yorex2011:
Wow! See job requests everywhere..
I know how frustrating it can get,
I feel you guys' pain really i do.
Ok here's what will happen,
I'll share some ideas here, just did a lil brainstorming the last few minutes so lemme share what i came up with

Firstly, your resume /cv needs to be excellent, you don't need all the experience in te world to write a good cv, you just need to know how to present yourselves

Secondly do a Google search like this "engineering companies in lagos state", you'll get a ton of companies with links to their respective sites, some have career pages, fill and upload your cvs while also keeping track of the ones you've applied by writing them in a notebook.

Upload your cv to a cloud storage eg dropbox and get a share link to it that you save on your mobile phone for easily sending as texts to people who need your cv or to prospective employers

Learn new words each day to improve your vocabulary, there are tons of resources online, learn about mind mapping also

Read as often as you can, just about any kind of book, visit the various sections on nairaland also and learn somethinh new each day.. Business and career sections are good destinations.

Work on your mathematical, logic reasoning, etc cos you'll need them for aptitude tests.

Work on your confidence also..

Since i can't offer jobs or job vacancies, I'll offer what i can..
I can open a whatsapp or bbm group where i can help folks look at cvs, share knowledge that i have, improve vocabulary together, help work on arithmetic and logic skills as well as interview preparation using the concept of mind mapping.

So if anyone is interested, please like the comment above mine (or below) and I'll proceed...
Note i wont be available 100% of the time..
I also won't be able to manage many people so there will be a limit

Also any Nairalander here who wud want to assist would be highly appreciated

I'm tired of seeing all these "epp me epp me.!! everywhere"..

Disclaimer : i do not claim to be an authority in these things, just a regular person trying to make a difference
Nice one Bro. Thumbs up...

Can you provide a link to that please? Thanks in anticipation of your kind response.

Business / Re: Is N500,000 Enough To Start A Small Scale Restaurant? by wroskian(m): 6:11pm On Apr 18, 2016
@Damorchy, whether 500K would be enough is based on the class of restaurant you want to run(I guess you know what I'm talking about). Just come up with a strong feasibility study and business plan, then you'll be amazed how clear your direction would be.

When you eventually reach a conclusion, I could help supply bags of rice as well as design your banner or billboard. All the best.

Nice one Ademasta, but I think it would have been more apt to share information about how SOME of these companies can be applied to. Doing this would be of assistance to inexperienced jobseekers.

Education / Re: I'm Shy and About To Face A Large Crowd Pls I Need Your Advice by wroskian(m): 7:22pm On Apr 11, 2016
Nice post there @Decker.
Funmijoyb, looking at the closeness of your presentation, I will advise you prepare well as adequate preparation elicits confidence. In doing this, try as much as possible to anticipate questions that might be thrown at you and see yourself as a leader who is about to influence subordinates.

In the long term, you could as well join groups where you would be required to speak to people occasionally and before you know it, you become more confident. I got over my shyness by joining an acting group. All the best.

Education / Re: Samuel Olorunfemi-Adams, UniAbuja Lecturer, Accused Of Victimization (pics) by wroskian(m): 6:23pm On Mar 30, 2016
This happens when a man decides to become a lecturer not out of passion but out of frustration. Nigerian students are unfortunately at the mercy of frustrated lecturers scattered all over Nigerian universities.
Is it by force to lecture? Why transfer aggression to an innocent soul?

I hereby suggest that would-be lecturers be subjected to mental checks before engaging them in higher institutions.
