It is given that civil servants acquire a plethora of degrees and certificates, but it does not necessarily translate to improve competency and performance. In fact, civil servants become so set in administrative and bureaucracy to the point that they detest progressive ideas and thinking. What Nigeria needs urgently is progressive ideas and different approaches to some of the issues plaguing it. Hence, the appointment of the acting SGF may be another wasted opportunity and a testimony Buhari lives in the past. My opinion though.
