why is it that women keep using the "walk out of the house" phrase?? its freaking annoying for crying out loud! you pay your rent a woman gets you upset and you walk out your own house?? Good Lord! FYI, once a woman knows your very next move which in such case is you always walking out the house in an argument she`ll sure be pulling that stunt off more often just to get you out of the house when she does not feel like having you around. In my opinion the girl over reacted when the guy obviously tried to ignore the heated argument by pressing his BB which is not a crime last i checked and also the guy over reacted by beating her to the ground. A simple slap may have done the trick in such fury.  lipsrsealed

Christianity EtcRe: Tithes, Offerings And First Fruits - Do They Apply To Us As Christians? by xcolanto(m): 11:00pm On Feb 06, 2012
Solomon and Abraham are human just as we are, and here am laying emphasis on the principle they observed which is first fruiting and it worked for them just fine! the idea of Jesus dying for them or not is another topic all together. Now am sure no one here has forced you to observe first fruiting, hopefully undecided  and as i clearly stated what i wrote in my former post was my own opinion  cool. @FXKing2012
Christianity EtcRe: Tithes, Offerings And First Fruits - Do They Apply To Us As Christians? by xcolanto(m): 10:26pm On Feb 06, 2012
Been stumbling across this topic and felt the need to share my humble opinion, some say where did jesus say give tithes and first fruits in the bible, while I cannot dig such scriptures if ineed there are any, I would like to place the emphasis more on what has been practised over the years as regarding first fruits. Now great men that applied this principle of giving their first fruit to God lived and enjoyed life to the fullest, one of such men is king solomon, that gave his first fruit in terms of offerings and burnt offerings as observed in his time to glorify God and we all are familiar with his rewards as the wisest and richest king that ever lived and would live, This was also evident in the story and movie of king solomons mines. Also we have abraham who was willing to lay down his son (first fruit) to God as an offering but God saw his heart and let him keep his son. Offcourse till today his name still exists in the lips of men as he was crowned to be the father of all nations. To sum it all up, we have the alpha and omega (God the father) who laid down his son jesus (first fruit) that we may be saved from death (the soul) and given enternal life to all who believe in him. And today we can see the glory of God (his mercies to be precise) in all that we do. Hence its not mainly about where its written or not but observing and studying the word of God to apply the principles that cannot be compromised as long as they are applied with faith in God. Now some of the comments here are sickening because those that don't have strong faith and believe but are willing or do practise first fruit giving would begin to re-consider observing it! Shame

The rate at which NLers divert from the article and topic at hand is quite shameful. The subject of the article reads "Mugabe at the African union: Let`s stand up to the west". Yet most people are here blabbing about the local politics in Zimbabwe and farmlands! angry if anyone does not have anything to say relating to the content and the subject of the thread why not read and pass by than attack the personality of Mugabe rather than discuss the message his trying to pass across. undecided In my own opinion Africans and the A.U should find ways to handle their affairs rather than having the western countries pork-nosing in the affairs of the African continent. huh

From Munyaradzi Huni in ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia ´The Herald – Zimbabwe

PRESIDENT Mugabe has warned that recolonisation of Africa might take place if leaders fail to handle issues as the continent’s founding fathers used to do.
He said the AU should not rush to recognise Libya’s National Transitional Council, but look at exactly what happened in that country leading to the callous murder of Colonel Muammar Gadaffi. The President said America and Europe have ran out of resources and “they will come to Africa” as the continent continues to discover more resources.

Speaking during the session on Peace and Security here yesterday, President Mugabe said Africa should have said “No, No” to the bombing of Libya by NATO. Zimbabwe is a member of the AU Peace and Security Commission.

“We fought imperialism and colonialism and forced them out of Africa . . . Our founding fathers did not have the means, but they stood up and said ‘no’ but here we are absolutely silent.
“We should have said no, no to NATO,” said the President adding that due to the silence, “Gadaffi was killed in broad daylight, his children hunted like animals and then we rush to recognise the NTC.”

