If IPOB wants to have dialogue with Acting President, they should go through the right channel by writing all Igbo groups about the supposed meeting which in return they will have an agreement with FG on the proposed fixed date.
They can't be wailing and at same time expect Acting President to have a dialogue with them via an illegal way.
Perhaps only IPOB wings want to see acting president abi wetin sef?
I was a staunch supporter of this movement but recently I have seen some dubious moves from these ipob members. If you go to the page, all you see are heaps of insults on anything that doesn't sound fanatical and crazy. Many of these guys are always ready to curse your family because of your own idea.
The country was fairly stable before these guys came to be, at least the only noise emanating from this country was from the northeast and south south.
Now they have created discomfort on Igbo's in the north. Everyone is wary of the northerners close to him. Making so much noise and cursing people will not bring Biafra but create enemity with our neighbors.
I was having a conversation with an educated northerner on Monday, he said without mincing words that the igbos just buried their political power by showing others that if given power at the center, they are going to break the fragile wall in the country. He further went on to say, "No more trust from your tribe".
IPOB do not have guns, all fighter jets are in Kaduna, naval base is not in the east. if you start a war, you all will be slaughtered because even if our brothers will aids, it will be blocked again.
You don't need to burn the whole house because you are leaving.
Referendum should be done peacefully just like the way Benin republic and Cameroon (for example) did theirs yet they enjoy good relationship with Nigeria.
Agreed one day biafra would be achieved but if the current tongue lash from them continues after they must have seek a separate country, please who will be their trade partner? The very people they insulted will be their saving grace as their business patronage may drop sporadically due to their arrogant attitude.
Also like you mentioned without mincing words, this is their best shot to have a formidable presidential candidate for the next coming election but the chances are so slim owing to recent corrosive words from them. Anyway they don't care about the country anymore (I mean IPOBS). |

laudate: Thank you, o! Too many cars & tippers parked on either side of the road, cause a lot of congestion on that axis. The day, one VIP was coming there and they put mobile police and all sorts of security agencies there, there was no traffic. Everything moved seamlessly....
Ado road is not even a single lane type of road. It is just that on either side of the road, you would see several cars parked there along with Tippers, Danfos and other heavy-duty vehicles at intermittent points, (which all have no business being there) thereby narrowing the remaining space that is left for vehicular traffic. Ilaje too needs to be heavily decongested, as the inflow from that place contributes to the heavy traffic on Ado Road. You are right boss. Atleast this will be a temp solution to the hug traffic there pending when the road will be expanded |

fkj950ax: Interesting.....
An Igbo policeman who faced armed robbers in Zenith bank in Owerri (Igbo state) got killed in the process.
The Nigerian {Police and the bank allegedly abandoned his family. Now a YORUBA man, through Punch Newspaper (Owned by a Yoruba family) brought the story to the front burner and started GoFundMe for the late cop's family.
Within 2 days, over $16,000 had been raised and in the list of names of people who donated were Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo and every other tribe and tongue in Nigeria.
Ironically, this happened in the middle of so much hate and tribal bigotry ongoing in the country. While we hated, cursed and called each other names, underneath that madness, our humanity rose above hate and bigotry and we came together as one indivisible family in helping the slain policeman's family regardless of their tribe.
Nigerians, what is our problem? Doesnt this go to show that we hate for no apparent reason if we could show so much DETRIBALISED love in the middle of hate orgy that we got ourselves immersed in within the same period ?
We do not hate each other in the right sense of the word but some demonic people are pulling the strings of hate and we have decided to be willing puppets ! So sad.
Purge yourselves of negative energy.
.Have a good day. Copied from Emeka Obi Jeffrey! God bless the Igbo man to have made this statement |

GEJPosterity: Don't be surprised if I tell you that the original design for the Ado road axis developed under the Jakande Administration clearly set out that road as a 6-lane artery, but in its typical incompetence, the Lagos state government just built one tiny 3km stretch of asphalt and moved on, almost as if they can never envisage that the population will grow and put strain on the infrastructure.
They are repeating this EXACT same incompetent behaviour on the stretch between Abraham Adesanya and Ibeju Lekki. This is the area that has the Lekki Free Trade Zone, the new Lagos airport, Dangote refinery and dozens of housing estates and developments. Yet LASG has constructed just one tiny single-lane road with dangerous hairpin turns and no demarcation.
As usual, when the place starts filling up and the road becomes a daily nightmare, LASG will not own up to its own incompetence. What they will do is start sponsoring a few idiots with wasted destinies to start shouting "Lagos is full. Go back to your villages."
It's only in Nigeria that I've seen a government act like its own population is a dreadful burden, and that they should be grateful for whatever crumbs it throws their way, like a grossly inadequate and poorly-designed flyover bridge that actually worsens the existing problem. They even paid for a massive electronic advert on the billboard at the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge Admiralty way roundabout saying. "We are indeed grateful to you, Governor Ambode".
These people make you want to literally vomit. They are absolutely disgusting! You are right about your criticism. I hope that Ibeji Lekki have standard roads to hold the massive industrial layout of that channel so it won't degenerate to Agbara Industrial estate road nightmare. |

DamiBukola: This is a clarion call to Ambode to use his head when next building a fly over, the fly over is of no use. It is not serving the purpose it was built for, indeed it was a waste of public public.
I will snap the traffic gridlock the fly over built by the brainless man constructed and was been praised by fellow brainless Nairaland.
How can you built a fly over that will see 6 lanes diverting to just one lane Ado road? Sir, you can convey your message subtly without mentioning the bolded. It's pointless because you don't know who is viewing your comment. Internet never forgets. However you have made a reasonable point because the Ado single carriage way cannot bear the traffic heading to the 3 carriage way flyover. Until Ado road is expanded to atleast dual carriage way, such traffic gridlock won't stop. This is an opportunity to inform Lagos state government to quickly do the needful before the situation gets out of hand but we must appreciate their little effort so far but it's not enough. |

A dialogue is needed to calm the tribal unrest in the country. Nice one PYO. Let Igbos, Yorubas and Hausas put away their differences and build a great nation with the notion to err their sincere opinion through election to boot out incompetent government.
Our diversity as a nation is one of the reason we are top of the chart in terms of GDP in Africa.
USA is great today due to their diverse culture but what happened to soviet nation after Ukraine/romania referendum, Russia is still great but not as strong as it use to but ukraine/romania has been struggling since they opt out. |

Am starting to get really scared, because if he's doing this when we are engaged what will he do to me when when we are married One month is not too late to call off the wedding if your heart is heavy to proceed into a perceived abusive marriage that may surge to beating, molesting and more severe insults from your fiance. Forget the fact that people will encourage you to go through it since he takes care of your needs, his financial status is strong, his cute/handsome physique, etc except if you wish to become his punch bag. Money without love or peace of mind in marriage is nightmare which has made some people aged quickly or die before their time due to ugly experience been encountered. To be forearmed is to be forewarned. Don't ignore these red signals you are seeing now before it becomes too late for you. Cheers. |
