Habillah: Yahaya Bello leading with 41,000 votes,Number of registeredvotes in those 92 polling unit is 49,000. numbers of permanent voters collected in those places is 25,000. Inec declined theelection base on the number of total#registrationof voters.Even if the whole 25,000 of votes casted in favour of PDP which is not possible they can never win. The election has been won already. You can never have morethan 25,000 on 5th dec. Assuming the whole 25,000 voted for PDP Fair pluswill still be leading with 11,000. The election has been won already.........Stay calm my beloved people. Interesting. The votes are attributed to Audu/Faleke, not Yahaya Bello. If Faleke decides not to be Yahaya Bello's deputy, INEC will have to run a new election. You can enquire from a Constitutional lawyer to enlighten you. |
Politics › Re: Buhari Shocks Ministers With Austere Benefits by Xano(m): 9:22am On Nov 28, 2015 |
abitex577: While the substantive minister will earn N2, 026, 400 Annual Basic Salary($8,514.285), Minister of State is to get N1.8million($7,563.025) per annum.
Other highlights of the conditions include: Estacode Allowance($900 per diem); Duty Tour Allowance(N35,000); Utilities Allowance(Telephone/ Electricity/ Water)–30% of Annual Basic Salary (N607,920); Domestic Staff Allowance(75% -((N1,519,800) of Annual Basic Salary; Medical Facilities (in accordance with NHIS Policy); Special Assistant (To be provided in kind); Security (To be provided in kind); Air Travel (By Business Class); Newspaper Allowance (15% of Annual Basic Salary-N303,960).
The letter said: “As a Political Office Holder, you must obtain permission from Mr. President before you travel out of Abuja. If the trip is official, Ministers are entitled to a Duty Tour Allowance of N35,000 per diem. However, all private journeys will attract no Allowance.
“Severance Allowance of 300 %of Annual Basic Salary payable after full tenure of office with government. The allowance will be pro-rated after a minimum of two years tenure.
It added: “200 % of Annual Basic Salary (N4,052,800) will be paid to you to enable you to acquire accommodation of your choice in line with monetization policy.
“Furniture Allowance. 300 %(N6,079,200) of Annual Basic Salary will be paid once in every four years. The allowance will be paid annually at the rate of 75% (N1,519,800) of Annual Basic salary.
“Motor Vehicle Fuelling Maintenance Allowance. 75% of Annual Basic Salary (N1,519,800) for the maintenance of your vehicle(s) as Government no longer provides chauffeur driven vehicles to Political Office Holders/Public Officers for house to office running.
“Annual Leave (30 calendar days for each leave year or calculated on pro-rata basis, with 10% of Annual Basic Salary(N202,640) as leave grant); Personal Assistant Allowance (25% of Annual Basic salary to enable you to employ a Personal Assistant of your choice).” I doubt if this will hold. The package has caused rumbles in the cabinet because while Nigerian ministers earn $8, 514.28 Per Annum (N2,026,400), their counterparts in Ghana are on $50,000 (N11,900,000) and those in South Africa (the highest paying in the continent) were said to be taking home about $302,521 per annum. Interesting. South Africa is rich in investments, organisation and natural resources. A reliable source said: “Most ministers have been sad since they received their letters of appointment because the salary and allowance package was a far cry from where they were coming from. We hope that ministers will eventually not steal if they have to serve this nation on hungry stomach. Systematic corruption may occur. There maybe inflated projects. “We have ministers in this government who left high-net worth job of $10,000 to $20,000 per month, how will they settle their bills? Some ministers have headed corporate. You can imagine a minister managing about $3billion portfolio now getting $8,521 per Annum.
“Some ministers have children in Ivy League universities where they are paying as much as $40,000 to $60,000 per annum. How will they be able to cope to meet up with their responsibilities?” LOL! Nigerian universities are available “Curiously, we have some Executive Secretaries, Directors-General and Group Managing Directors of parastatals like NNPC, PPMC, NCC, NDIC, PEF, PPPRA, DPR, NERC, NIGCOMSAT, and others who will be earning more than their ministers. I think the system is distorted somehow.”
Another source added: “To earn commensurate salaries and allowances, the president can explore foreign donors’ basket for payment of ministers. Or else, it will be difficult to get the best from this team. Hmmmm, foreign donor basket? It is a wrong idea. Interesting. “Alternatively, there might be scientific corruption in Buhari’s cabinet. This is the type of corruption we call ‘chop and clean mouth.’ President Buhari sir, there will be corruption of 'chop and clean mouth.' That's smart stealing. It is will be unfortunate. |

