You are right. The roads at Agbara Estate needs total rehabilitation but then from what I heard work may commence fully next month. Ogun state is too big for amosun to handle alone.

Not well enough for a top four club. You watched the matches he played especialky towards the end of the season when city were still chasing. His measured impacts did not exceed that of Aguero or Gabriel. If you are a coach in that situation, looking to tie down a title or survive the top four you will not gamble and play him ahead of a more experienced Aguero or a more technical Gabriel. He has a bit to learn and if City cannot give him that opportunity this move to Westhan is welcome. City is not a player building club. No club aspiring to titles builds players be it Madrid or Bayern or does trials on the field of play when chasing.
You have a superior point though

Toure is way past his prime abeg and winding down his career. Nigerians lay too much emphasis on individuals. We do too much idolatry. Pep has always been about his formation and playing those with the qualities to adapt be it for good or bad results. Pep is a racist we hear yet brought in Gabriel Jesus. Jesus na white boy.... (no pun intended).
Bros I be barca fan but why I said "sometimes" I had to admit he is because he doesn't believe well in Africans most especially.

Can we say someone like Iheanacho is not performing well?

Why is it that most companies in Ogun are owned by foreigners?
It is not our fault that ogun state is attracting foreign investors which is due to proximity, large market, infrastructural development, good government incentives, condusive environment( security, etc).

Between there are indigenes of SW who owns companies in ogun state. Take for e.g Coleman wire and cables, Honeywell, Premier paints, Dulux, etc. The number is huge mehn!.

For the fact that you drop this post and this comment you just made, makes me realise you are very confused. No war will happen abeg. I hope the country is restructured fast so everybody will answer to their region's call.

Anyway, Junaid Mohammed is someone who should not be listened to. This is the same man that made a degrading statement that SW votes/efforts never made a difference in PMB last presidential campaign. The infrastructures he is complaining of, what about Ilorin-Jebba-Mokwa-Bida road in Niger, Kano - Postikum road, Kaduna - Kano road, etc. Abi this man don smoke weed again ni?

Agreed APC is a monumental failure but they are still executing projects (roads, infrastructure in some part of the country) despite low crude oil/forex sales compare to what PDP have during their tenure.

This is thread is a rejoinder to Alcatraz005 article:

https://www.nairaland.com/3822301/igbos-unfair-blame-yorubas-failure/3#56898719

Its high time we engage with tact, diplomacy and caution. Our agitation is genuine. If the Nigerian State had treated us well, over the years, the need for this agitation wouldn't have been there. Our voices is growing stronger and louder by the day, and I believe that the Nigerian State is sitting up to address the issues that affects us or possibly call for a restructure/referendum.
In this case, the tribal slur should stop. Ethnic and tribal engagement is needless, since that will not help the course. Its high time we engage opposing views with superior argument and knowledge. You can make your point without raining abuses or name calling. Its high time we ignore miscreants who create endless monikers to insult the Igbo race. If ignored, they will be forced to call up their mission.
Prof. Osibanjo's address was timely and engaging, no doubt about it. But those are his views. His views, were purely base on his office and constitutional responsibility. If Prof Osibanjo is an Igbo man, he will still do the same. He swore an oat to protect the sovereignty of the nation. So the attack on his person is unnecessary. We can disagree, to agree as long as respect is maintained. Time to thread on the part of diplomacy, tact and intelligence to win what rightly belong to us, that we've been striped off since the end of the civil war.

@Alcatraz005, I hope this thread does justice to your mind.
As a yoruba person, I appreciate the way you buttress your point in a sane manner hence understands the political quagmire of this country.

If we can have people like you in millions from all diverse culture in the country, we will achieve huge success.

The yoruba view on biafra remains indifferent as it's even on the side of its actuality nowadays because to be honest, an average Nigerian cannot boast he/she enjoy this country since childhood.

Though history plays some ugly experience but ruminating on such plights will only draw us back to stone age which is exactly what is happening now.

I hope one day we can look past our differences and forge a great nation because as for me, I don't care whether someone comes from north, east, west side of the country, if he/she has an agenda to shoot this nation from its current mess, I will gallantly throw my vote for the person.

We can't continue to spare the child by keeping the rod simply because our person is there, even if he is not performing, we want him like that. Not this time, Not this current century.

Tribal comments won't take us far. The French some weeks ago visited ogun state to acknowledge the state on exportation of rubber, timber, etc yet no noise was made about it.

