Family › 8 Things Guys Above 30yrs Do That Show They Are Still Mummy's Boy by wristbangle(op): 5:37pm On Jun 17, 2017*. Modified: 8:46am On Jun 20, 2017 |
At a point in a man's life, he should be able to take action and decide on how to live his life without the validation of anyone. This is a time when he should be able to choose his life partner by his own discretion, move freely among friends, have his own personal apartment.
But even at that, some men have crossed the age of thirty yet they can't take decision themselves and stand on it, they always want to please their parents and are very indecisive in decision making which clearly shows he is still a mummy's boy.
More points will be discuss below to buttress these kind of guys.
1. His mother decides on whom he should marry/date
It's very disgraceful that we are in a country where some adult man can't decide whom he will marry nor stand on his decision with the validation of family members. The worst case of it is that, at that age, some of them will discard any lady their mothers don't like even if it's on the ground of tribalism or race. This is one of the clear signs that a man is still a mummy's boy
2. He calls his mother at any slight disagreement with his girlfriend or wife
The height of immaturity usually exhibited by some of these grey haired men is that some of them may be married but they still see a part of themselves in their parents house. When a little disagreement encrued in their matrimonial home, they start disturbing their mum on the phone to report their wives for any ridiculous thing that he can solve by himself.
3. He taxs his mum for money
Though, it is not bad to seek for financial assistance from one's mum, it's rather shameful to see an able bodied man in his 30's demanding money from his mum to play football bet, aja n sare, recharge card to impress side chics, etc. It's funny to note that these category of guys are usually promiscuous with sugar-coated tongues even though they are running on zero Naira account balance. In fact, some of them are ambassadors for deflowering and impregnating young girls.
4. He can't invite his girlfriend to his parents house
Out of his fear of how their mum will scold him for bringing a lady home, he would borrow his friend apartment to entertain his girlfriend and switch off his phone to avoid mum's call. Perhaps when sweet rendezvous, touching and bleeping is about to start, a call from his mum will make him discard the lady leaving her frustrated of konji.
5. They can't attend night events
Some mothers have strong hold on their sons that once it's 7pm, they are told to return home. Some of them will have to lie to their mumsy that are going for vigil just to chill out with friends or girl friends. This is one of the signs that a man is still a mummy's boy.
6. Their mothers still decide what they should wear
Imagine a guy who cannot buy shirts or shoes for himself in the absence of his mother is still mummy's puppet. It is hilarious especially for an old fashioned mother who chose over sized shirts and low quality traditional fabrics for his son. 7. They can't hang out with friends due to curfew placed by their mothers
For a guy who says his mother complains about the friends he keeps even when there is no derogatory attitude to fault them is still underage even if he is an adult. In the midst of his friends, he can't hold a meaningful conversation without refereeing his mum and after some time, he will start shaking/sweating due to frequent calls from his mother to know his whereabouts.
8. They have no liberty
It's very shocking that some guys above 30's under their parents roof cannot step their feet out of the house without their mums approval.

Go there and see myriads of state abandoned projects, even the road that passes OBJ's house is a death trap!
Biafra is Igbo's resolve.
Enough of sympathy-cries from Non Biafrans! Wow ignorance is a disease. Which OBJ's house are u referring to? Between major roads in Ogun state currently are under serious rehabilitation |

omofunaab: Yes it's offensive but quit displaying the victim mentality. I have been long here on nairaland to know that the igbos started this hate speeches here, the book "there was a country" released by chinua achebe ignited most of these hate speeches.
The biafran children pictures you made mention of was in reaction to most of your hate speeches here. Especially whenever you guys insult awolowo.. Ordinarily, most of us have no business with whatever you guys are doing but just to let you know that nobody has monopoly over hate speeches. this is exactly the arewa youths has done.
Even at that we have people like MasterChen and many others yorubas who usually appeal to the odua soldiers to take the pictures of the biafran children down.. Sometimes the mods usually do the needful.
Now, have you ever rebuked any of your brothers for posting pictures of rat poison with awolowo unprovoked?
I have told wristbangl that you are an hypocrite, he probably thinks other wise Bro, I have concluded on my the stance for the lady. she is indeed an hypocrite. |

Ishilove: How insensitive can some humans be?? Gbenga Adewusi in times past has been embroiled in various scandals of a similar nature.
Very shortly after the late ace comedian, actor and producer Gbenga Adeboye was buried, Adewusi allegedly started sleeping with Lara, Adeboye's beautiful wife.
Gbenga Adeboye's aged parents poured fuel into the raging controversy when they granted an interview alleging that Adewusi murdered Adeboye just to take total control of Lara.
Gbenga Adewusi had before then done his usual thing: eulogising Adeboye and massively marketing albums dedicated to 'keeping his memory fresh' I really don't know much about this useless nonentity called Gbenga but making a living from people's pitiable predicament is an insult and he is inviting incurable curse to his life. |

For such lady with her past record, it would be difficult to say No to her sexual advances because her ideology has been wired to sex-lust, vice versa situation which is completely different from yours. It would also be difficult to mould her to your kind of girl OP as you have a lot of work to do. If at the end of the day, it doesn't work out according to your plan please opt out from the relationship fast because she looks like someone who will be aggressive, violent and extremely jealous to act stupidly. But what if she is playing the victim card hence trying to put the pregnancy of her EX on you? Because it's strange for her to love up with you under 3days "pere" |