He said it was not the mandate of the Peace and Security Commission to recognise the NTC and the summit “should look at what happened and we should be deciding whether to recognise the NTC or not.” “Well, well that was Libya. Who will be next?” asked the President.

He said NATO had now discovered that “we are toothless bulldogs” and “they can come in and out” of the continent without anyone challenging them.
“This is not what our founding fathers would have thought would happen. We don’t certainly represent them properly if we take that stance. So I am saying let’s look at ourselves Mr Chairman, look at ourselves and look at Europe. “I saw a picture yesterday of Gadaffi shaking hands with Sarkozy in France after they invited him there, but those hands that Gadaffi was shaking were the hands that were going to kill him a few months later.“How far then do we go in associating with such people?

“They have an economic crisis in Europe, they have exhausted their resources.
“Africa still has plenty of them. We are discovering more oil, more minerals, gold more diamonds. We still have our natural resources, natural gas, so another recolonisation might take place. Let us take care, all of us. It has not just happened to Gadaffi.

“America will need more oil, Europe needs more oil,” he said, adding that soon after killing Gadaffi, America and Europe rushed to apportion themselves oil.
The President said he was there when the Organisation of African Unity was formed in 1963 in Ethiopia and he went on to attend its next meeting in 1964 in Cairo, Egypt, before he was arrested by the Rhodesian regime.

“You redeemed me (freeing him from jail), you redeemed Mandela and many more and we thank you because you are the successors of the founding fathers who actually did it.

“If they did it, you did it but this time there are things you are not doing which they would have done. Let us be like them,” he said to thunderous applause from the delegates.
South African President Jacob Zuma was chairing the session and soon after the President’s speech, a clearly livid and incoherent NTC representative took to the floor but some delegates were already walking out. grin grin

