5 hectares is 12.5 acres
Depends on the spacing you intend using you can put between 600-800 suckers per acre that is you can put 7,500-10,000 on the 5 hectares.
The are lot of risk involved in plantain plantation majorly diseases and lack of proper mentainance.

If you intercrop your plantain farm with veggie then you might need 2 permanent staffs

A colleague at my plantain farm, plus drip hose system of irrigation being practised.
This is cool
l love your creativity am really impressed. you were are to produce healthy plantain despite the fact that you soil is a bit off.
you used sawdust for mulching
you used rubber hose for your drip irrigation
the 2 steps are awesome.

Now for sustainability try to cover your hose with thick dry leaves because of sunlight and it will also help retain your water from quick evaporation.

@world1 some people will go to hospitals for check up, the doctor will recommend exercise to some, So I kept wondering why doing fruitless excerciese when we have fruitfull one in the farm...Come and burn your fat in the farm and have something to show for it.......... Great farmer.........
