I like your comments but I need to add to that. The mainstay of any developed nation is to be self-sustaining and to rely less on importation. The government needs to stimulate the economy by doing a few things- they need to provide soft loans and grants to our business men and women and farmers to mass produce agricultural products and encourage innovation and patronize Nigerian-made products. Our people also need to stop fleeing our villages for cities(you cannot farm or engage in agriculture in a city that is overcrowded). If we look inward and truly patronize our products, it will create thousands of jobs and help bring us out of this economic depression we're in. That's my 2 cents.

Gone are the days when almost every company Stock in the Stock Market was overpriced-anyone remember the IPOmania in 2007/08. Stock prices of some companies on the NSE now reflect their true book value and a potential to generate returns when the economy recovers. In most economies, financial institutions(ex. banks) are the first companies to recover from an economic downturn. Whenever that happens, then the long-tern outlook for stocks(with good fundamentals) will be very positive. Until that happens, JIJO will rule in the NSE.

I think that in general, most stocks are now undervalued and in the long-term will generate awesome returns to any long-term investor. Does anyone remember when Oando was N24 per share in 2014? First Bank N35 per share?. Once the economy recovers in 12-24 months or so, watch these stocks rebound(as long as their management style or vision does not change)
