Christianity EtcRe: Atheists To Sue Governor Udom Emmanuel by wyzoe: 7:30pm On Jun 30, 2019
Duggedised12:
take your free advice to atheist, live and let live, because unfortunately, this thread does not depict that, the atheist are seeking for attention in the wrong way, they are a typical example of "na who them go fit beat them they attack" . using state money for religious purpose has been a thing for long ,but what I find rediculous is that they turn blind eye when Muslims do the very same thing which makes them nothing but hypocrites and sissies who are taking the tolerance if Christians for granted.

Of course most atheist are backslidden Christians so they are more like rebels and find it more comfortable to attack Christianity than Islam. So I am guessing those people in.those photos are the backslidden christians turn atheist. undecided.

Any way, the case is already lost.Atheist are just attention seekers. These are people who still battle with their fears daily ,they ponder what lie beyond for them, etc. I know this cos I have seen one. In the end, no one really knows what is beyond the other side, its the hope that keeps us going.

Cheers.
COZA.

You know about all atheists because you've seen one.

I hope you'll learn to be more rational in your judgement going forward.

Part of my preparation has been reading personal finance books by different authors (and I've read a lot).

The one I'm reading now is "I Will Teach You to be Rich" by Ramit Sethi.
I'm posting this because of a passage on taxes (since this is a debate that occurs from time to time on the travel section)

I’m happy to pay my taxes. I take advantage of every legal tax advantage I have, like using tax-advantaged accounts, but I know that my taxes contribute to an overall system of stability. I also know that I can always earn more, so I don’t use taxes as the primary factor in my decisions. Finally, if you ever get the urge to complain about taxes, go take a ride on a road anywhere else in the world. Notice the difference in infrastructure? So give me a break, pay your taxes, and be a contributing member of society.

Five Secrets to Immigrant Success in Canada
I have met hundreds of successful immigrants who were able to establish themselves in Canada, live their dreams and make a positive impact on the community around them. I couldn’t help but notice five consistent themes that stood out from observing those successful immigrants. Below are what I believe to be the secrets to immigrant success in Canada and I share them with you:

Embrace diversity. Many immigrants I meet don’t embrace diversity openly enough. They stay within their own cultural and ethnic groups. They hang out with people that they’re comfortable with. They prefer to live in neighborhoods where everybody comes from a similar background. All this limits their full understanding of the Canadian culture and the Canadian system and as a result, can restrict their growth in their careers and their lives. Therefore, the first aspect is to embrace diversity – be open to understanding and connecting with other cultures, and make new and different friends.

Develop Professionally. Success is about consistently growing as a professional. When you come to Canada, your education from your home country might not be considered as valid, as it’s not considered at par with the Canadian education system. So you might need to upgrade yourself. Join certification programs, and attend seminars and training sessions. These will make you skilled as a professional in your field and also position you as somebody who is serious and qualified for the job in the mind of the hiring manager.

Network. This means meeting people and positioning yourself in their minds in a way that they want to help you. This includes attending events, connecting with people and getting to know them. Not only does this help you build a network, but it also allows you to understand the ins and outs of different industries and how different companies operate. Check out one of our previous blogs specifically focused on networking success here.

Seek a mentor. This is a hack for succeeding in Canada. I have not seen anybody who has a mentor, and is unable to succeed at an exponentially faster pace than others. Find a mentor who has ‘been there, done that’ and is in a field somewhat similar to where you want to be, and ask for help. Be willing to open yourself up to learning and the results will be amazing.

Think big. You have landed in a place where the sky is the limit. People have been in the same shoes and have created careers and businesses that have not only made a positive difference in their life and the lives of their families but have also positively impacted Canada and the rest of the world. The only thing that limits you is your own thinking. Challenge yourself to think big, believe it’s possible and be willing to put in the work.

Use these five success secrets consistently and you will be the next immigrant success story in no time!

If anyone has tips, especially those under the "things I wished someone told me" category, I'm all ears.

Jakumo:
WyZoe you have mentioned a couple of the elder statesmen whose names feature prominently in the history of Blues music, and in so doing you have demonstrated superb taste in this genre of music.

Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Lightning Hopkins, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, along with a host of other pioneers of the art-form, are often described as the founding fathers of the Blues, with the late great B.B King taking up the torch more recently, when those earlier predecessors left this world to join the night shift.

Your response is much appreciated sir. The Blues is not a particularly popular genre of music in Africa today, which is ironic in that it was black descendants of African slaves taken to America, that created the Blues, way back in the days when songs were used as a coded means of communication among slaves whose masters often forbade them to speak, as they toiled through long working days, on those cotton farms.

Yes sir, the blues has a long, and tragic history, in America, and yet, accounts for some of the most uplifting and emotive tunes ever written by the hand of man.
You're right, the blues isn't appreciated in these parts. It's such a soul stirring artform.

Well done again. I'll post a few more of my favorites from time to time.

Robert Johnson was said to have sold his soul to the devil (na lie).

There's a movie called the Crossroads. Really interesting, Ry Cooder did the soundtrack (and some playing) I think.

Don't atheist have branches in the north?, I think they need to sue northern governors for buying cows and building mosques with state money undecided or are atheist afraid of Islam? Una nor want dagger, just call yourselves anti-christ already so we will know where you truly stand. Nonsense !

The section 10 of the so called constitution has been rubbished since some states in the north uphold the sharia law above the constitution, infact they have adopted sharia as their constitution ,where were these good for nothing atheist when northern governors have been using state money to pay hisbah police to enfore sharia law in their various states or have these atheist been sleeping? Dunderheads they all are I must say .

Even the pictures looks like some party drug addicts and dregs organize. undecided undecided, see a so called reasonable and logical human being gunning down beer like a riffraff . yet they calim they are the reasonable ones? lol.
Hi.

You shouldn't feed into everything at first blush. You're reinforcing some preconceived notions rather than keeping an open mind.

When I saw those pictures, I was offended as clearly the OP was being ridiculous. However I started laughing at some point because it's plainly ridiculous. The people in those pictures are likely Christians. Students having a party, not atheists.

An atheist isn't a hedonistic debauchery inclined fellow, an atheist is like the average person. If I snapped my fingers and turned you into an atheist, very little would change about you or your values. In fact there are many atheists that hold what you might say are Christian values.

by the way the belief of not believing in something is religion too.
No. Just no.

Free advice from me, live and let live. Religious arguments don't help, they waste time, effort and create animosity.

Cheers

Modified: with what's happening in COZA today (June 29/30) with Fatoyinbo and the Dakolos, you see what I mentioned up there (that the people in the pics the op mischievously posted are likely to be religious).

It's shameful that such a scandal can emanate from a place of worship and you and others are being so judgemental.

Learn to understand something before attacking it.

This is sad.

Just cause they were friends with benefits doesn't mean that a rape cannot occur.

A rape kit would have helped her case if a rape really happened.

But rape kits even dey naija?
Rape is notoriously difficult to prove. A tape kit cannot indicate rape, it might only indicate that copulation took place.
To prove rape, it's not enough to prove sexual acts, you must prove lack of consent.

That is the difficulty.
