Jetleeee: You have a point! But you see, it's not Lagos's fault. It's the fault of those states themselves. The administrators especially.
Besides the ports, the major reason why Lagos is thriving is because that's where Nigeria's best brains are. Whose fault is it that other states are losing their human resources to Lagos? In fact, one of the biggest losers is Ibadan and she has herself to blame. Ibadan had the best brains in the SW until Post Bola Ige administrators messed things up. After that period, Ibadan became the butt of jokes about Shoprite escalators.
That has changed though. The oldies and trendsetters have started returning home. There is like a low-key think home movement most people aren't aware of
All Nigerian states need to emulate this and stop coming up with all sorts of fake conspiracies about Lagos doing certain things in the background to stop other states from thriving.
If the right infrastructure is in place, people will stay at home Intelligent and diplomatic reply bros |

ikp120: That house 400m? Trash! Give me 400m and I'll get you a mega mansion sitting on at least 2000sqm in the choicest part of Abuja or Lagos, and still keep at least 100m as change. That house at best is 60m. Just look at the distance between the gate and the building. That guy bought that house around less than 70m. That shiit's compound looks too tight to be bought by any reasonable person at that price.
#Waste #Lies You should know this news is fake or perhaps the celeb is lying as you rightly stated in your statement. To me, that house was rented which won't exceed N3m per year but these shameless celebs will be dishing out lies as if we Nigerians are dumb. wheezyoung: location is a determinant bro...lekki is expensive Bros, a N400 million naira apartment in lekki can never be like this. How much is a plot of land - patapata N20 million per plot. To construct that bungalow coupled with thorough finishing no go pass N20millions. Make we round am up, N50-N60 million. |

Business › Re: CBN Introduces New FOREX Rates, Dollar Now N360 For "Invisibles" by wristbangle: 12:24pm On Mar 27, 2017 |
YomiYarzo: This is another scam by CBN, It is a known fact that the devaluation of the Naira in the past months has largely been as a result of speculators and round tripping with cabals behind profiting while CBN had kept quiet CBN dubiously devalued the Naira from 200 naira to a dollar using the floating FX rate policy which should be based on demand and supply but has maintained Naira to dollar rate of about 307 Naira to 1 USD stipulating that banks cannot sell with more that 20% margin which it never enforced if truly CBN is serious about strengthening the Naira, Pegging the Naira to a dollar at a particular rate should be the least of its concern it should propose economic reforms to strengthen the naira while supporting local business initiatives and projects to will increase inflow of the dollar while leaving the rates to demand and supply. Following the riot act from FG to CBN, we have seen a strengthened Naira with CBN making dollars readily available to banks and BDCs to the point where banks have become bloated having met there customer demand for USD. With improved dollar liquidity in banks, there has been a free fall of the dollar at the parallel market with rates as low as 375 naira to a dollar lately. So while Nigerians are happy that the naira would continue to gain strength possibly hoping for rates as low as low as 300 and that Naira debit cards will soon be enabled by all banks for international transactions
The CBN dubiously creeps in again pegging the naira to a dollar @ 360 at the bank, it beats me hollow
Am beginning to wonder if CBN under the current helmsman Emefiele really wants a strengthened Naira and an improved economy because it policies are not only contradicting, such policies continues to inflict economic hardship on Nigerians and it is rubbishing the economic progress made Buhari's administration. Sometimes I also wonder why pegging the dollars @ a particular rate instead of allowing law of demand/supply to set in. Suppose this current policy is sustainable, we could have naira appreciating to 320/dollars but the fact that it has been pegged @ 360, which means corrupt is still being played underneath. Who is deceiving who? Why can't they allow the market determines the value by itself? Though corruption too will take place. This country sef |

Now that Brent oil is $50.72 per barrel against $58 some months ago and the price is still going downwards, what measures are being put in place by CBN to ensure reserves won't deplete and this policy is sustainable? I am glad they are really fighting to ensure Naira has value and for speculators to force out selling. |

Family › Re: Why Do Things Change After Marriage? by wristbangle: 3:52pm On Mar 26, 2017 |
tosyne2much: Though I'm not married neither am I a relationship expert but I think I can answer this question... As per say me sef no be small pikin again nah
Well, I think people go into marriage with high hopes and expectations of how they've always pictured it on Nollywood movies, how people describe the beauty of marriage, and how they've been fantasizing the marriage of other people and thus, short of expections trigger disappointment, enmity and disinterest among couples.
Most people tend overlook the flaws of their partners during courtship and take a bumpy ride into marriage with the ideology that marriage is a "magician" that completely changes or transforms people, without knowing that things sometimes do not happen that way... What you can't change at puberty, a mere RING cannot/may not change it.
Thats why it's said that LOVE is not enough to make someone your life partner, because there are other basic things that should be taken into considerations, and failure to do so makes your marriage vulnerable to chaos and abuse
When people get married, their eyes begin to open to reality after which they will get to realize that they ought to have married someone better, someone that will not hide her character just to earn a ring from someone. They begin to see some flaws in their partner which LOVE blindfolded them from seeing during courtship
In a nutshell, marriage is an eye opener. This is not the matter of satan or witches and wizards in your village firing boe and arrow at you There are no better ways to analyse the reasons u just gave. Nice one bro. |
