And do Nigeria have 24 hours elctricity power?, even with oil and borrowing?
I am disputing that they have 24hrs power, but they are not generating it. There is actually no country that can easily give us 20,000MW now...

ubong560: I might be forced with no option than to divert the anger/curse meant for FG/our leaders to 'Sexkillz' if he doesnt unban 'Redbenson' so he could be free to view his grievances over bad governance. Sexkillz and co, oya, take note of that. Unban Redbenson immediately so peace can reign. It's almost a month now since you banned. What felony did he commit?

Now back to topic, it's a pity that we are in this mess. I must tell u that i regret why God created me a Nigerian. I shld've become a citizen of a better state with better governance. Why do we always hear abt how much government is spending on projects and yet we see little or next to nothing on ground to such a voluminous amount of money said to have been spent on such projects? How come gej is still borrowing money till today and yet WE cant boast of any improvment in any sector? As if all the money they've stolen thru crude oil isnt enough, they now resort on borrowing from foreign banks all to end up accumulating in thier private accounts. Why?
You should be grateful you were not created in Chad, Niger or Mali.. Or as a black guy in Mauritania. Or not a slave in South America. Or a woman is India/Pakistan

There are many many countries worse than Nigeria... be grateful for the one you have wink

Botswana is a very rich country. They export Diamonds, Copper and other raw materials.

This is false information. Botswana imports 70% of its electricity from South Africa.

It is not advised to borrow money for consumption, but for capital project. Capital projects has a beginning and end.
Capital projects actually generates DIRECT economic activities which can be used to pay off the debt.

Its best to reduce you consumptions.

Because Nigeria is credit worthy!

Also if perfectly normal (and even advised) to borrow for capital projects.

Also they loans are NOT always money, many times its the cost of the equipments.

*Kails*:
Lol. Thats exactly what I was thinking.
Its more than possible.. read this
First they drill a hole most of the way through, and then they use a rubber mallet to crack open the pipe without making a spark. They insert a valve into the hole and then attach it to a tanker truck with a hose. The whole procedure takes about 20 minutes. You can also tap into a pipeline to steal natural gas.

Emancipate your self from mental slavery. ~ Bob Marley

Its ironic that you are criticizing one of the best things other Africans admire us for.

Nigeria is is largest country and Africa and represent it by proudly wearing our traditional dresses. Why must we sell our culture because we want to look smart to the west. If you think suit makes you look smart, you must have lost you pride as an African. Next you will also demand that we bleach our skins, and lose your language and stop eating your native foods, because we want to appear smarter to some people in the west!

So Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala will look smarter than the world acknowledges when she trades her native cloth and head tie for western clothes?

India and Arabs wear their national dress proudly, and i dont see anybody who thinks they are not smart!

falamangaa: Sounding like an area boy. You think you are Africas area boys?

Kenya is a sovereign country and it deserves the right to deport anyone it considers harmful to it's society.
He's lucky he's not in China or some Asian countries where he would have already been hanged.
Kenya is a sovereign country, and should obey THEIR own laws.

If the Chinedu is as bad as you say, why didnt you send him to Kenyan courts (unless you dont trust your courts), and duly notify Nigeria about the activity and conviction of his citizen?

China and Asian countries will have sent him to trial and properly get him convicted!!

So the law of Kenya is to catch anybody and deport with any concrete legal backing?

mulan-kenyan:
Kenya of all country is now Deporting Nigeria? Highest exporter of crude oil in Africa?
Giant of Africa,
huh you ask?

And that is what makes us wonder...why can't nigeria put it's house in order. Look at Kenya...no natural resource to talk of, yet...but we showed the world how to kick Somali renegades in order (Operation Linda Inchi - translates to: Operation defend our Land of Kenya), a feat that had defeated AU and the West (read USA).

We have not oil...but invented M-PESA, that is why the IT world looks at Kenya and goes gaga...yes, in our huts, we invent such things.

In all honest, we are brothers and sisters...yes, we all Africans. But we have to correct each other. The number of Kenyan girls on death-rows all over Asia because of Nigerian-led drug errands is a factor that has bothered us. Yes, one apple spoiled all.

Chineducan not even say how he got all the millions he claims. There are Kenyans selling hair and doing all the things these deportees are doing...why are they not millionaires.

The deportees are not telling you the truth. Honest Nigerians are welcome anytime. I still love the literary giants out of Nigeria.

