Politics / Boko Haram: Chief Of Army Staff Disagrees With Buhari Over Deadline by XavierBlue(m): 3:22pm On Oct 25, 2015
Contrary to reports by Nigerian president, Muhammadu
Buhari, that the war against Boko Haram may not end by
December, the Chief Of Army Staff (COAS), Maj-Gen Tukur
Buratai has said that the deadline remains intact.

President Buhari, had through Babachir Lawal, the Secretary
to the Government of the Federation (SGF), expressed fears
over the deadline he had given to flush out the insurgents, but
Buratai has informed that the military has stepped up the
battle against the terrorists.

Major-Genreal Tukur Buratai is in sharp disagreement with
President Muhammadu Buhari over December deadline on
Boko Haram

Speaking during his visit to officers and soldiers of the 3
Division, Nigerian Army Jos, on Sunday, the COAS said that
the tempo of the operation, the number of troops and the
equipment being employed by his men, have all increased.

“Our strategy and operational plans have continued to evolve
with the daily challenges that we have,” he added.

According to Vanguard, Buratai however, expressed worries
over the increased spate of bombings by the group in some
cities, especially on soft targets, in the last two weeks, but
remains optimistic that the army, in conjunction with other
security agencies would soon be able to quickly find a
solution to the spate of bombings.

While commending the soldiers in the battle front for a job
well done so far, he peladed with Nigerians to fully support
the fight by providing useful information to security agencies,
while also adding that his vision remains to reposition the
army and make it more professional and more responsive to
its responsibilities.

Only yesterday, the Nigerian president sent a delegation to
troubled Adamawa and Borno to commiserate with them over
the recent spate of bombings
in their states.

Religion / 8 Horrible Things People Do In Church by XavierBlue(m): 9:16am On Oct 11, 2015
1. sleeping / snoring during service

This appalling act tops the list. Sleeping during service and snoring loudly is ridiculous and morally wrong. It very common seeing this act in church, and funny enough, the elders(leaders) also partake in it. Maybe they're possessed or couldn't get enough sleep, just maybe.

2. Polluting the air during service
lol, funny right? but true. I wonder how blissful people who commit this act feels. I know of a friend who enjoys doing this act like fried rice. He said he enjoys viewing the funny demeanour of his poor victims. Those who are fun of this should stop.

3. display of affection

Many a couple are fun of this act. like rubbing hands on back during service. Last Sunday I experienced this when a couple sat in my front and were running hands on backs, getting cozy when the man of God was preaching. Making me wish for a wife.

4. taking change from the offering plate
Taking money from the offering plate in disguise of offering to the lord is berserk and absurd. Those who do this forget that they'll reap what they sow.

5. Wooing during service
Some will deny they've never done this. I have seen guys wooing girls right in the church during sermon uncountable times. My neighbor bro emeka is very fun of this. Even when stopped by an usher, they wouldn't stop in getting the girl consent in whatever they requires.

6. Awkward dancers

These set of people dances as if they're in clubs or probably showcasing their inborn talent. Rocking and twisting their frame in most awkward and ridiculous manners.

7. Using phones instead of Bibles
Almost every one is guilty if this. even the pastors too. Iam not advocating that pastors and members shouldn't use the software Bibles. But they tend to over use it.

8. making offensive sound with bubble gums

The ladies are mainly guilty of this act. I ask a girl why she partake in it and she said she dosnt want to sleep. those females who partake it are either mentally imbalanced or desperate attention seekers. especially the yet to be married ones.

Politics / Poem: The Bucks Stops Here For Buhari by XavierBlue(m): 9:16pm On Oct 06, 2015
By Edith Ohaja
As the Senate screens Nigeria’s prospective ministers, perhaps someone is, or rather should be, taking stock along these lines:

THE BUCK STOPS HERE

I have cultic followership in the North
And expediency-motivated loyalty in the West
But can I keep doing just as I please
Seeing that the buck stops here?
I trumped the mantra of change
I made many fabulous promises
But I chose not to hit the ground running
And the buck stops here
My early appointments alienated the South
I wanted familiar people that I can trust
I neglected that on the issue of promoting unity
The buck clearly stops here
I sought for an immaculate cabinet
But in politics, you can’t always call the shots
You’ve got to compromise or be trapped in a bog
Still the buck stops here
I have prioritized the war on corruption
Sought to instill discipline in public affairs
But the economy is haemorrhaging
I know, the buck stops here
I thought we were winning the war on terror
With surrenders and talks of negotiation
But a steelier approach is needed as recent blasts show
Certainly the buck stops here
The time of honeymoon is spent
Soon the ministers will start to work
But I need the support of all Nigerians
Even though the buck stops here

Kudos Xavierblue.

