@wristbangle the answers that you seek lies in the decisions that the president has to make with regard to the economy, security and health of its population.
all those figures flying in the media are heavily dramatised excluding vital information that affected the economy both under PMB and GEJ.
for every dollar.Nigeria is only entitled to 55 cents of which the federal govt has 30 cents.
Now calculate again oil revenue for both and see the battle fg has to face!
if you look at the decisions made by these two administration based on the economy the result cannot be same!
while one enjoyed a form of predictable growth the other decision resulted in a situation where it did go the way it would prefer
Sure bro, PMB would have little coming to him against GEJ.

meaning that you do not even know as much as you should know about Nigeria state of accounts under PMB and if you are this biased against PMB what stops you from being biased against GEJ
We are on the same page bro. I criticise objectively. So far we have not feel much positive impact by this current administration due to external factors like oil price surge, militant activities, insecurity (herdsmen/BH in major agric areas), etc while internal factors such as corruption and incompetent workforce.

Under GEJ, despite oil price at peak chart, he couldn't commensurate this in the economy by diversifying , build the necessary infrastructures, and others that will sustain the growth of the economy. Someone was even defending him that the money he made was used in subsidy and fighting BH, how lame! What about cases of massive looting under his breathe.

I criticise in a diplomatic way not with emotion or maybe the person is my kinsman.

Nigeria is in recession under PMB while Nigeria is not under GEJ, thats the difference. Buhari earn higher in 1985 but still put us in recession. Stop defending cluelessness. Buhari has always been a failure
Does that mean u are justifying GEJ to be a prudent spender?

How long was the oil price $120?

Oil prices were higher under GEJ, but so was his responsibilities.
Minimum wage has been increased, Youth corpers in their hundreds of thousands has their allowances increased by more than 100 % to N19i800 and in addition, the subsidy bill on his neck was too heavy.
Add the fight against bh too.

I'm not saying Jonathan was the best, but hey; let's try to be objective here.

Let Buhari pay the subsidies that the last government paid, let's see what will remain in the coffers.....

Buhari's government has been very wasteful, and more than 2 years after, nothing concrete to show.

You are talking of Venezuela, Venezuela is a socialist state, Nigeria is not, so there was no way Nigeria would have ended up like them.

Chavez has spoilt them, and they are paying for it today.
Yes I acknowledge he did those at the bolded but having said that, you will agree with me that corruption sky rocket under his watch and issue of subsidy or insecurity should be enough burden to diversify the economy and build the necessary infrastructure. Even NOI warned his administration against the incessant looting by corrupt individuals.

It should have been the best under GEJ but the fact that corruption rained supreme made the case for castigating the woman considering that she wans the coordinating minister.

I think your evaluation of PMBs achievement as it relates to resource management is far too stingy when you consider what has become of Venezuela in the wake of depleted oil prices.

You can only imagine the tragedy and sorry state Nigeria would have being in had we continued on the Okonjo path especially if we take into consideration of the various security challenges facing the country at the time PMB came to power.

Before we condemn PMB next time maybe we should look at Venezuela as a reference country of what could have been had this man not come in.
God bless you sir. My reason for that score is due to not harnessing the non oil sector enough coupled with fund wastage on oil exploration in the north, some non performing/incompetent ministers in his cabinet and one way fight of corruption.

Every government have it's flaw and I would say GEJ is the most flawed democratic government since 1999 because despite oil price at $120 per barrel, he couldn't do much to boost other sector of the economy, build the necessary infrastructure and massive looting happened under his watch hence why he is seen as the clueless one.

Truly if his government had continue till now, I don't know what might have happened to Nigeria but that doesn't mean the current government are taking prompt steps to make average citizens enjoy dividend of democracy. Though recently we are getting positive news about the economy but this need to transcend to the masses.

Okonja Iweala was the arrow head behind the forgiveness of over $30 billion debt for useless, ungrateful Nigeria. What has Adeosun done for Nigeria? Daily borrowing; under her, we have borrowed over $5 billion. FYI: under Obasanjo oil was oil $25 a barrel. What other excuse do you have Afonjas...wicked things?
When OBJ left, why is the debt increasing on monthly basis under GEJ? It's about the leader abeg. Adeosun under OBJ would still perform better than under PMB.

OBJ, GEJ and PMB cannot be gauge as a world class leader but it was a bit fair under OBJ. It would have been the best under GEJ is not for the case of massive corruption. PMB has not impressed me so far but in terms of managing resources under depleted forex earning and security threats, I would give him 5/10

How can 400k be enough? whereas most companies pay their workers that amount as entry level salary.

Talk more of a professor that have taught for like 20years.

Entry level salary of lecturer 1 is 120-150k which is small.
There are benefits aside the basic 400k being paid to senior lecturers/professors which includes sponsorship, allowances, bonuses, etc which I feel is enough. If not for the fact that the value of our currency is bad and inflation rate is high, it is more than enough.