One love, one continent, Africa.
Nice article. Nobody (even Nigerians) will condone drug trafficking.
But Kenya didnt follow proper protocol for dealing with aliens. You cant just cant a person in the street (even criminals) and deport them without trying them and notifying their country!

If you are sure that he is as bad, it should be easy to get a conviction, imprison and deport him!

Right now, there is no way to know if Kenya is simply victimizing Nigerians.

pendo89: Your post is worse than chinedu's crimes.lol
I am not going to research on your behalf but PLEASE google on natural resources in Kenya; Oil-north rift,coal-eastern,tea and coffee, limestone, soda ash, salt, gemstones, fluorspar, zinc, diatomite, gypsum, wildlife, hydropower. Those are called natural resources to name but a few.

And yep kenya imports crude oil and REFINES it in its own refinery for export to other countries. Please read stuff, info is free.

Some stuff people post online is laughable and shows how uneducated, short sighted, blinded and shallow minded we are.
Africans love tearing each other. While the East believe that nigerians are into wash wash,419,witchcraft,cannibalism,drugs and every other unimaginable crime, the west believes that East still lives in caves and walk naked. grin.I plead with Africans 'PLEASE TRAVEL' to other countries.

Ok that aside,Why is CHINEDU a major drug lord ask for Nigerian goverment's protection? What does that tell of a goverment?
Did Chinedu notify the goverment of Nigeria of his departure and dirty dealings abroad?
Did he remit tax back to Nigeria from the millions he claims to have?
He just landed in kenya, did business and become a millionaire? yet we know his close associates but they cannot be deported since kenya is their country.
Did any nigerian benefit from his drug money? Has he helped the poor in Nigeria? ok who knew chinedu before this ordeal? Has he ever called any nairalander to donate cash?
How has he helped his country?
The guy lived big and enjoyed what money could give him now he's humbled and wants the whole goverment to give him back the life he enjoyed?
No goverment would want to protect a drug lord. But hey this is Africa. smileythe criminals need protection but the innocent suffer.
You cant call it a crime until its proven. Why didnt Kenya try him in their court?

There are protocols for dealing with aliens. Did a court of proper jurisuction convict him? They failed to use legitimate avenue and is wrong.

Now they will have to deal with it cos of their detained plane

deeptesting: If you really do understand how much rich this country is, of course you will know it is capable of taking care of it's citizens irrespective of it's population if we put our human and natural resources into proper use as other nations that your Brothers are running to have done....We need a civil revolution in this country and if you happen to visit the West and you are forcefully repatriated,I am 90% sure you will be at forefront of the revolution because you will fully grasp the economics of waste that our past and present leaders have plunged us into and are not ready to change. Hope you know the population of China? But I don't see it's citizens running to every nook and cranny in the world to seek greener pasture.....

How easy is that

I know its hard, so she should seat down with him and discuss their responsibilities for their kids during the separation.

Let it be done with cool head, so that she can move forward. No need patching a leaking basket.

Let the decision to work for the marriage be borne by both partners, else she will die trying to hold it together alone!

angelhair: A while ago, I discovered my husband was having an affair. It wasn't a short term roll in the hay it was more of a relationship with another Lady.

Well to cut the long story short after all the trouble, the separation the quarrels and the tears and begging for forgiveness, we decided to give it another shot.

We moved on with our lives , until last week when I tried to use his phone and found a suspicious received call. Then I discovered he was still in contact with her. shocked now this lady has moved on, she's married now and has a child and is fearful for her own marriage cos I did threaten her about telling her husband what she was up to, so I'd doubt she will try.

So I asked him, dude what is all this about? From our discussion I realized that their relationship wasn't just sexual that he loved her and now he has a hard time letting go of her.

It is tough for me you know. I told her if he loves her, he can go to her and I'll be fine. He says he doesn't but I know he's lying, I know he loves her cos I cld tell he was pained when he realized she was getting married.

It's all really depressing right now, should I give him space to get over it cos he keeps calling her just to talk to her. Honestly right now, I'm tired, I'm about to give up.

Through a top-secret program authorized by federal judges working under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), the U.S. intelligence community can gain access to the servers of nine Internet companies for a wide range of digital data. Documents describing the previously undisclosed program, obtained by The Washington Post, show the breadth of U.S. electronic surveillance capabilities in the wake of a widely publicized controversy over warrantless wiretapping of U.S. domestic telephone communications in 2005.
