heavy trucks, so Umahi said that the road has to be rebuilt and that he would not pay an additional kobo, that the best he can do for the contractor is not to query or tax the N500m already paid to him.

He added but if the contractor tries to fight him he would seek to recover the N500m already paid, it was as the contractor continued try and make his case, that Umahi cut him short and told him that he should be ashamed of himself, then the video ends.

I trust an audited report produced during Buhari era more than the opinion of an investigator hired by a dishonest Tinubu to justify continued detention of a sitting CBN governor he considers disloyal.

Soludo is my governor. The government House was started 31 years ago and abandoned, but like the scammer he is Soludo make it seem like he is building it. He has placed a billboard about the project and dumped some stones and sand outside, but no work is taking place. If you visit the site even the gate is locked and no sign of work is evident.

You said he borrowed #100billion, yet the state debt profile is just #74billion, this should have told you that he didn’t borrow any money

During last year floods Soludo appeared to vanish , reappearing only after the floods had abated with promises to the victims that were never fulfilled.

APC or not doesn't matter to Tinubu . You must cut a deal with him to win your tribunal case. He wants to retain control of NAss and only those who cut deal with him would be allowed to win tribunal cases irrespective of political party.

Ps, LP is insignificant in the schemes of things. If APC was to get rid of any party, it would be PDP (the real opposition), and not some mushroom party like LP.

In a working democracy Tinubu would have been impeached for unconstitutionally removing a sitting CBN governor on trumped up charges that were later dropped.

Not to talk of breaching standing court order restraining DSS from arresting him.

Today without any charge being laid on him in court he is still in detention 2 months after his illegal arrest.

If this is the type of government we are happy with in Nigeria, so be it , but don't then start complaining about the state of the country.

Let us remember and appreciate the Buhari era, when APC were not winning all their tribunal cases, not even some that they deserved to win.

Tinubu is different, only those non APC that cut a deal with him would stand chance of winning.