Amarabae: JUST LOOK AT THEM. Always mastubarting over Igbo issue. So a cartoon of Nnamdi kanu with Buhari in wrestling is an offence BUT when some yorubas here show Dying Kwashiokor Children inorder to mock the Igbos. It is not offensive? It is equally offensive posting pictures of mal-nourished children. However, you know how violent the core northerners can be atimes and for the interest of hardworking igbos whose investment are in the north, the IPOB wings need to thread carefully. Afterall referendum is on the way and that should be a good consolation instead of inciting unnecessary violence. To hasten the referendum process, what are the SE elites doing? Seems the struggle is for common street man so far and it's easy for him to be easily brainwashed due to frustration and abject poverty. |

nkwuocha: SMH. Look at how you foolish people are jubilating because of the ultimatum /marginalisation on Igbos. *taps him*Monkey, listen to me because I know you have a very shallow brain. You think to gulp down Yansh peppering tomato sauce with ewedu solves your problem. Now listen carefully you fools, even restructuring will NEVER come without bloodshed in this country. No tribe will escape what will happen in this country.Apart from biafra, the ND I know are ready to burn down the contraption. Do you know the difference between 1966 and likely 2017?This time around, EVERY BODY will count huge loses. At a point, thats if some of us are alive, we will realise that although the bloodshed was because biafra agitations, but go and Mark it somewhere, it will shift from biafra.Your churches all over the North will be bombed. Monkey, na only igbos dey go RCCG, WINNERS, CAC,ECWA,LORDS CHOOSEN, CATHOLIC? Some of you yorubas who are myopic don't understand anything. I may be a bigot, but I fear for everyone in this country. US and uk banned the sale of guns/ ammunitions to the Nigeria govt. AI just got them banned for Visa. What is brewing in this country, let's pray it doesn't. Muslims and Christians should pray. So many personal frustrations will fuel it the more. It will not be about Igbos alone, your yoruba churches will be affected.Brothers will kill in-laws because of ethnic and religious crisis. Anambra will kill kogi and kogi will kill anambra. At a point people will kill for what didn't start the problem in the first place. I say, families will arm their kids with gun to defend themselves. People will kill because they hungry angry for too long coupled with the biting hardship. The hate now in our country is like a mad man playing with a candle light close to a refilling station. Even Shiites and sunnis will be at eachother's throats. The other day a Yoruba man knocked down an Hausa bike man and he ran with speed as other bike men chased him, lucky enough, he drove straight to junction and ran to a police station. That man just escaped lynching. Them no born am well to stop, carry the victim go hospital. I say Hausa people for roast him and him car like chicken and NOTHING WILL HAPPEN! Case closed. Look at you, monkey, you think yorubas are enjoying non marginalization?some government establishments sends southerners to African countries for training while northerners gets better countries for same training. I repeat, your own Muslim yoruba brothers will give you up when those dreaded days comes . Even the Igbos will fight their brothers. Even the Ijaws will fight the itsekiris. The divide and rule of past government, the consequences will be so gruesome that people will kill for personal vendetta and injustice. Monkey, politicians of all tribes and their families will suffer losses. With the raging starvation, Hunger and frustration coupled with hate, religious and ethnic crisis, injustice in the judiciary, nepotism and marginalisation, Do you think Nigeria will survive it? Who are you going hold to preach peace to? Which section will be the first to drop their arms? I say human being go chop him fellow human being. Many groups will spring up to fight their different agitations. Even in our forces, people will kill on religious and ethnic lines. Monkey, you dey find work abi, *laughs *How long you want to work that work if you see am? I know you to be a writer of love stories. No wonder you are broke and jobless. I bet your parents are still fending for your upkeep. You know everything about women and yet you are not a author of any book. Shame no dey catch you? You have all this knowledge about women yet you're hopelessly jobless. It's only a fool that will see his "star" and still revert to chasing lose dreams. Since you've decided since the inception of nairaland to carry woman matter for head, if you don't use it to gather Money, then I'm sorry to say, na chewing gum them take pin ya head inside brain. Better grow up. IPOBS are demented people frustrating the effort of great igbos. Had it being this notorious grp have not made provoking utterance, the chances of igbos to secure presidential seat would have been very high. |

I don't pray history repeats itself as well meaning igbos and Nigerians are sounding note of warning to IPOB miscreants to desist from their barbaric act before it's too late.
Their issue is so complicated that we don't even know what they want again. They want referendum yet they are not seeking it legally, some are even proposing through ohaneze wing that an Igbo must be president in 2019 (shey no be through election abi na by force), okay they call the country zoo as if all tribes are not guilty of the corrupt system. Wetin IPOBS want gan gan? |

Hopeful20100: Even though I'm all for self determination, I'll support Patience Jonathan. As far as I'm concerned she is more Igbo than Ekweremadu and the rest. Whether it's her command of Igbo language or love for Igbos. And no idioot can intimidate her; she will follow through with disdmantling every element of marginalizations against the Igbos and SS; certainly her husband couldn't dare do it as they would have killed him. With her, she is fearless; a trait you find in Igbo women like her, late Dora, Iweala, Oduah, and the rest. And how will she represent the country on international scene with her disgraceful grammar? Why una dey reason like this nau |

I think only OBI rarely qualifies among the list. Okorocha would have been a formidable candidate but his abysmal performance will speak against him. As for Ekweremadu and Orji Kalu, I reserve my comment.. smh What is PEJ doing on the list? Her grammar alone will ruin this country. Is this the best list these people can come up with? Bunch of jokers indeed. All the best as they contest but IPOB should desist from corrosive languages been laid against other tribes most especially SW/North if they want to gain support and recognition |

I think Adenuga should buy Etisalat though the challenges will be massive considering the debt owed by etisalat, cost of operation which IHS handles their roll out operations and the way Glo handles their business.
To be honest, the economic situation has deterred so many investors to leave the country. To burn diesel everyday no easy, where is the electricity?