Looking at all these recent events unfolding in Nigeria, one thing comes to mind, 2015 predicted break up of Nigeria. Despite the involvement of foreign agencies like the CIA and what not on Nigerian soil to help combat these issues as invited by GEJ, its alarming that these events only seem to escalate and these foreign agencies are not scoring any points in combating this issues they are here for. Think Nigerians there are higher powers at play here. The idea is to get the north (muslims) against the south (christains), that's the only way Nigeria can divide! Foreign AffairsRe: Gadhafi's Family To Sue Nato ? by xcolanto(m): 10:03pm On Oct 30, 2011
@ Oletunow i do try to understand must of what you had written down, however a lot of what was discussed somehow changed focused into more diverse opinions and points on different issues other than what was being discussed originally on the thread. You would agree with me that the thread has been derailed to a large extent from the main issue grin. i would disagree with you to a large extent if you meant in your opinion that countries particularly from the west (developed countries) cannot or have not come together to accomplish a single goal or have a common interest at large, mostly France, the U.S and Britain. Most international organisations and world bodies eg Nato are made up of diverse countries, have different unique objectives and what not as you have put it but yet still come together to reach a single agreement when it comes to issues of national interest, foreign policies and most times personal interests backed by political pressures from "bigger" countries, an example is the case of the invasion of Libya backed by most member countries of the U.N due to any of the above reasons i had stated. hence your whole explanation on the U.S ideology is baseless as most of the reasons i stated above ride above political parties, this is why the congressman that took the Obama`s Administration to court suing to stop the US's involvement with NATO during the Libya invasion would have no solid case. About the (4th estate)that you seem to know a lot about, it would be ignorant to say that governments, individuals or multinational organisations et al do not have the ability to influence one another when it comes to issues of "interest" that could be beneficial to all or some parties involved in achieving whatever goal they set out. What i have stated here is being practiced very much in other democratic governments and the U.S is none to leave out. Now coming to most of the news corporations you listed out, it might be of interest that you carry out a little research on the Rupert Murdoch and come back to tell me that the media cannot be monopolized and biased when being "controlled" and owned by a cartel or a private individual that shares the same ideology or interests as the government for single purpose to be achieved. that baloney! Speaking on Google, last i heard it is not censored like china, hence independent and unbiased news and reporting can be gotten and displayed on it and do not get me wrong nowhere have i stated that all western companies bought into the lies and deceit of its government into invading Libya, if you had read my post carefully who would have noticed the news corporations i singled that played a major role in selling out the image of Gaddafi as a "living devil" on earth and failed to mention the numerous good he did for the people of Libya and Africa at large. I think you grossly misunderstood me when i made reference to one of the reasons The U.S et al felt a further need to invade Libya highlighting the case of china and Russia. Now i stated that Libya had more dealings with Russia and China when it came to vital trading arrangements like oil and weaponry which off course meant that the U.S et al were loosing out majorly on the wealth and resources of a precious and secured African nation (Libya). It is only "natural" that a war thirsty and blood sucking nation (U.S, concluded from all the wars (Iraq, afgan u name it!) and crises "they" have instigated through their agencies e.g CIA et al globally) grin would wage war against such a nation that has failed to come under their economical and financial control to secure and "steal" such opportunities while crying out dictatorship at the fore front of their own personal interests and posing as the "messiah" that had come to save the people of Libya from the "iron fist" of Gaddafi by apparently bombing the Libyan people (am sure you have read this line a lot and do not believe itm as it was not shown by CNN grin) . Furthermore, i may not know how the U.S economy works mainly because it does not "directly" affect me residing in Nigeria presently, so i`ll leave all the economic drama to you. cheesy . However, i do know that if the funds invested by the U.S government on the 8 months Libyan war were invested in the economy of the U.S, maybe it would have gone a long way in bettering the lives and economic situation of Americans in a positive way. I personally do not know where you reside from but supporting war for whatsoever reason when much energy has not been put into creating peace is pure crap! you speak of wars creating jobs and getting an economy on track?? i think you should be more concerned on the cause of the war and the atrocities that result from it such as death, rapes, loss of properties and family members etc that are a product from such uncalled and unnecessary wars by "world judges" U.S et al. "the art of war is one of the easiest ways of shocking an economy out of recession. The bombs used in war were manufactured long time ago, they are even aging in the warehouse, wars provide an opportunity to get ride of that, then manufacturing will start to produce new ones, defense budget will increase, companies will start hiring again because the government have created a big demand for labor, products and services" I found this a little disturbing but hey! we all entitled to our opinions lipsrsealed . you going on about Islamic banking and throwing up figures here and there when i had not made mention to the banking system that is operated in Libya to be the same as that of Islamic banking undecided All i did mention was that the banking system Libya operated was not controlled by the western bodies like the IMF and World bank with their dreading economic and financial policies huh. Clearly responding to the sentence you made before the last one, you have not read my opinion on the man of Gaddafi! i repeat and i state clearly NO WHERE HAVE I CALLED HIM A SAINT AND A GOOD MAN! who is?? show me one and i`ll show you Jesus grin all i had said and still state is that he could have been brought to justice in a more humane manner than a barbaric show off of "Rats" (NTC Rebels) lol. Most of the stories of people being tortured, killed, skinned alive and what not is evident in most countries if you want to be honest with yourself and the U.S is not left out of it as we hear of stories like this committed by U.S soldiers in various countries around the globe and even by their local police at home. Lastly, i can see you are aware that an invasion took place on an African country inspired and purely instigated by western interests, what saddens me most is the fact that you are aware that innocent citizens were killed and injured (mostly black migrants workers from chad, Niger and Nigeria) by NATO bombs and mercenaries yet u fail to see the reason why the so called NATO and Benghazi rebels NTC should not be brought to justice on all war crimes committed as well as the assassination of the ex-Libyan president Gaddafi and why the family of Gaddafi do not have a valid case against NATO for the reasons i stated in my first post.
Foreign AffairsRe: Gadhafi's Family To Sue Nato ? by xcolanto(m): 11:24am On Oct 30, 2011
Oletunow:
The invasion of Liyba by NATO is 100% legal and it will be upheld in the Hages. The UN Security Council voted to authorize the invasion. Gadaffi and his sons were indicted in The Hages and Interpol was given the authority to arrest them.