Our women then possess natural beauty unlike the palm cake faces we are seeing in the society Nowadays.
yea, with high number of bleached and transgendered, with plastic surgery.

Well! In as much as i don't support their fashion baloney, i do look from another angle.

If our girls didn't evolve with the world, still wearing the wrappers and locals hairs, believe me, our men wouldn't be marrying them as they might be termed too local or classless. Trust our guys na. Especially if the traveled out to other countries, and check out the classy babes. The wouldn't mind marrying them too.

The problem is, our girls tend to overdo this fashion madness. E.g. Cossy the milk factorycheesy

Politics / #NigeriaAt55: Buhari Address Ministerial List, Change Issues by XavierBlue(m): 7:05am On Oct 01, 2015
In his first Independence Day speech as Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari has explained to Nigerians why he submitted the ministerial list late.

In a speech made available to media houses before the 7am broadcast to commemorate the country’s 55th Independence anniversary, the Nigerian president also explained why he sent an incomplete list to the National Assembly late yesterday, citing the handing over procedure to his government by his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan, as a major setback.

Buhari, who also acknowledged the anxiety of Nigerians to see the ministers he will be working with for the next four years, disclosed that he could not submit the full list because he was yet to finish compiling the nominees for various parastatals, but will forward the additional names to the National Assembly in due course.

Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari, may have lost confidence in Senate President, Bukola Saraki
According to Leadership, he said:“Anyway, the wait is over. The first set of names for ministerial nominees for confirmation has been sent to the Senate. Subsequent lists will be forwarded in due course. Impatience is not a virtue.

“Fellow Nigerians, there has been a lot of anxiety and impatience over the apparent delay in the announcement of ministers. There is no cause to be anxious. Our government set out to do things methodically and properly.

“We received the handing over notes from the outgoing government only four days before taking over. Consequently, the Joda Transition Committee submitted its report on the reorganization of federal government structure after studying the handover notes.

“It would have been haphazard to announce ministers when the government had not finalized the number of ministries to optimally carry the burden of governance.

“Order is more vital than speed. Careful and deliberate decisions after consultations get far better results. And better results for our country is what the APC government for change is all about.

“As I said in my inaugural speech, I bear no ill will against anyone on past events. Nobody should fear anything from me. We are not after anyone. People should only fear the consequences of their actions. I hereby invite everyone, whatever his or her political view, to join me in working for the nation.”

He also spoke about the desired change Nigerians have been clamouring for, noting that it does not happen overnight as Nigerians need to exercise more patience and also imbibe the change themselves.

“I would like to end my address this morning on our agenda for Change. Change does not just happen. You and I and all of us must appreciate that we all have our part to play if we want to bring change about.

“We must change our lawless habits, our attitude to public office and public trust. We must change our unruly behaviour in schools, hospitals, market places, motor parks, on the roads, in homes and offices. To bring about change, we must change ourselves by being law-abiding citizens,”Buhari said.
On the Independence Day celebration, the president said October 1 calls for joy and celebrations for Nigerians despite the circumstances they find themselves because it is the day, 55 years ago, we liberated ourselves from the shackles of colonialism and began our long march to nationhood and to greatness.

“No temporary problems or passing challenges should stop us from honoring this day. Let us remind ourselves of the gifts God has given us. Our Creator has bequeathed to us numbers – Nigeria is the ninth most populated country on the planet.

“This would have enabled us to achieve not only more orderly political evolution and integration but also continuity and economic progress. Countries far less endowed have made greater economic progress by greater coherence and unity of purpose.

“Nonetheless, that we have remained together is an achievement we should all appreciate and try to consolidate. We have witnessed this year a change in our democratic development. The fact that an opposition party replaced an entrenched government in a free and fair election is indicative of the deeper roots of our democratic system.

“Whatever one’s views are, Nigerians must thank former President Jonathan for not digging-in in the face of defeat and thereby saving the country untold consequences,”President Buhari noted.

Meanwhile, former Rivers, Lagos, Ekiti and Anambra state governors, Rotimi Amaechi, Babatunde Fashola, Kayode Fayemi and Chris Ngige respectively have been rumoured to be on the president’s list submitted to Saraki yesterday night
