emmasege: And did David at anytime vacate his throne for Samuel or Nathan to sit? Please tell me. Yes, he was humble and respected God's prophets, but didn't undermine his kingly office. I'm sure you could even justify it with no Biblical reference if he kneels down for Adeboye, since the latter represents God. Have you forgotten how David almost went naked when praising God in the midst of average citizens of Israel? What humility can go this low compare to what king David did? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Adeboye Sitting On Ooni Of Ife's Palace Highest Stool (Photos) by wristbangle: 6:57pm On May 19, 2017 |
emmasege: This isn't humility on the part of Ooni, if you ask me. Rather, it's stupidity. And it's time certain custodians of tradition and culture in Ife and Yoruba land called this Ooni to order and taught him principles of royalty as befitting Oonirisa's stool. Has the existing cultural rule made the life of Ife people better? Oba respected the anointing of God in the life of Adeboye which is the reason he allowed him to sit on the customary chair which may provoke God to immensely bless his generation and that of well wishers. Please borrow a leaf of sense from David's story in the bible. Till date his name in heaven and on earth earmarks till eternity. |

LordAdam16: IamaNigerianGuy was the first person to start this we both are intellectual sound thing to try to end the carnage ModsWillKillNL has been receiving, and as I told him, it is an insult to put ModsWillKillNL on the same pedestal as myself. It is not pride, it is fact.
How can you call someone who is openly saying Dora's memo is imaginary intellectually sound. Someone that is openly denying that the old Ministry of Aviation was merged with the old Ministry of Transport to form the new Ministry of Transportation. And arguing that Sirika is not under Amaechi.
Someone that can't do a simple Google search. Someone that openly said Amaechi has never visited any airport in his Ministerial capacity.
Calling such a person intellectually sound is an insult to all the intellectually sound people on NL, you included. Because if you make some mistakes in a post, I expect that when someone points them out to you, you don't keep regurgitating the same trash, sticking to your guns when provided links prove your position to be a bunch of poorly construed trash.
ModsWillKillNL needs to be taught a lesson. A lesson that revisionism will not be tolerated by the better South. And that if it worked before, it sure as hell has lost its potency.
You are Yoruba, and I get that you would like to stand by your comrade in arms, but for the love of whatever you worship, don't say an obvious nutjob is intellectually sound. That makes whatever your contribution is a huge joke.
ModsWillKillNL moniker is dead and buried. We are just doing his funeral rites.
You are welcome to pay your respects but don't insult our sensitivities.
-Lord Guy, easy! I know your level of competence and intellect when it comes to political and financial issue. You have made your point, Can you let the issue slide? @ModswillkillNL, e don do oh! |

Lord made your brother to examine if truly the ewedu he took this morning wasn't weed. The guy is a killer. Guy, my objective here is not about someone slaying another. It's about "they" channelling their intellect into a united course. Why we are here fighting each other, politicians irrespective of their tribes are dining together building castle, fixing their children at juicy position, looting our treasure dry. I hope one day the youth of this nation will focus their energy on something productive. |

Congratulation to the aggrieved guy. He shouldn't mind people making jest of you.
NYSC has already flagged borno red for Corp members to serve there as you will be posted to your state of choice after 3 weeks orientation camp.
Your orientation camp will not take place in borno state, rather it will be att Gombe, Bauchi or Kano and later will be redeployed to wherever you choose.
Same happened to my friend's sister as she eventually served in Ibadan. |

mmsen: The level of agriculture that they engage is still minimal considering that Nigeria continues to import basic food items. If the wealthy people of that region engaged in real, heavy duty agriculture then I would understand your point.
As it is the many deficiencies of the North far outway any positives by way of their tepid agricultural industry.
P.S. I don't see the SE aligning with the North, even if they offer a VP slot. The cultural/ideological difference is too vast. Easterners are too driven by financial independence and self-sufficiency to find common cause with people driven by a desire to maintain a feudalistic hold on their society. Do I have a feeling for the second time on nairaland I am having conversation with an unbiased, patriotic and diplomatic person from SE region? Even if you as a person are not please to align with SW, I respect your profound view on political view. Very intelligent of you to state facts that are real on ground. As regards Agricultural aspect, basic foods are still being provided which no matter how meagre it maybe, it's something, though most of the processed foods still comes from southern part of the country and imported from abroad. |