Back to OP post, kudos to the government of anambra to export ugu as part of our foreign earning boost.

This is what Nigeria needs, a collective effort not tribal rants.

Contrary to what people think, getting a Nigerian Visa is not a walk in the park..it is tough!
Thanks for enlightening those who don't understand dear.

Though the situation of the country coupled with our porous borders has made people to believe anybody can enter the country as they like.

E.g is the fulani herdsmen but if our immigration bodies can really scrutinise illegal citizens in the country which will be difficult to curb, am telling you their number will be so enormous.
Politics › Re: Igbos' unfair blame Of Yorubas For the Failure Of the Biafran Experiment . by wristbangle:
AnonyNymous:
Epe is full of Ijebus. I am Ijebu and I am Yoruba. Lagos is as much as Yoruba land as the other states you mentioned, the only reason why it is populated with other tribes at the level it is is because it is the Economic Capital of Nigeria, and it was once the Administrative capital of Nigeria where the federal government was based.

Nairaland is just full of bigots, but I guess people are revealing their true nature/hidden thoughts here. And its sad. In real life, I have lots of Igbo friends and these issues don't even come up, we live in harmony together like nothing's wrong. I only have one friend that has ever spoken about Biafra with me, and he's an IPOB member. We made the mutual agreement not to talk about politics. Why is it only when it comes to arguing about politics that you see people descend to the lowest of lows and call each other unspeakable names? Its a shame that we have allowed the elite to divide us this way. And funny enough, if Nigeria were a working country, if everything was going fine in Nigeria I bet you there'd be NO SUCH THING as secession agitations from any tribe. Most if these cries for secession arise from the fact that things are not going as they should be. Secession is not the answer, but a total restructuring of this country and a reevaluation of our political system. China did it- and it took them just 20 years after doing it to lift 600 million people out of poverty. Fastforward to 2017 and they've created their first completely Made In China aeroplane. And China is far more diverse than Nigeria. I know a little Mandarin but the difference between a Mandarin speaker and a Cantonese speaker is like the difference between French and Spanish, it is very, very different. China was made up of several tiny city states before it was united under Mao. So stop blaming Lord Lugard. He has played his part in history. Italy as well was once referred to as a mere 'geographical expression'. Study your history and you'll know the vast difference in culture between a man from Venice or Florence, or someone from Rome. But yet they've somehow managed to make their country work.

However, I am but one voice and my opinion is nothing more than a grain of sand at a beach compared to the numerous cries for secession that have gained national attention. If we really think secession is the way forward, then push for it. We don't know the power of the masses. Instead of bickering among yourselves, actually take actions. The IPOB members who come here to rain insults at everyone who has a differing opinion makes my stomach churn. Any observer will know that the IPOB members on here have an ego button that just needs to be stroked and they sing your praises to the high heavens. The last time Buhari was sick, the Acting President Osinbajo was praised and celebrated by these people, but the moment he made a speech contrary to their opinion they called him all sorts of unspeakable names. Really. What did you expect the President of Nigeria to say? That the country that he has been entrusted to govern should break up. Sadly enough, many of them did not even read the speech. They did not read about his call for restructuring, or his call for the reevaluation of how things are dine in this country. They read the headlines and proceeded to attack him.

Sowore's article spoke about how the Nigerian youth on social media were a disappointment to him. He spoke of how he didn't see the fire within the youths to make a change. Like I said, the masses are the ones with power. Instead of making all threads in the political section about af*nja vs IPOB, the youths should be engaging in constructive debates and discussions on what to do and how to move forward. Threads should be created to battle all differences and reach a compromise- then push for the way forward. How many of you have ever written a letter to the senator representing you? How many of us have ever actually commuted to furthering any political cause? Ranting and insulting each other on social media does not change the fact that the elite of the society are getting fatter on our collective resources.
The power to change this country for good is in our hands and we don't even know it. We have seen how Nigerians have been able to rally round to generate resources for a cause. For example the #SaveMayowa saga. Why do we waste our energy fighting amongst ourselves when we can do the same to keep our elected officials on their feet? A country only gets the leaders it deserves. The indolence and ignorance of we youths has resulted into us getting leaders who take advantage of us.

But well, what do I know?
Sir, you are among the diplomats in this forum that have erred a spontaneous, truthful and thorough analysed comment. Permit me to copy this comment hence reference you when the needful arise?