Agreed, he would not have been killed after he was captured alive. But there is no evidence that it was NATO or their mercenaries that captured him or killed him.

The purpose of the lawsuite in the Hages by his family is just to get publicity, it does not have substance.

You definitely do not have a first hand knowledge about what really took place in Liyba, what made you think that your sources are more reliable than CNN or the western media that had journalist in Liyba who spoke with people ther?

Yes, the guy must have been good to some section of his people, all dictators in history do not hate everyone, else they would not hold to power for too long, they need protection hence they have to be good to some. Alot of Liybans died during this fight against Gadaffi and many rejoiced in the street when they heard he has been captured/killed. These are real Liyba people and not mercenaries, he were that good to them, they would not have easily turn their back on him.
The invasion of Libya was backed by U.N and other western countries (Vato powers) based mainly on their interests (what they could get that they never had control over e.g oil and Libyan enormous funds etc). Did you know Libya has one of the largest oil reserve as an oil producing state and an independent banking system in which they neither owed or borrowed from western sapping institutions like the IMF and World bank who lend you money and dictate policies that favor them when you cant pay up?? you also should be familiar with the number one western policy (interest), that is why these western powers have continued to play a blind eye towards a lot of ongoing conflicts around the globe (precisely the African continent before the Arab spring came up) worse than the acclaimed situation in Libya. Look at Syria, Yemen and Bahrain. You may guess why?? ANSWER= those countries have nothing to offer "economically and financially" to the west. You may also want to ask why the west invested billions of pounds and dollars in supplying arms, bombs and mercenaries to overthrow the legitimate government of Libya while their economies needed the money the most to get back on track.lol! Too many unanswered questions wink You also should be aware that Libya had a lot of dealings with Russia and China rather than the U.S and France, both in oil and arms which was a direct treat to the supremacy of the U.S as the number one world power currently facing economic hardship and is being threatened to be overtaken by China in few years to come. The current economic hardship is also within the boarders of the E.U (Greece et al) hence the need to control more resources by the west from their number one source The African Continent is vital to their survival and maintaining their status in the globe. tongue Now it seems your not familiar with the adage i used when i said " those who the gods want to disgrace, they first make him mad". When the west is against you everything that belongs to them and things they control would automatically be against u. The CNN and co u mentioned are sure tools of the west as they are owned by them, hence off course its only natural that these news agencies spread lies and propaganda to suit their masters that foot their bills. grin or dont you think so?? cheesy No doubt, i agree with you that he was not loved by all (who is loved by all any ways) huh what is important here is the higher percentage (true libyan citizens) as against the minority (Benghazi rebels) who supported their leader up to the point of dying for him despite being bombed from above for months! and you say they easily turned their back on him?? a war for 8 Months is not easy man, holding out against over 40 countries from invasion is not as u see from your T.V on Cnn et al, there is more to what you are being shown man! how come NATO never showed the targets they bombed the most (Civilians)??. Indeed i was and still am astonished at how the brave true Libyans held out for that long, so where the Nato murdering comrades as they expressed the braveness of the people of sirte in holding back despite being bombarded from 3-4 angles daily shocked what greater love do you need his people to show for him again?? off course you do not expect Cnn to tell you that did u?? lipsrsealed . i`ll suggest if you wish to be more enlightened on what went on in Libya you Google, read and follow up news from multiple sources e.g RT, (al jazeera sold out to their Arab masters off course and stopped reporting the truth lipsrsealed) you tube uploads from independent and neutral people in Libya giving information opposite to what your favorites (CNN et al) tell you and not hold on to biased, unbalanced and cheap reporting to suit the western invasion of Libya. wow! now back to the topic, i still hold my view as expressed on my first post on this thread. cool

Yes the West started the Arab spring, they asked the Tunisians poor trader to set himself on fire then moved on to Egypt, when they are done with Egypt, they moved on to Libya, right?