Politics › Re: Nigerians Are To Be Blamed For Fuel Scarcity - Kachukwu. by Xano(m): 7:50am On Nov 26, 2015 |
Flets: Kachikwu is absolutely wrong on these statements a d APC needs be reminded that propaganda at this time is not acceptable
1. The APC party have consistently blamed the previous govt on similar events. Since when did it change that helpless Nigerians are to be held responsible? This is clearly lack of responsibility from the APC led govt.
2. Never in the past did APC acknowledge the action of Capital Oil as a noble feat but Kachikwu is quick to term him a hero now in an attempt to pass the buck to the marketers and Nigerians. This is clear hypocrisy
3. Except the few months leading to the exit of past Govt, GEJ's govt witnessed absence of fuel scarcity for a good part of his five years (festive periods inclusive). How come GEJ/ Deziani didn't go about blaming marketers and Nigerians? Wouldn't it be wise that the new govt take a clue from the previous?
Its laziness on the part of Kachikwu not to sustain the continous supply of refined products like his predecessor did. NNPC under Diezani was ahead of the marketers in the game. There was always sufficient stocks to checkmate the excesses of the marketers when they attempt to hoard.
4. But most importantly, if statements like these should be coming from a man who Nigerians were looking up to end this scarcity menace permanently. ....... it clearly shows that this government has no blueprint or plan Thank you. He is blaming Nigerians for his inability to achieve what is expected of him. |

Interesting Bloggers 'should not' meet politicians or federal government officials; their 'integrity' is lost when they do so. Many individuals don't trust mainstream media, now some bloggers have join the list.
Investigative journalism is rare in this country. It has also lost integrity.
It is important to source information by yourself than believe publications(whether mainstream or bloggers). |

Wow! This is ill-advised and uncalled for. This FG choose to ban the most common capacity of generator in the country. Generator used by students, small saloons, phone/electronic repairers, residential occupants (especially rural communities),etc. Power generation in the country is unstable and not sufficient. Power distribution do not reach rural communities in this country.
Very funny decision. |

Whatever u choose to believe is inconsequential because it has no basis neither is it based on any verifiable facts. Those that should know have spoken. If u disagree, prove it with ur facts or shut ur trap. Dude, learn to communicate without insults, that's maturity. Educate yourself more, it will do you good. RevDesmondJuju is right. RevDesmondJuju: Ode, a Boeing 737 cost about $8,300 per hour of flight.
How many hours has Buhari clocked on this aircraft since assuming office?
A round trip to US will cost at least $90,000 excluding flight allowances to cabin crew which is drawn from the Presidential fleet.
Factor other flights plus ground servicing and Buhari would have spent over 4 million dollars. This is just for NGR001.
The CS300 costs around $5937.91 per hour, the 737-700 costs around $7073.40 per hour, the A320 costs around $7099.0 per hour, while the Boeing 757 costs around $8,383.15 per hour. With limited data on the dual engine widebodies, it appears that the Boeing 767 costs around $9,138.19 per hour to operate, the 777 costs around $8,383.15 per hour, and the Airbus A330 costs around $5937.91 per hour.

new2020: Why won't they resign? You bypassed them because you know that the next in line to take over by seniority was DCG Nwosu...you panicked, "he is Igbo and he can't be in such a position." Instead you went as far as...fear of Igbo... bringing a Northern geriatric retired army general, an outsider...something never done before... to make sure an Igbo man doesn't clinch that seat. THIS COUNTRY IS IMPLACABLY EVIL AND GOD IS ANGRY; INTENSELY ANGRY. The plan is to now assemble new DCGs with a northerner as senior to take over from the Geriatric general...he will resign within a yr or two to pave way for the prospective senior northerner DCG; you want to bet? All these while, I have been wondering why an outsider was brought in...not a DCG as customary procedure until a custom officer friend relayed me the gist of the inner politics. Is it a coincidence that 99% of all past comptroller general of customs are of Northern extraction? Interesting. You just confirmed the info i heard. |

winterfell007: Buhari by all indices does not understand that his laxity and indecision has really caused the nation a great deal of economic loss. during GEJ's administration, every investor coming to Africa always have Nigeria as the first point of destination. Rating Agencies like Rueters, JP Morgan and Fitch rated Nigeria high due to fast growth rate, better clarity of government policies such as: auto policy, power sector reform, sugar policy and gas based industrialization and improved civil service organization. i could remember attending expos and speakin wit various expatriates they highlighted how remarkable Nigeria has grown since the return to democracy and the upswing momemtum we've maintained since then. That seem to have slowed down. The growth of seemed to have slowed not just because of the plunge in oil price but the inconsistency and indecision of the current government. no one seem to understand where they are heading to. that in itself is the greatest contributor to slow growth rate. my humble contribution It is my hope PMB realizes this before it's becomes too unbearable. Thank you. Trust is earned. We hope it is not broken. An investor invests for profit, more employment, thus good for economic growth. If its worth it, they invest. If its too risky, they heed their advisors' advice and invest in other countries. |
