Politics › Re: Nigeria Is 79% Cheaper Than Ghana by wristbangle: 6:30am On Dec 02, 2017
Another Ghana thread! undecided

Ghana is better to Nigeria in terms of basic amenities availability but in terms of economic dominance and the number of rich people, Nigeria has it.

For Gods sake no one should blame these libyans..not like i support them but those who are not travelling for legitimate business, vacation or study should stay back and look inwards. We should channel all this enerygy into our own system to get it right once and for damn all!

2019 is by the corner and who do we hv as contestants? Same old clique.
..and we will come out to cry for another 4 yrs, people will attemp this risky travelling route again n again...and the cycle continues
So long as ethno religious sentiments will never allow us to reason n do the right thing, the Nigeria nation.l will remain in perpetual mockery .
Much sense in your comment. Weldone bro
Politics › Re: Lagos’ll Soon Be Third Largest Africa’s Economy by wristbangle: 7:18am On Dec 01, 2017
Ambode said Lagos would attain 24/7 electricity supply by 2018 via consatructing private power station. If this can be achieved coupled with good roads and completion of several projects like Eko Atlantic city ( Victoria Island), Industrial park/port/amusement centre ( Oworon Soki), Lekki sea port, Smart city and Mono rail, then Lagos can fare to 3rd position in Africa economy standings because these projects would attract investors and tourists.

Ambode should hit the ground running in the aspect of environment sanity in Lagos. This aspect needs an urgent call.

Also, the state is too congested. As harsh as it sounds, unproductive people should be deported

read your statement again.. You are using the condition "if"..

Ok, let me tell you.. Every country can use "if".. Do you think Ghana don't have it problems?..

"If ghana should concentrate more on its problems, it should be at toe to toe with south Africa"

" if south Africa should concentrate more on its problem, perhaps it would be heaven". /

You don't know how to talk.. Don't based d condition on if... There is no excuse....

Please, ghana is where it is because of cocoa..
Nigeria was into cocoa, what happened?

Is it not the same cocoa ghana used to build its school, electricity, roads, health etc...
What did nigeria do with its cocoa?

Ogbeni, don't come and shout GDP or infrastructure because your/my country has spent more to achieve lesser resources and ghana has spent less to achieve greater resources..

Nigerians are like haitians... Haitians where on the same level with the Dominican long back... But Haiti messed up in the long run and given so much excuses...
Well the answer to statement is that unfortunately Nigeria is plagued with past & present leadership which is having a derogatory effects on its citizens.

About cocoa, we were doing fine but we ignore it for oil&gas. cry

Just30:
don't worry plenty
In 2030, Ghana will be an upper muddle income country just like South Africa
Okay till then.

Okay, keep looking for your mall then.
I am not arguing about west hills mall not been the largest but I am telling u that Novare Lekki Mall is as big as it is. Google it sister.

The question of quantities/qualities of mall sef doesn't define a strong economy.

Anyway Eko Atlantic project is on the way which would bolster the largest mall in Africa cool

I don't know where OP decided that things are cheap or value for money in Ghana - they are not.

Everything costs at least 50% more in Ghana.

Medicine that costs 1500 in Nigeria costs the equivalent of 10k in Ghana. Even the price at MMIA is cheaper.

Even Ghanaian kente cloth is cheaper in Lagos than Accra.

Electricity tariffs are at least double.

Water costs more. The food that your gateman will buy costs three to four times as much as what your gateman will pay in Nigeria.

And they don't have 24 hours electricity, the situation is better than Nigeria but they do have to run generator for roughly 10 hours a week, probably more during the dry season.

Driving in Ghana is a less stressful experience, but again, Accra does not have as many good roads as Abuja, Lagos, Kano or even smaller cities such as Calabar or Uyo. Which means that while there are fewer cars the traffic can become a real nuisance, especially on Liberation Road and Spintex. There are fewer slip roads and link roads, the ones that exist are often not tarred. For an example, anyone in Accra - drive from the Koala end of Oxford Street drive towards the Vodafone office, at which point turn right. Drive 50 metres down that road and you will come onto a dirt road. This is Osu, central Accra that I'm talking about for those unfamiliar.

Speaking of Vodafone, their service is poor. Phone calls are just about passable but their internet service is frequently awful. The only other option is MTN, friends tell me that they are worse. And that is another advantage to Nigeria - there are more options when it comes to telecommunications. Once again, they are cheaper.

Ghana has its advantages for sure - primarily that it's a smaller, more manageable country and thus a calmer society. The electricity situation is better but not perfect. There is no northern elite steering the country in the wrong direction at every juncture and hiding behind the Quran and 'tradition' to justify nonsense, such as child marriage. And they don't have a coupist masquerading as a democrat.
This is someone that understands the proper difference between ghana and Nigeria.

Everybody should reference this gentleman comment

From the little source I gathered about ghana, they have stable electricity, quite good / neat roads, law abiding and coordinated.

That aside, even though in terms of basic/psychological needs like electricity, road, education in Ghana, Nigeria is ahead of them in terms of infrastructure and GDP.

We often think it's greener on the other side which is not so most time.

If not for the issue of our epileptic power supply, corruption and other lack of basic amenities, Nigeria should be toe to toe with south Africa and some European countries in terms of infrastructure or even far better

Akpu/red mud doing wonders in your brain. How can a grown up man wake up by 3am in the morning defecating thrash? I guess an afonja masquerade must have dealt with you so bad when sleeping.

You are typing from village claiming to have visited osogbo meanwhile the press up operation eze ask you to do in mud hence your brain filled with it is making you misbehave.

"Lol only Lagos can be compare to Abia?" - This is the most absurd paradox I have ever heard.

Romance › Re: please people should Be Marrying Ladies From The South West by wristbangle: 7:08am On Nov 29, 2017
The issue of love is not something one should draw statistics to measure who prefers a particular tribe to marry or not.

The OP level of tribalism has gotten to a level that her IQ has completely decay.

I might decide to marry someone who is not my tribe basically because what I cherished about her whilst something I can't see elsewhere even from ladies of her tribe as well.

Well this thread is meaningless as far as I am concern.

Yoruba men marry Igbo lady and vice versa. North marry south and vice versa. When issue of love comes to play, one should ask God to favour him/her to marry someone destined from them.

@ Amarabae, to be honest glo network is epileptic at some areas but generally in Lagos, they have improved and those areas with little or no service due to shortage of fuel at their Base Transmission Station which your area may be among the affected region, guess that issue has been sorted. You can have a glo network as backup for Internet connection.

I use MTN as my major line of browsing but ever since I started GLO LTE service in Lagos,I have never regret using it.
