Education / Re: Got UK Admission, But Need Help! by wroskian(m): 2:19pm On Jul 23, 2016
Da12, I can relate to what you are going through now. Studying in UK without a scholarship or a rich sponsor could be really difficult.
Let me ask some questions:
Is the scholarship opportunity you applied for 100%?
Why is it on hold?
Does putting it on hold mean there won't be an award this year?
If the awarding body decides to go on with it, are you sure you'll get it?

Answer those questions sincerely. In the worst case, defer your admission and apply for the likes of Chevening, Commonwealth-shared Scholarship et.al against next year while having strong plan B and probably C in place because those scholarship opportunities are very competitive.

While taking your decision, you need to remember that the minimum balance must have been in your account 28days prior to applying for your tier4 visa and it takes 15 working days for your visa to be issued, but it can be fast-tracked for additional fees. You also need to consider the number of days it'll take for your school to issue your CAS number which will be used for visa processing.

It's really close Bro, but sincerely, you could meet up with 9th September enrollment date only if you get a scholarship or someone helps with the money.

Finally, I don't think Brexit would affect your studies in any way this year as the effect is not fully in place, it will take some time.

If I may ask, which school are we talking about? Cheers Bro.

Will sacking your employer be the best decision to take? What would you do in this kind of situation?

Wroskian!!! Don't be too harsh na. Have you taken your chillax med today? grin
I don't mean to be harsh, just that people lack knowledge of how their online activities could make or mar their chances in life.

Sincerely, I initially felt like sending the op a pm and linking him/her up with someone who might need his/her services before I decided to check his/her posts and what I saw pissed me off. Our education sector needs people with high moral standards. I'm sorry if I sound judgemental, but that's just the gospel truth.

Btw, my chillax medicine finished last week grin

LAUGH IT OFF!!! grin

A man who bed-wets went to see a psychiatrist.

PSYCHIATRIST: Does a dream usually precede your bed-wetting? Tell me how it happens.

MAN: A little demon appears to me in my sleep and
says, "Oya, let us pee". Then, I wake up to see the bed
wet with my urine.

PSYCHIATRIST: This is what you must do. If the demon
comes tonight and tells you "let us pee", just tell him
that you have already peed.
(The man left and returned the following day with tears
streaming down his face.)

PSYCHIATRIST: Why are you weeping? Didn't my
therapy work?

MAN: Walahi, you have worsened my case!

PSYCHIATRIST: What? How?

MAN: When the demon came, I told him I'd already peed. Then he said, "Oya, let us poo!".... grin grin

It happens like that! I remember last year too! Was quite sceptical when I did not see my application status. Only for me to receive a telephone interview invite.

For those that have written the test and passed. Chill, okay?

They said in the email that they would review your application. Keep calm, that's what they are doing.

At least that was what they did last year.

Cheers.
Egbon cheesy

To those that are sceptical about inclusion of referee details on their resumes; at this stage, it doesn't affect your candidature, this might not be the case for other openings. HR officials are more preoccupied with hiring the best hands now and you'll definitely provide references if you land the job. Including one's referee details on resumes is relative and discretional. Read more about that on this thread:

https://www.nairaland.com/2852481/referee-details-available-upon-request

NOTE: I am neither an HR professional nor a GSK employee yet.