The West has also start another war in Yemen and Syria, if all these are true then the West should be respected, they were able to convinced 5 Arab countries to topple their govts and these countries listened to the West and not their own govt.  Brilliant!!!!
Clearly u have little knowledge about the case of Libya and the policies of the west towards Africa on broad level!!, lol just a hint "Nothing good" Go and read up how "Europe underdeveloped Africa" and come back and tell me the west is not capable of plotting or kick starting the arab spring but not necessarily telling people to set themselves on fire undecided if u had been following the case of libya here on NL you would have come across a video posted by cap28 if am not mistaken on how the west planned on conquering 5 or 6 countries in 5 years cool just in case u need to see that for yourself, check up cap28 profile and hey! If you have a family member or a loved one in Libya and got killed (without is body accounted for) then you ll get the grip, I m done with this Gadaffi the Good man bull, cr  ap!

by the way where did you get this information from?:

a higher percentage of Libyan citizens loved and adored Gadhafi for various reasons, one being the fact that Libya was one of the last countries and him Gadhafi rulers to be controlled by western powers and their money sapping bodies, that's why Nato had to import a lot of mercenaries to do most of the fighting)

I laugh in french(better to laugh)
where have i called Ghadafi a good man here?? do not try to misquote or put words where i have not used them. As far as i am concerned no one is a saint on this planet earth! if we are all judged according to all what we have done, believe me they would be no one left, hence who makes man a judge over man?? (U.S Obama over Libya`s Gadhafi). point still remains he was not meant to be assassinated but allowed to face justice on a neutral and unbiased ground. Yo the point of the Nato mercenaries, it is no secret that non Libyans mostly Arabs fought in the war against Gadhafi, each sect with its own different reasons and interest backed up by the arms supply of the western powers e.g france et al . Do not be deceived most of the African countries justwise posted that fought for Gadhafi were migrants workers who were fighting for their lives, families and properties against the racist NTC government and its mostly imported rebels who were carrying out ethnic cleansing and raping of anything black  angry . Get a grip guys!! Gadhafi ent the devil, we have worse people in the world today even on NL, lol  cool

You can not discus the topic without mentioning dictatorship because that is what Gaddafi was, the idea that higher percentage of Libyans are happy with Gaddafi is grossly misleading, its even more misleading to suggest that NATO imported mercenaries to fight Gaddafi, do yourself a favor and read up about who used mercenaries from Niger,  Chad and Mali to kill Libyans, its no secret.

If higher percentage of Libyans are happy with Gaddafi why then did they start the protest that led to this? The West started it?
Gadhafi might have been a dictator no doubt! however i state again dictator or not! no one deserves to be humiliated the way Gadhafi was if not there is no justice. what ever happened to court order of the icc to trial Gadhafi on baseless allegations without evidence?? why was he not handed alive so he can be made to pay for all the "atrocities" you claim he committed?? why was a video shown of him alive and later a video shown of him dead saying he died from bullet wounds??  i think you need to do more independent research on the war in Libya and stop being spoon feed by western medias such as CNN and co who spread propaganda just to get the support of the "world" into justifying the invasion of Libya! they is a saying that "who the gods want to disgrace they first make him mad" you may want to ask yourself why Nato and its allies invade Libya in the first place? the truth behind that question if at all u do know the answer would bring knowledge and light into why Gadhafi was assassinated "by his own people" aka NATO mercenaries grin.

Your reply was in support of a dictator and his family and mine was against him, yes it matters how they died, i want them to die a painful death, infact i don't like the way Gaddafi died, it was too quick, he should have been allowed to die slowly.

You have a very right to support whoever you want.
Seems you did not understand my last post. Like i said the topic is not about dictatorship over democracy or whatever system of government or rule of law there is. Cant be bothered what system a country adopts as long as it works for them and they are happy( in the case of Libya, a higher percentage of Libyan citizens loved and adored Gadhafi for various reasons, one being the fact that Libya was one of the last countries and him Gadhafi rulers to be controlled by western powers and their money sapping bodies, that's why Nato had to import a lot of mercenaries to do most of the fighting). Now back to the topic, i think the family of Gadhafi have a case for the reason i stated in my first response to this thread.
